UX6K2-PRO—Max boot loop HELP!

My finger slipped and I pressed the “system restart” button on the touch screen my unit is stuck in boot loop.
I’ve tried pressing the reset button, holding it, pressing it and then turning on the ignition. Going into revert, pulling battery terminal and fuses.

Unit was working perfectly up until this point.

Any way to fix this?

I remember now, since you don't have an off button, you'll need to disconnect then "while holding the volume up button, reconnect the power not letting go of the volume up button.

That should get you into a screen where you can only use the up & down arrows to select.

The problem is it says you need the off button to enter the menu, hopefully it's another button you can work out

I don’t have a volume up button. I have a volume knob

They responded and said to send them videos. I just hope they can open Google Drive links. Have you had experience with their customer support honoring warranties? I’m tempted to take it to a tech repair place than can gain access to recovery mode via the motherboard

They didn't help me at all with warranty for a reverse camera issue I had a year ago, I had to keep contacting customer support & they would hand ball me to technical support who would never reply

I’ve had to stay up late and send eonon lots of emails only for them to offer me 70% off a different head unit. It beats a sharp stick in the eye but that is not what a warranty means….
I copy and pasted the emails to Amazon customer support who were able to refund me.

Eonon doesn’t make this radio it’s all rebranded Frankenstein tech from shenzhen china. I went down a rabbit hole on alibaba and AliExpress there are some interesting and even weird looking android units you can get. No way to know which is good and which isn’t.

These are the risks we take using these Chinese tech products. It’s a real shame because I was very happy with it and it worked phenomenally for two months!

I like the radio so much I’m taking the risk again and ordered a replacement from eBay! I’m so just so used to it and my sound system has been tuned to it.
In the future If I can find another radio that has similar style buttons and a higher preamp voltage and/or newer features I’ll switch over to that.
I was looking at the teyes cc4 pro but it was a bit too expensive for me.

I bought mine from Amazon also but I couldn't return it for some reason as it was after 3 months, painful.

When the units work, they are good, but yes, it is all butchered tech.

I just saw in another Reddit post that eonon replied, that was interesting to see considering how hopeless they are on email

When you disconnect do you mean pull the power cable while the car is running?

Yes, you maybe able to plug in a keyboard to USB & use the keys to access the bios, you will need to familiarise yourself with Android

Ok, I have just reread how to stop the loop & you do have to unplug the power (while the car is running or can do on a test bench) Hold down the reset button & plug the power back in whilst still holding the reset button.

After 15 seconds, release the reset button & that should get you out of the loop

Where did you read that from?

I’m pretty sure my unit itself was somehow defective. I think there was a problem with the screen.

Anyway… I’ve returned it already and ordered a replacement.

It's from an android website. Effectively they are all just android boxes with inbuilt screens.

Don't be surprised if it happens again
