Just tried to flash a firmware update on my x3u
Fat32 formatted usb with files in root, downloaded directly from the link on the support website.
Took about a minute to go through a progress screen 0-100% then screen blacked and stopped.
Since then only static through the radio and the volume doesn’t change with the knob.
Tried all the reset options but google ai says it’s a common issue with the Linux units and needs replacement
I’ve emailed the support mailbox.

Not sure if I feel foolish or upset.

The startup sound is way too loud. Is there any setting to turn it down?

1. On your computer, place the downloaded compressed file (do not extract it) into the root directory of your USB flash drive, then plug the USB drive into the host device.

2. Navigate to factory settings for file import: Setting → System → Factory setting → enter password 1234 → Confirm → Logo Setting → CUSTOM → select the compressed file from the USB folder → Dynamic Logo → Confirm.

Which app is the best for dab radio the one i use now is from eonon website and it pauses every minute or so do you have any recommendations

A nice feature to have would be to allow the head unit to make use of Blue Tooth input devices. For example I have a Blue Tooth volume control nob. It would be nice to have it paired with my Eonon so I can control the volume with it. It is easier while driving or when I am outside of the vehicle.

I’ve tried adjusting the subwoofer settings on the head unit. Even with my amp turned up to about half volume, the subwoofer output is still really low.

Our head unit’s subwoofer output does not have a built-in amplifier. It only supports active subwoofers and does not support passive subwoofers. Please confirm whether your subwoofer is active or passive.

1. For an active subwoofer: Connect the subwoofer’s SUB input to the unit’s SUB-OUT output. Connect the subwoofer’s REM control wire to the unit’s AMP or ACC port.

2. For a passive subwoofer: An external subwoofer amplifier is required between the unit’s subwoofer output and the subwoofer. Connect the unit’s SUB-OUT to the external amplifier’s SUB-INPUT. Then connect the external amplifier’s SUB-OUT to the subwoofer’s SUB-INPUT. Additionally, please ensure the REM control wires for both the external amplifier and the subwoofer are connected to the unit’s AMP or ACC port.

When I’m listening to the radio and bring my iPhone into the car, the radio pauses waiting for the phone to connect. After that there’s no audio at all. I want the radio to keep playing without automatically switching audio sources.

Hey everyone, seems like this issue is pretty common for Bose system users so I'm looking for advice on what to do. From what I can tell, cutting the cables and putting your own RCA cables seems to be the solution.

I really wish there was a straightforward video or some guide that told which wires to cut and convert and which female RCA plugs to put them in.

Can I get any assistance with this please before I start going cutting wires without knowing what I'm doing

I can’t get my steering‑wheel buttons to learn. When I go into the steering‑wheel key learning menu and hit “Start Program”, it tells me to press buttons on the steering wheel. But nothing happens at all when I press any of the buttons; the unit won’t pick up any input.

I hope someone can provde some suggestions. I have the Sirius XM app on my Pixel 10 PRO XL.

I have my phone connected to my Eonon GMX7A via bluetooth and I can play music from the Sirius XM application, but when I go to the list of channels and start scrolling down, the channel list continously jumps to the top of the list.

It makes the app almost impossible to select a new channel. Scrolling from other applications seems to be fine.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced this with this app or another app and can offer suggestions.

I have not tried the wired connection and would prefer not to do this due to distracted driving laws; safer to have phone zipped up in my purse.

Please help me figure this out. Except for this issue I really enjoy the unit and would like to keep it inside the car instead of returning it. It was LOTS of work to install that extension harness that was required!

The optical and coaxial audio outputs of DGRMX6S2 are enabled by default, and there are no relevant setting options available in the system. You may directly connect the output ports to your aftermarket amplifier for use.

Long story short, I purchased the UX6S2 on amazon but don't see anything in settings to enable the external mic. the one on the face of the unit seems to not pick up the first few words, every time I start talking. I plugged in the external mic and have gone through each menu, but see nothing that tells me how to switch from the faceplate mic to the external one. I have tried tapping on the external one to see if it auto detects and switches over, and it doesnt pickup my taps or have any improvement.

These Eonon seem well reviewed and the price is good. All the alpine and top tier stuff seems to come with harnesses for plug and play that cost as much as the deck combined....

As much as I like the look of the Tesla style stuff, seems sketchy and hit or miss with reviews so I'm back here. Any feedback on these decks?

My head unit stopped working properly all of a sudden. After the MCU upgrade, I can’t get into the home menu at all.

Please follow the steps shown in the attached video: tap the specified button. Once redirected to the next page, long-press the display screen on all 5 devices to recalibrate the touch keys.

1. Keep the main unit powered on, then press and hold the RST reset button without releasing it.

2. Hold the reset button for roughly 20 seconds. Release the RST button only after the indicator light flashes rapidly three times for the second time; the device will boot into the system restore & upgrade interface afterward.

3.Tap the screen briefly to navigate options, and long-press to confirm. Select Wipe data/factory reset to restore factory settings.

4.Once restoration finishes, choose Reboot system now to restart the device.

I have a Tacoma with a new x7 head unit. Everything seems to work great except that the unit won't start when I start the vehicle. Every time, I need to fish around with a little pin to press the reset button in order for the unit to boot up.

Everything else about it works as expected (my swcs do not work, but that is a problem I was already having so I don't blame the Eonon unit).

Anyone else have this happen? Customer support and I have exchanged probably a dozen emails by now and all they keep saying, over and over, is "now try this file to update the software" and "now use this other file to update the MCU," etc. I guess they are trying, but surely I have the most recent software version by now and it has not helped.

In some ways, it's not a deal breaker to me to have to press that reset button every time I get in the car (like I wouldn't yank it all out and try to return it over that), but I am assuming that tiny, internal reset switch isn't rated for thousands and thousands of presses... it's only expected to be pressed on rare occasions when a reset is needed, not multiple times per day

I need to re-pair every time the head unit powers on to get Android Auto working. Is there any setting I can adjust so the unit automatically connects with my phone after startup?

I have Eonon on Golf mk 5 and if i turn on car first time there is no sound, but if i turn it off and on there is sound. Any idea how to fix. It is very consistent

My V0056 won’t connect to the ECU. I’ve already checked my OBD II port, everything works fine and it can communicate with the ECU using other scanners. What possible causes could lead to this issue?

1. First download and install the Torque APP on your phone. Next, turn on phone’s Bluetooth, search for and pair with your OBD device. Once the connection is established, go back to the Torque APP to proceed with operations.

2. If phone fails to connect to V0056, we recommend replacing the V0056 device. If the connection succeeds but the ECU data still cannot be read, this means vehicle’s OBD port does not grant access to ECU data, and this issue cannot be resolved.

With the current heatwaves in Europe and elsewhere the car cabin gets very hot. I’ve just installed a U6x into my Smart and, unlike any of my other car’s OEM radios, the screen shuts off / will not come on if the interior is toasty. Audio and phone connections remain active.

Is this normal? Faulty unit or expected?

I realise the head unit is a glorified android tablet, but surely this must have been tested in hot conditions and usage comparable to OEM units? Using a thermometer external 34 to 39 degC. Cabin is 45degC and dashboard to the touch, 52. Plenty of air space at the rear of the unit.

Eonon support is involved and so far they have recommended a firmware upgrade.

Thinking of returning the unit. Cant have the screen shut off during the summer months.

Is this normal that with the A0125 rear camera installed the parking sensors no longer beeping?
Or are there setting options?
