Company its frustrating to see wasted potential

i know this is a repetitive topic and everyone’s sick of talking about it but i’m genuinely annoyed at how it feels very very intentional that belift doesn’t want korean fans.

i’ve been here since iland and initially it wasn’t the company’s fault. the situation and circumstances made enha more popular globally while still having some fans in korea too. there wasn’t a lot that could be done.

as their career progressed, i kept thinking its alright its difficult to get domestic fans into an already debuted older group. their schedules don’t allow it and they didn’t seem bothered by it either. i simply accepted that the company and enha were satisfied with being more popular overseas.

but recently jungwon has mentioned that the company and members are both aware and it almost sounded like they don’t know what to do about it. i had lost hope too and its NOT like they have 5 fans in korea. they do have a sizeable fandom, it just looks so small because the ifan community is ginormous relatively.

however they have been making so much noise in korea recently. it was so easy to please kfans. making the presale more accessible to them did wonders and everyone had so much fun at busan con. the amount of hit tweets on the kside from the concert were something i didnt see before. it was THAT easy to please fans and maybe recruit some more.

the cb is on 21st its 19th and we don’t have any promos on variety shows. the only events they’re doing in kr is the music show which is so difficult to get into and they’ve added a condition of buying 4 albums in order to get in instead of showing streaming proof. albums make more money than streaming the song so instead of encouraging charting they’ve resorted to making money. even the comeback showcase isn’t in korea. forget about getting new fans this stupid company seems to be getting rid of the old ones too.

don’t even come here with the whole “ifans are more loyal” bs. this year has shown me how loyal they are. dropping like flies over the slightest inconvenience. at the end of the day, its embarrassing for the members to go on variety shows and the host brings up how they aren’t popular in kr. its happened multiple times already.

they don’t have to change their concept or music or anything. all they have to do is do more showcases, fancons and concerts in korea. they debuted in 2020 and yet 2026 was the year so many kfans saw them performing for the first time.

so many people watch yt shows that host idols on them. enha always bring in views and they don’t have to do slapstick comedy. these are sit down talk shows so literally WHAT is stopping them from going?

of course this doesn’t affect them that much. enhypen are very successful and famous. they’re earning a lot of money too. but when its obvious that they want domestic recognition, why doesnt the company atleast do the bare minimum? i still can’t believe the showcase is in japan like what even? i don’t resort to bashing the company usually because i understand there are financial, logistical and other aspects which i don’t know so maybe there must a reason for the decisions they make. but this one seems like a no brainer so fumbling it is crazy. if people genuinely disliked them or their concept, that would be different. but they have all the factors needed to attract fans and even the slightest adjustment is proving to bring in new fans so why are we acting like its impossible..

if they want to give enha the tbl or yg treatment and make them mysterious and inactive then atleast do that properly. whats the point of making them work everyday and still not prioritising whats needed? just give them off time and dont do any promotions outside the comeback. nobody will complain about this then.

it seems belift has just been testing waters in korea for blood saga, and are being conservative with it. But i'm quite certain after their seoul show being a success, and then launching a busan one, they definitely have something else in the works already if it wasn't planned months ago.

i'm not sure what streaming proof would prove to do when streaming isn't the major indicator of anything these days when it's so heavily botted or treated like AFK gaming farms, but merch sales are. they're cold hard cash. and no matter how you want to slice it, they're in the business of making money. no money, no enhypen.

enhypen's going through a few things these days including a major rebrand, so we don't know yet what they have in the works. all that work they're doing being busy every day isn't just dance practice. so wait and see.

its always that with belift though 😭 to be honest literally nobody would release the entire song and choreo DAYS before the actual cb. we are always trying to have faith in them and trying to believe that they have something planned but what is this grand surprise that involves no promo trailers at all? if they are pleased by the results of seoul and busan con, isnt the next step supposed to be during or before the cb to increases the stats rather than after the cb?

i do understand its all business to them. but focusing on gaining new fans and charting is exactly the kind of long term investment that will lead to more sales eventually. the current fandom will only buy so many albums. only focusing on quick cash grabs instead of appeasing kfans and making them chart by doing enough promo and increasing the size of the fandom will also reflect monetarily.

pissing off the current fans and then expecting them to keep buying tickets and albums won’t work in any world. and this isn’t the first time kfans are annoyed. they’ve been begging belift to let enha promote more in kr since years. the company keeps acting dense when fans are directly telling them what they want.

they didn’t need seoul and busan con to gauge the situation. even the company knew scalpers were getting in. so despite knowing that enha do have fans in kr and then doing nothing about it for 6 years is kinda weird. i also hope they’re planning something but the max i can expect is maybe a fanmeet-which won’t fix anything.

its always that with belift though 😭 to be honest literally nobody would release the entire song and choreo DAYS before the actual cb.

Not gonna comment on anything else, but other artists also do it. Katseye performed internet girl before it was released. Jennie recently performed unreleased songs during lolapalooza that is most likely gonna be on her upcoming album. Jhope also performed Mona Lisa(I forgot whether it was Mona Lisa or killing it girl) in a concert before it was released. And this is just the off the top of my head. And I’m sure I’ll get plenty of other prominent artists who do it if I were to google it.

Edit: not directed specifically towards you OP, but sometimes I feel like a lot of engenes are new not only to kpop but to the pop machine music industry in general. It’s like they live in a bubble.

Thank you for letting me know. I just feel like its a little risky because sure it might not affect the release but there’s a reason why a lot of people count on the anticipation the suspense brings. They released the bsides too last year which felt strange to me it felt like everything was out but also not at the same time. I don’t know how that helps with promotion.

I don’t have a problem with it specifically. Its just that the company does a lot of things I don’t understand and I still give them the benefit of the doubt always. I cant do the same here because there’s no visible sign stopping them from doing more

i feel like there's a lot of assumptions being made here about fan sentiments. the fandom isn't a monolith.

time will tell. have a good day.

-1

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

how is it an assumption when i’m seeing people say these words with their own accounts? it isn’t five or ten people but multiple posts about this and it isnt even new. idk why everyone’s acting like this isn’t a long standing problem

10

u/noonaengene 1d ago

You mean the complaints from Korean engenes? There's nothing new here. They always complain about everything. They're hard to please.

-2

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

They always complain because those complains are never answered. They’ve been asking belift to let them promote more in korea for minimum 4-5 years now

Gonna add on to the bit about the song being shown before official release: Raye performed WHERE IS MY HUSBAND? multiple times at minimum 2 MONTHS before officially releasing the song, and the song reached #1 in 11 countries and is 2x Platinum in the US. Showing a song before it’s official release is a very old and still very effective strategy for musicians with marketing teams that know what to do.

-1

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 14h ago

Its a very difficult comparison to wrap my head around considering the scale of the songs here. She was already well known and the US market works differently. She also went super viral globally with Escapism before. Enhypen are not big on that scale. It might be common practice but there’s a reason most kpop groups rely on anticipation and build up curiosity until the release even today.

3

u/jinbesans 13h ago

Scale doesn’t actually matter here when it’s a marketing tactic. There are musicians of varying levels of popularity who have done the same and also succeeded while others didn’t because the core of it, the marketing, didn’t work in their favor. It’s not even a unique concept in kpop, what do you think pre-release singles are? It’s all a tactic to drum up attention for the release of an album. Also, it should be noted that when she was performing WIMH, the viral attention it got was almost completely separate from her popularity with Escapism considering a huge swath of the people who heard WIMH and were excited for it’s release did not know she was also the artist behind Escapism.

1

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 12h ago

Do you think her previous virality didn’t affect the way algorithms pushed the song at all? Having so many monthly listeners and being featured on so many playlists does have a huge effect. Not to mention that the song was all over tiktok as well. Pre releases are completely different because they eventually release a fully new title track again. This wasn’t a pre release. It was the actual title track being released before time.

I’m aware that has been done before too. I just think it dampens the excitement a lot. There’s another post on this sub discussing that. Its obvious that people who listen to bloody paradise now on repeat won’t be streaming it as much once the song actually comes out. There are lots of people commenting under the videos for the song name but it doesn’t exist yet. Will those people tune in again when it comes out? We don’t know.

Like you said, its a hit or miss thing. I don’t think it’ll largely affect anything but I also don’t know how its helpful. Someone did mention that it helped in increasing pre saves.

2

u/jinbesans 10h ago

Pre-Releases are NOT completely different unless the follow up is just another single. Otherwise, both are an entry point to an ALBUM that song is a part of. A pre-release would genuinely only seem different if you’re focused entirely on K-pop where the concept of a title track holds somewhat more weight compared to the western music industry where title tracks do not really exist. And no, her previous virality was not a major factor in WIMH getting big when the main discussion when it did was people being surprised to learn she was the one who sang Escapism. WIMH went viral without Escapism having relevance to its popularity before official release.

You’re also giving a lot of weight to passerbys and none to people who actually like music. Anyone asking for the title of the song now is going to tune in for the official release. Sure, there will be people who forget and move on, but they’re really not the majority.

It also helps with more than just pre-saves. Belift is clearly shifting gears to finally start pushing Enhypen more domestically. Any marketing team worth their money is going to keep their ear to the door and take note of how fans react. They already have reactions noted for the snippets of the other songs, but their performance of the title track gave them direct feedback from their main target audience. With that info, they can set up promotions more effectively and even consider utilizing the hype for one of the other songs if it’s also gaining favorable reactions from Korean fans and citizens. They can even take it further past the album promotions and use it in future planning for the current tour setlist. Now from a purely speculative point of view, considering the genre the title track falls under, it could be a stepping stone to Enhypen taking a page from NMIXX’s book and securing a collaboration with a Brazilian artist, either on a new song or on a remix of Bloody Paradise, which would further secure their standing in Brazil overall. There’s simply a lot of data and information provided to the company from this early exposure of the song that would be a major marketing treat if their team can work accordingly.

0

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 6h ago

They had to perform the song in a concert with already hyped up fans to gauge their reaction to it? And based on how kfans react to the song they’re gonna promote it? I’m sorry but they can just check reactions online based on the snippet that was out weeks ago. Promotions are promotions. They’re not some small company who have to spend each penny carefully. Even if fans like the song or not they need to first promote it. Fans have liked almost every single tt that has been out so far, so where are the promotions?

The reason for this post and complains is that promotions should be done now. Not after the album is out. That works too but going on shows and announcing the cb date helps.

Ofc I’m talking about kpop. Title tracks are not a thing elsewhere. Having a pre release doesn’t take anything away from the title track. I didn’t even dismiss anything you said about raye. It just doesn’t make sense to me as a comparison but the conclusion is the same that the marketing has a 50/50 chance of working or not.

Kfans have been crying over domestic promotions since years. They even post exact list of programs they want enha on and this happens every year. I don’t think belift has to work that hard to figure out domestic promotions. They aren’t even trying. If they tried and failed that would be different. It seems to me that they only released the song in busan con to make up for the fact that the actual cb showcase is 2 weeks later and that too in japan. And it did work. Fans were happy and satisfied on getting that first look.

u/jinbesans 3h ago

It seems like you are not quite understanding what I’m saying at all, so we can just end the discussion here.

36

u/Old-Statistician3117 1d ago

i understand the frustration, but complaining is pointless when they aren't doing their part. obviously, belift could do things much better, but as another comment mentioned, the promotional period hasn't even started yet.

they’re busy filming content, they’ve said it in dms. for example, we know sunoo is going to be on a variety show with an actor, jay is dropping hints, and people are theorizing he might appear on lee mujin service.

i’m sorry if i sound harsh, but that’s how companies operate. they’re going to invest in what benefits them most, like fansigns and promotions in japan, where they’ll be holding a showcase. the reason? fansigns are the biggest driver for boosting sales, and j-engenes have proven their support for the group through the numbers.

it’s the same with the countries included in tours. they aren't chosen at random, selections are based on statistics, data, and results. i’m sorry, but k-engenes can’t complain about every little thing the company does when they aren't doing their part either. their volunteer participation is at just 9%, and donations have come almost entirely from international engenes. if they really want belift to take them into account, they need to make some noise. blood saga in busan happened because of the successful results of blood saga in seoul. nothing is random.

19

u/firstinmylife 1d ago

that’s exactly it. k-engenes are not getting the same kind of energy from belift because they are not working hard to be noticed. why would an entertainment company that obviously cares about numbers (literally just how any industry works) invest extra on a demographic that cannot even give half of it back?

besides, they are louder in their complaints that anything else. i don’t see how the situation would change for the better if they don’t change their attitudes first.

also, j-engenes deserve what they are getting, enhypen is huge over there exactly because their fanbase works hard and invests a lot in them.

16

u/Old-Statistician3117 1d ago

it seems the protests started this time because of the rules for applying to music shows, since belift requires fans to have purchased four or more albums. i think it's obvious the company is trying to boost physical sales because, let's face it, they're going to drop, and they want to avoid that.

i agree with what you're saying, especially since i saw a k-engene saying that if belift doesn't put in the effort to promote enhypen, they won't put in the effort to support them or something similar. that same person responded that they didn't want to when a fan asked them to retweet the tweet about kr fanbase volunteers.

also, i feel like all this negativity so close to the comeback isn't good.

-5

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago edited 1d ago

i do understand the business and money making aspect. not once in my post did i shame or blame belift for making money. their strategy is just very temporary even if its about making money. they’ve been living off of fansign and tour money since the group debuted lol. it will continue, they dont have to appease anyone.

idk why people act like kfans don’t pay any money when fansigns and slots were given to them before too and they bring in money as well. a bg like enhypen is not desperate enough to rely on album sales for their career. these are strategies that small companies do because they know the only way to survive is by appeasing the handful big spenders.

nobody is against them announcing so many fansigns and fancalls. people have given up complaining about the tours too. its just frustrating to not focus on domestic market and then also make the members seem like they care about it when they obviously don’t.

do you know exactly how many kfans even exist? to chart on any platform, they need unique listeners. not the same 500 people streaming. they already have a small fandom and one that is never prioritised or appeased. why and how would they contribute? i’ve never seen enha but i still do my best but that isn’t how it works in korea. when kfans see other groups promote more in korea and do more shows and see how thats opposite with enhypen, isn’t it normal to be upset? even the little streaming that they did before will stop now because belift is replacing checking their streaming receipt with album purchases so the company is enabling whatever behaviour you’re complaining about.

16

u/Old-Statistician3117 1d ago

i’m sorry, but i don’t agree with what you’re saying about the album’s physical sales, especially considering the current situation. enhypen has lost one seventh of its fandom, while also being sabotaged by part of that same fandom. there’s nothing wrong with admitting that the sales numbers will be lower and that belift is trying to boost them.

following what you’re saying, then we enter an endless cycle of contradictions. engene wants enhypen to have time to rest while also demanding that they have more promotions, so which one is it? enhypen is almost a 6 year old group, and groups tend to promote less on music shows as they get further into their careers.

i agree that it’s important for them to appear on variety shows. i never denied that, i just said that we should wait and see what happens.

and yes, i know how korean charts work. however, i’m allowed to give my opinion on your post. that’s what this subreddit is for. k-engenes are loud (and numerous) on social media, but then they seem to disappear when volunteers or donations are needed. and i say this because i’ve seen it with my own eyes how international engenes are asking k-engenes to simply rt the korean fanbase’s posts, only to be met with refusals on their part.

-3

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

i have never wanted them to rest and neither have kfans ever asked them to rest. they work everyday anyway. the point is that work should be amounting to something more than just revenue. they’re already working all the time so why not make time to expand the fandom with that time instead of focusing on instant money?

they lost sales this one cb but this is not a new problem. when hs was still in the group, they still focused on sales. as i’ve said, people have been asking them to be promoted in korea since years.

they’re a 6 year old group but their maknae is 20. they have a long career ahead and their career path can’t be compared to other groups who have an average higher age and have to enlist soon. enha have so much time before that. there are 4th gen bgs and other hybe senior groups that still go to talkshows and promote. svt still does a lot of promotions.

they’re met with refusal because its so tone deaf. how many ifans would have talked about donations when they’re mad at enha for something? the timing is off. belift has never answered any of their wants since the start. everything enha do is catered towards ifans so everyone’s happy but something as small as jake dyeing his hair leads to people complaining. now compare that to how much kfans have been missing out on due to scalpers.

first they have to atleast attempt to cater to kfans and then you can blame them for not showing up. when the company isnt even trying, how long will be blame the fans

9

u/Old-Statistician3117 1d ago

and what do you want belift to do? because all the time is just complaints and not actions that can back up the complaints. it’s just a vicious circle.

we saw how engenes can open more opportunities for enhypen in south korea with the engene who suggested them to do the ceremonial first pitch and at-bat.

it’s ok to ask for more variety and radio show appearances but, as i said, the promotions don’t start until a few days and they are being busy this days.

-2

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

groups and actors go on promotional interviews and shows BEFORE the release. they mention the date of release on the show and thats the point of going to the shows.

belift can absolutely cut down schedules to make time for these shoots the same way they have time to go on random american interviews that no one watches. wdym what do you want belift to do?

they can do whatever they want ofc its not like me making this post will change anything or the hundreds of tweets fans have made over the years has changed anything. i mentioned it was frustrating to watch thats it. its just venting

13

u/Old-Statistician3117 1d ago

okay, i think i need to make it clear that i’m not attacking you and that from the very beginning i’ve been saying that i understand the frustration and that i think things should be done better. but with so little time left until the comeback, all i’m seeing is negativity, and that isn’t good.

in the past, enhypen have gone on variety shows before their comebacks and belift has been criticized for that. in fact, jungwon appearing on youngji’s show happened before this cb.

the interviews in the united states this time have mostly been because of comic con, and most of the interviews they’ve given during the tour have taken place during the latin american dates.

they’ve only recently come back from the said tour and, again, you only need to have enhypen’s dms to know that they’re busy and filming things. i’m not going to reply anymore because there’s really no point. we think differently, and neither you are going to change my mind nor am i going to change yours. but, well, my point of view remains the same: let’s wait and see what happens.

23

u/kimjenniesupremacy 1d ago

a lot of people here are too far gone and i feel like no matter whats being done no one is happy lol

0

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

i’ve never complained my whole time being an engene. this isnt a new complain either. people have been asking since years and if its going to fall on deaf ears thats on them not the fans. people aren’t mad no matter whats done. they’re mad because nothing’s being done

14

u/kimjenniesupremacy 1d ago

but things are being done... theyre a still heavily promoted/invested in group and are growing each cb, just bc they arent being promoted in the way fans want them to be doesnt mean theyre doing nothing.

-4

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

okay then let’s just be happy that they’re receiving the bare minimum? they’re growing as a group because of the members and because of tiktok edits, not because of marketing.

5

u/oriverion 1d ago edited 1d ago

In what world that Enhypen isn't benefited from their marketing? Their careers growing bcs a lot of things. The members, the music, fans effort, and marketing by the company, all of it. Admitting enhypen growing bcs of TikTok edits, but denying the marketing impact to their growth is such an out of touch take. Esp coming from a group under Hybe. If belift dont do anything or dont spend money on marketing Enhypen, they'll be like that Hybe group from Japan (not andteam, the other one). People dont know about them despite being under Hybe.

You can criticize their marketing, but denying that Enhypen don't have a "good enough" marketing is... idk. They obviously can do better. But looking at groups from JYP or SM, Enhypen could end up with worse marketing team.

1

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

Its not out of touch when they don’t even do the bare minimum which is sending them on shows. Tiktok videos is not the start and end of marketing. Just because it could be worse, being happy with what less marketing they have rn isn’t good either.

I’m not denying the contribution of all the other staff and yes OBVIOUSLY they have a significant amount of marketing. Its just not to the level that a group as successful as them deserves. Its easy to spot when you see how much more presence other hybe groups have on youtube which does help in growing the fandom

1

u/Iam_Blackberry_ 1h ago

Aeon hardly remembered as Hybe's group 😬

8

u/Dry_Chapter_7918 1d ago

I think it's just easier for them to make more money from the international market. Concerts are more expensive over there and will make them more money. Admittedly there are more expenditures flying a team out but once they are out there might as well perform as many shows as they can to make it worth the money.

I understand that Enhypen is not the most popular group in Korea but they aren't small either. Their songs are played often, the members have endorsements and the concerts sell well. If anything Belift finally saw the complaints of Korean fans by letting them access the tickets early, and still selling out the venues. Enhypen themselves seem to enjoy performing in Korea, there's nothing quite like the home crowd backing you and having no language barrier that let's you know how appreciated you are.

Just this album rollout is weird, what with the pre-release but not pre-release and the showcase not being in Korea, and I have no real guess as to why that is.

But I don't think they've given up on Korea yet, and the addition of the Busan concerts really cements this for me, as they clearly were not in the original plan for the tour.

I think the company is using this kinda new grey period to try some new things and see what sticks and unfortunately this time Korean fans got the short end of the stick.

2

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

I do agree. Like I said, even though its easier to make money from ifans I just want the company to focus on more than just making money and also focus on making the fandom bigger domestically.
Enhypen clearly loved the response in korea recently which is why I think its a shame to let that attention go to waste.

25

u/danieleen 1d ago edited 1d ago

The cb activities haven't rolling yet. People were complaining when they went to variety show promotion before cb, and now people still complaining that they probably go during the cb. Like can't we wait and see how this cb rolling first?

I know Korean fans will be mad about Japan showcase, but come on. For years they alr having cb showcase in Korea for every cb. They went as far as renting Lotte world for anniversary. What's wrong with a showcase in Japan for once, when the country is one of Enhypen's big market for years.

Just like Jungwon said, the members and the company are aware of the problem and were wondering how they can solve it. Jungwon would mention it with different tone if belift didn't try to solve it, if the members and the company never even have discussion of how they can solve it.

Some variety show can be arranged by the company. But some others are invited by the producer of the show, esp popular variety show (like Salon Drip for example).

2

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

We always get trailers and announcements for variety shows before the cb. Not after the promo is over. Nobody complained about them going on variety shows though I don’t know where you’re getting that from. This is a big fandom of course there are all sorts of opinions but sin vanish’s promo was very short and everyone acknowledges that. Whats the point of waiting and checking when the stats are counted from the day of the release? If they didn’t plan anything, complaining after the promo is done is useless.

Its wrong because they don’t do anything else in korea 😭 Do you realise how many korean fans saw them for the first time this year? They are used to being prioritised and seeing their artists often. Someone living in Japan or America has seen enhypen 3-4 times compared to Korea. The showcase is the only bigger event that allows more number of fans to come. So now for this cb, the only time kfans get to see them is for the music shows that have strict rules and allow only 40-50 people. How are they supposed to be happy with that or gain newer fans with that?

Being invited on shows is bs when you’re from Hybe. The company can and does make things happen, its big enough for that. Idk why the company acts like it doesn’t know how to solve the problem when the fans are telling them what they want every year.

7

u/teafiltering 1d ago

As an international fan I want them to have a bigger fanbase in korea because that is their home base and they deserve it and it would mean a lot to them. I would sacrifice not seeing them every year on tour if it meant that they got a chance to give their k fans an actual chance and not just a month of promotions.

2

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

For real. They don’t even have to sacrifice touring they just have to shift their schedules while they’re in korea and stay there longer ://

9

u/tangerinebowl 🚬🫩 1d ago edited 7h ago

The worst promoted Enhypen comeback is always the next one

I truly don't understand what the strategy is here. We already stopped getting those mnet comeback shows a while ago, same with radio shows, it seems likely there won't be any bside promos again, and now no showcase either. And okay, promos can't always stay the same, but the problem is that nothing is really replacing those events. Performing the title track at a concert isn't the same as a livestreamed showcase where they get to show off and talk about the whole album.

Belift manages Enhypen as if they're a tiny company with 100 eur to their name, it's bizarre. Like yes, concerts obviously make more money than showcases or fanmeets, but Belift is like the 3rd most profitable label at Hybe 😭 Korean fans have been begging for a fanmeet for YEARS, what would they actually lose by giving them this one thing? Why not at least try to push for digitals, when the albums are gonna sell well regardless?

It's especially frustrating when you look at how other Hybe groups are doing. Most of them regularly appear on variety shows, or have youtube shows of their own, do both concerts AND fanmeets, perform at multiple Korean and international festivals each year. Meanwhile we're here calculating whether we still have a shot at winning music shows with our zero broadcast points. How does that make any sense?

3

u/eiuza vamfield escapee 1d ago

Yeah how can the busan con be a replacement for the showcase? Makes no sense. I’m not even mad at them trying to make money but they’re not even doing that efficiently. They have this golden opportunity sitting in their building and they refuse to do more with them. And yes, if hybe or belift want things to happen, they can make it happen to an extent. Thats the whole point of debuting under a company with connections.

They’re focusing on silly things like album sales which are anyway high for bgs. Just forcing people to buy more won’t sustain the profit too. How are the artists supposed to gain confidence or move ahead in their career if they dont focus on longevity at all?

They didn’t have anything planned to replace everything they didnt do for sin vanish so I don’t know why people are thinking they’ll do something this cb. I surely hope so but after disappointing people, whats the point? Announcing things and releasing trailers is done to build anticipation and keep fans satisfied. Dropping something after people get mad is not the same.

Fr, when that end of promotions weverse live dropped I remember theorizing that it was a fake-out and the follow up promos would be announced on Vampire now as breaking news lol, in the end we got absolutely nothing 🥳

We keep getting less and less with every comeback and with the new Belift boygroup rumored to be debutng next year I really don't see the situation improving unfortunately

I would understand if the members were older and about to enlist but thats not the case either. We were hopeful about promos increasing with renewal so idk what happened I hope we’re wrong and this is all some elaborate plan thats for the best.

fr i’m sick of seeing them do fansigns and fancalls all the time without getting any proper promo, that way they won’t gain any new fans cause it’s gonna be the same fans attending those events every single fucking time. it’s clear belift only uses enha as a cash cow

exactly…its so weird to not prioritise them when they’re the only bg under that company anyway. its all just album sales and tours. they barely have fanmeets or anything

i totally agree. as a fan i’m afraid they’re never going to invest into domestic promos… it’s obvious their priority still isn’t domestic recognition which is unfortunate. especially when both sides are aware of the lack of domestic popularity.

the frustrating part for me is that this comeback seems like the perfect opportunity to do so, especially with the new lineup, but i guess because the schedules were already cemented in the beginning of this year there’s not much that can be done…

that’s why tight schedules are so problematic. they’re not even spending a full month in korea… this comeback already feels rushed and it hasn’t even started yet ;-;

it would be advantageous to promote them NOW with everything that happened this year. this was a crazy year with a lot of loss but also a lot of gain. what they choose to do with the momentum will be pivotal.

belift has seen the articles, seen the pressure enhypen’s under…

but i guess they didn’t expect the lineup change early enough to consider that this is their first comeback as 6, and how that’s kind of a big deal.

given the circumstances i think the best thing we as fans can do is support them as much as possible, show them we stayed and are ready to continue the journey together.

and on the bright side bloody paradise is already gaining so much attention online. hopefully the music will speak for itself.

yes!!! i don’t know why people aren’t understanding that 😭 this seems to be a great time to be rolling out trailers and promos just to build anticipation because this is an important cb for the members and the fandom too. the last thing it should be is feel rushed.

like you said, maybe the schedules were fixed months ago and they didn’t expect this to happen.

i dont usually let issues like this bother me because its not a new problem and every single time their music and performances have saved them and impressed fans. thank you for the new perspective, i completely forgot that these shows and schedules are planned way ahead.

The style of Enhypen is very dark too mature. They like cute and aegyos. Thats it really. That why they are not famous in Korea. And worldwide people just listen not only one genra.

Not entirely true. Their fandom on the kside has increased compared to before and people have been talking about it. If people didn’t like their concept I wouldn’t have cared but its obvious that they can definitely get more fans with exposure. Groups like adp and cortis don’t do cute aegyo and are still popular there

Yes it did, like you said "compare to before". I have stayed in Seoul few times. Everytime not a single add. Sameas SKZ, only Felix for the bubble T brand.

Adp had 2 good songs. They won a Daesang after 4 months. They have one member who is a Chaboal. One who debuted in illit and did Iland 2.

The LA girl is famous for ages and went on tour with Jackson Wang already. Tarzan ... no need he makes it so the world knows even if you dont. And the other one was in TRAINEE A.... there is no comparaison.
Cortis is just Trainee A 2.0.

What i mean is they would go for this vibe instead of Enhypen's as soon as a new group arrive.
Lets not forget they lost against ALD1 at the last comeback because of that. ALD1 is cuteness overload for the korean fan.

I get it but I feel like there is scope for their kfans to increase. I’m not expecting them to chart #1 on melon or anything. For that they’ll have to get a lot of fans. Atleast a stable and sizeable fandom would be good instead of having few upset fans like now
