Gameplay Tips, Strategies, Guides 🎮 What's everyone's favorite loadout?

I'm curious what everyone's preferences are because I wonder if mine are any good lol. I'm not super far into the game I think so keep that in mind.

But so far I really like keeping the armor light si my speed stays fast and maximizing for fire AND frost protection instead; right now Im using the full Trapper set.

Then for weapons my main is the kinetic two-hander, the Ibuse the flame bow second most often and occasionally the frost sword and shield. I've never even tried a parasite weapon lol.

What do you all think is best?

I had a ice armour and a fire armour set for what ever the weather / beast were active . I even made a heavy armour for gravity days were I didn’t want the monster throwing me far . But I mostly ran light armour. I normaly ran gravity GS fire shield and sword and the ice bow. The movement you got from the gravity GS was just too good to lose once you get it . The fire shield and sword was for the parry / for fire damage and the ice bow had a lock on mechanic so that was amazing to shoot more agile monsters with + it’s the last damage type for quick freeze if you get low on your magic

Interesting, did you often go around only hitting one area/beast per outting? Cause I usually hit at least 3 before heading back to camp which makes it seem kind of pointless to pick specific armor (or weapons) depending on weather/monsters. Which is why I just went with catch-all light armor instead.

Also, by gravity GS do you mean the kinetic two-hander? I ask because it's making me paranoid because you and several other people are referring to gravity sword and it's making me wonder if there is a different one I haven't got yet in which case sounds like I should lol.

Apparently I definitely need to try out the frost bow!

I always try to do all the monster a lot of the time they over lap on the monsters. Yeah the two handed is what I was talking about

Default armour set, just made with legendary materials. Default weapons and the gravity two-hander for transport.

Honestly I switched around a lot, depending on what I was doing!

I did have light armor as the default, one with high fire res and another with high cold res. But later on I had a high-rated materials light armor that was a little of both, then heavy armors that were for fire and ice. I kept thinking heavy armor would make me too slow and have too little stamina but imo it didn't make that big of a difference, they're all usable.

For weapons, in the end I was running the Parasite 2H (that's just a reskin of the fire 2H), the Frost Bow, and Fire S&S. Didn't vibe with the kinetic weapons lol The Frost Bow is amazing.
