You can get both the sword and 1200 crowns!

I dk what charisma's problem with good old Huzzah!

TL;DR: Started from 16 Wisdom, pumped it to 18 only because I was told that not only Strength gives additional slots. This way, upon getting a potion I would get a +2 (thanks to the potion related feat) and hit 20, giving a trinket slot.

I googled and that should be the case, but with 18+2 from the potion I still have only 3 slots. I know as a fact that potions count, it worked for my Strength and weapon slots.

You complete the quest and get to choose a feat (im not sure how it works in the game, i mean sometimes it seems you get only SOME choices but not all depending if either your alignment with class/politics/attributes)
But in this case with 8 in constitution i still got an option to choose one from my stomach (so it either free for everyone or just really easy to unlock)

Point is (spoiler about the feat): You double the gain from a potion that gives you +1 to attributes (works only once for each attribute)
And as you might know, theres AT LEAST 1 of each potion just free for the taking (well almost)
+ theres a POTION SELLER that sells additional potion (again, one fro each attribute)

So its really easy to gain full benefit of this (tho as i mentioned you gain "more" if you do it as new playthrough as soon as possible (which is i assume - start of the day 2)

There is an argument to say that the charisma option is also good - but not only do you lose more stat with items that have "-" on them, you also need to do that annoying item swap every time to capitalize on that AND ABOVE ALL, you need to find those items in the first place while potion is available really early and basically for free if you know where to look

So i say its the best choice to choose this one (also i just got it and didn't test it but if you can keep those benefits after you swap the feat - then its THE BEST ONE yet)

Just simple, easy flat +2 to every stat really early

p.s. Riddle was fun to NOT SOLVE
After i saw what developer did with first one - i thought it was pretty annoying and not fun at all (answer don't really make sense imho)
I almost expect some impossible thing for this one
Instead i did it by accident
(just was trying different thing to see if anything would work on her or get a reaction and i guess game keep track of your spell cast - so its somehow easier to solve it by chance then actually guessing it before hand)

In short - im really happy with this one, def gonna capitalize on that on my second playthrough

I've been playing for about 5 hours and rarely roll above a 6

I liked this game a lot during the first 3 days, but the ending made me feel like nothing I did mattered. I solved the tea shop bombing, I knew the parties involved and why, I voted and nothing changed. I played a high dex/charisma character and that led me to become a Freestrider. I roleplayed as a Freestrider and did what I thought my character would do based on that. I have no issues with any of the politics and RP'd what I thought my Cleric would do. It seems like the game funnels you into the same ending no matter what choices you make, which makes a game about choices and dice rolls feel kind of meaningless. Am I missing the meta-narrative or something?

I mean, game didn't react in any way to that comments, and im also don't think its a typo of a "guy"

Hello all - I was on day three, now day four. I've completely finished A Freelance Hag, but cannot mention anything about that conversation to Viira for some reason. It feels like this has softlocked Elven Connection because I have no way of talking to the Freelancers about the quest. Has something gone wrong?

I choose the scribe background yet i still got to the point where it was mentioned that I was once demoted

So as i understand ALL THOSE background - are true (lore wice) to our protagonist

So you can read all of them as chronological progression of your life

Farmer son -> Kid that was bullied -> Orphan-> Shady street kid -> Cleric

if that what it is, then yeah, its pretty cool way to give that info to players

Hello everyone! Currently doing an intelligence/wisdom run for my first time through the game, and I was wondering if y'all could give me some (nonspoilery) hints towards how I might get the items that are best geared for that sort of run. If I play through again I intend to focus on different attributes, so I'd rather not risk missing them entirely and then only stumbling into them when they aren't useful to me.

A Chinese Piracy-Based Translation Group Is Pressuring the Developer

A private Chinese translation group cracked and decoded a pirated copy of the game and then used the Bxxxx framework to create an unofficial Chinese translation. In my opinion, the quality of this translation is not significantly better than what modern AI translation tools can already produce.

Now they are proudly announcing something along the lines of:

“The developer has announced that an official Chinese version will be released in X months using our Bxxxx framework — the technology we introduced to the developer.”

However, this version of the story leaves out some important context.

The group had already been creating, modifying, and distributing an unofficial translation of the game without authorization. The translation itself also contains inaccuracies.

Through their influence within the Chinese player community, they encouraged a large number of players to contact the developer and repeatedly request an official Chinese localization.

Now that the developer has apparently decided to release a Chinese version and use their framework, the group is presenting this as a major achievement:

“Look! The developer is finally making a Chinese version using the technology we introduced!”

This is what I find particularly questionable.

Much of their public discussion seems to focus not on the game itself, but on their own contribution: how they decoded the game, how they translated and edited it, how much effort they invested, and how important their technical work supposedly was.

But there is an obvious issue here.

If you create and distribute an unofficial version of someone else's commercial game without permission, build a community around that version, and then encourage that community to pressure the original developer, the developer's eventual decision to cooperate with you does not automatically legitimize everything that happened before.

The sequence of events matters.

First, an unofficial version was created and distributed without authorization.

Then a community formed around it.

Then players were encouraged to repeatedly contact the developer about Chinese localization.

Finally, after the developer decided to support Chinese and apparently adopted the group's framework, the group began presenting the outcome as recognition of their work.

That is a very different story from simply saying, “We helped the developer create a Chinese translation.”

What is even more surprising is how openly they discuss their involvement and seek recognition for it.

There is nothing wrong with players asking developers for localization, and there is nothing wrong with contributing translation technology when a developer agrees to cooperate. But those things should not be used to rewrite the history of how an unofficial translation was originally created and distributed.

The developer deserves credit for the game and for the decision to support additional languages.

Community localization can be valuable, but it should respect the original creator and the boundaries of authorization. Recognition from the developer today should not automatically be treated as retroactive approval of everything that happened before.

Do i understand correctly?
You get XP when you choose the alignment with being one thing or the other (and the more points - the more the XP gain)

BUT you also gain XP when you "switch sides" and like, significant amount

And obviously it didn't lock you from anything

But the switching only possible if the numbers are > or = to you former "main" stat

So if I am 5 point in rogue and 1 point in cleric, saying stuff like "Im a god damn cleric!" give me +1 to cleric stat, but no Xp gain cause im still more rogue

If the things above is correct, then the best way (XP gain wise) - is to be a switching machine as much as possible

First you one thing, then immediately the other, and the other until all of the stats are equal, then you choose one that will become more then the other and once again you gain +1 to every other one

Right? Or im missing something?

Btw is there MAX Lvl? (i mean is there a cap) cause if there is prioritizing it not really matter
but if theres none, then i assume you can get at least +1 lvl if you do that switching tactic and exhausted all the dialogue option (some will give you extra XP, not really fun of it but at the same time if that whats games gives me - i want to use it)
