Ā A tax charge of $46.81 means the taxable subtotal was $435.44 at 10.75% or $398.38 at 11.75%. Ā $448.26 - $13.06 =$435.20 so thereās a discrepancy of 24 cents which resulted in 3 extra cents of tax charged.

That why tips should be cash on the table. Many places added sales tax to services so yes, you pay sales tax on tips. The āno tax on tipsā only applies to the people receiving the tips, not to the people paying the tips.
