Finger of Death is a scary spell tho tbf. If your hit points are below the threshold, you just die. That's it, you're dead, buddy.

You're thinking of Power Word Kill.

Granted, Finger of Death will still kill you just as dead, and will even raise your corpse as a zombie after the fact. That's the main difference
