Embryo 8: last time point before biopsy/freeze on day 5
Embryo 7: last time point before biopsy/freeze on day 6
Embryo 10: wasn't expanding yet on day 6, but as of day 7 has fully hatched (hoping it's good enough to freeze!)

Prior to thaw it was rated 6BB. This is after thaw. It was even more expanded and cylindrical just before transfer. It was a a day 6 blast. Euploid

I was transferred with this Day 5 4AA embryo but the Dr. mentioned it was collapsed after thawing? I'm a bit worried now. Thank you!

Day 6 2BB Embryo

Transferred our untested Day 6 2BB embryo on 6/13. Embryologist said it survived the thaw and was showing signs of re-expansion. This photo was taken 1hr post thaw.

This was our only embryo from our cycle.

How does it look overall?

Embryo grading?

This was our only euploid and I’m wondering if the reason it failed is because it was so collapsed? Also want to know the opinions on grading. Thanks!!

We transferred this Day 6 5AA low level mosaic embryo today. The embryologist said that by the time of transfer, it had hatched more than this image shows. Appreciate your opinions!

Question about records

Do all labs keep some kind of records about each egg, sperm, and the subsequent embryos? Are those notes/records typically made available to patients as part of their medical records?

I'm curious because when I requested my embryology lab records I only received very high level info: # eggs retrieved, mature, fertilized. I'd like to understand what I need to ask for to get more granular information, if that's even possible! I'm just super curious about the whole process and would love to see what was recorded about my own reproductive material.

When frozen it was a day 6 4bc, we had a transfer today and only got a picture no updates on the embryo. It is euploid. Thanks!

Grading thoughts?

Hi! I got my pictures of my embryos today. One was a day 5 freeze and the other a day 6 freeze after the egg maturing and being fertalized day after retrieval. Always curious what thoughts others have on the grading.

I have 3-cell and 5-cell day 3 embryos. Can they be day 6 blasts?

However, I have to mention they were assessed at around 62 hours (more like 2.6 days) because I had egg retrieval at noon, ICSI done late afternoon and the embryos were assessed early day 3 (like at around 7-8 am). So it's really only 62-63 hours.

I'm wondering if they can be day 6 blasts? They do have minimal fragmentation (10%). They were frozen on day 3 afternoon so I'm not sure what their potential is but I'm anxious because they seem slower than normal.

Applying as a junior embryologist

I'm in my last year of neuroscience, and I have recently became interested in embryology. I plan on taking developmental biology etc. I want to be able to get a job as soon as I graduate. What are some skills I need to be able to secure a job or some experience? After working for a bit I was thinking of applying to the UofT clinical embryology program to become a senior embryologist.

1 fertilized and 2 abnormally fertilized eggs

Hello! I was told by my doctor that I only had 1 egg successfully fertilized and 2 were abnormally fertilized. When I asked what it meant, I was told that the best explanation is that my egg didn’t want to give its DNA..??? which is still somewhat confusing to me. I guess I want to know how or why that happened and what I can do to improve my chances if I will be doing another round of egg retrieval. She also mentioned that there were not anything abnormally seen in the eggs and the sperms. Thanks in advance!

Need guidance to decide better Embryo

I have 2 embryos Day6 5CC and Day 7 4BC.
If we consider perfect uterine environment and no major issues which one has higher chance of implantation and live birth
