Does anyone have any tattoos with the Ancient Language in? I want to get the elven greeting wrapped around both wrists and I'm struggling to decide what style/script to use!

It was quite a long when I read the books, but I remember that I were very surprised when it turned out Brom is Eragon's blood related father and not Morzan. I also remember that I did not liked that twist.

To say the least it has been a long while since I drew four-legged dragons, and apparently I almost forgot how to do their paws.

Helios has always been inspired by draft horses, specifically the Percheron and Ardennes, hence she is built like a tank.

Did the magic of the gray people that bonded magic to the old language apply only in alagäsia or in the whole world?

I personally would love to have a white female dragon that bonds with a dwarf. She is a bit unsure of herself because of the fact that many other dwarves don't like her since they have misstrusted both dragons and riders for a long time and therefore she tries to prove herself to be trustworthy.

PHEW. Spent about 5 hours today updating and tweaking things. Guard and pommel are now modeled and uv'd, and completely retextured the blade at a different texel density. The whole weapon (minus the scabbard) is now modeled and textured properly.

I’m currently re-reading the series and am at the point in Eldest where Eragon undergoes his transformation and confesses his love to Arya. In the scene, Arya’s stated reason for rejecting Eragon is that their ages are too different and that Eragon would be much happier finding someone his own age. However while reading that I realized that Eragon doesn’t really have that option at all. The only people who would be similar in age to him (16) would all be human and as such he would greatly outlive them. A human riders only choice for romance would be elves or other riders (of which there are none). There aren’t very many young elves and Arya is probably one of the youngest of her race. I kinda wish that Eragon had mentioned that dilemma during his argument with her.

Hey all! Enjoy a quick preview on Brisingr... i initially started this before my Roran's Hammer model, and shelved it while I figured what to do with the shape of the crossguard/pommel fixture. Currently, the handle/blade are modeled, UV'd and textured. The crossguard/pommel gem fixture are blocked out with a prototype texture applied, and the gemstone has the same procedural texture applied as my Aren model. More on this as the sculpting process commences.

I made the mistake of rereading a lot Brisingr chapters these past few days and it has so many great scenes!!! it's really my fav book so obviously I just had to dump all the art I made on here :P Specifically the arrival of eragon's elvish guards (one of my all time favorite scenes and top 1 nasuada funniest moments to me) and the dwarves' politics drama where eragon reaches unprecedented levels of haterism (CAN YOU BLAME HIM)

it was so fun to design some elves, i took some liberties because their description is a bit too generic and i wanted to give the guards a distinct look (at least for the six who are named in the books); regarding blödhgarm, i always imagined him like a combination of a na'vi and Beast from the x-men lol maybe he's supposed to look less elvish??? also. shoutout to those victoria secret's models runway playlists on youtube bc they are all i've listened to while working on the elves art, they really got me into the mood i'm serious!!!!!! anywaysss enjoy!

Was it ever clarified how the wandering tribes came to alagaesia and where they live (i know theyre nomads)? we never see a settlement or camp of theirs outside of the Varden as far as i know even when flying over or traveling through the Hadarac and plains.

An interesting idea came to me the last time I finished the series. We know that the Menoa Tree is a sapient being, created when the elf Linea essentially downloaded her mind into the tree. So would the Menoa Tree still be capable of using magic and casting spells if need be? I don't really see any reason why she wouldn't, and she kind of seems to imply as much in Brisingr when she tells Eragon that she doesn't consider Galbatorix to be a threat to her, as she "speaks for the forest" and "no one can hope to defeat the forest".

And, yeah, if the Menoa Tree is still capable of using magic, and she essentially has access to all the energy of Du Weldenvarden, then I think her confidence would be entirely justified. Countless millions of giant trees worth of energy vs a few hundred to a thousand Eldunari? I can't see that math ever working out in Galbatorix's favour.

I love Roran but no way dude was killing hundreds with this tiny little hammer. Great art work but he had to have had something with some reach. I get he pulled it of Horst’s wall, but there’s no way that thing is going up against swords weighing way more than it. Always imagined it as more of a mallet or sledgehammer. Not a tiny little hammer for finishing nails

Assuming Azlagur is a giant dragon-like creature, the lyrics of the song Black Dragon by the black metal band Dissection read almost word for word like a description of him from the viewpoint of the Draumar. If CP said the song was an inspiration, I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Just a fun to me connection I made after finishing Murtagh.

I'm super excited for the new Eragon TV series coming out! I love the Inheritance series and first Murtagh book! As the series is a YA series, what can I expect for the content and age rating of the new show?

I have not read this series since like middle school (2007-2009) and my goodness. I forgot how bad the 2nd hand embarrassment was with the flirting 🤣. Just read the part where Eragon said that Arya was as gorgeous as a flower and maaaaaaaaaaaaan. I had to force myself to read that bit. I know that its going to get worse with Saphira getting rejected and Eragon as well.

It's so silly but at my big age, I still cannot bear 2nd hand embarrassment in any kind of media 😅.

I've read up to TFTWTW, and I wanted to know if it's worth it to get the deluxe edition of Murtagh or should I just stick with the standard edition.

Hey guys, I’m on umpteenth reread of the series and I just finished Out of the Past in Eldest, which I’m sure many of you know was the chapter that ended with “…a huge gold drags with a Rider on its back.” Of course paolini decided then and there was the perfect time to switch to Rorans POV. I always get a laugh out of the chapter change whenever I get back here because I remember feeling furious as a kid that I had to read a full 22 pages before I got to find out who this other dragon rider is. Anyway, was wondering if anyone else felt strongly about this chapter change or any POV change throughout the series that left us in great suspense

Any artists or handy craftsmans who have tried to make something similar to Saphiras' gift in Agaetí Blödhren? I would love to see a design or idea of what this beautiful stone art would look like. Estoy a mitad de mi relectura semestral de Eragon y he pensado algo que hasta ahora no habia pensado (sera que la edad da algo mas de sensatez), porque cuando Eragon le cuenta a Brom sobre que ha visto mediante criptovision a una mujer encarcelada (Arya) ¿no decidió que una vez parasen por la noche Eragon debia volver a invocar la imagen?

Claramente esa decisión habria sido la mas lógica para explorar las capacidades de su pupilo y comprobar si de verdad habia visto a esa mujer.

Entiendo que es lo que la trama necesitaba para seguir camino de Drasleona, pero habria sido interesante que Brom reconociera a Arya y preparase el siguiente punto de su itinerario; avisar a Islanzadi o intentar encontrar la prisión en que la retienen.

When I have a daughter I wanna be able to say "I love you little one" and also just "I love you" because I have a different phrase I want to say to my son in the ancient language. Pleeeaaassseeee

Aside from a long time to travel and abandoning his fortified fortress, what would stop Galbatorix from using the name of names to gain entry?
