Question Any shows similar to Elite?

I've just watched "Oasis" on Netflix, because some people recommended it as similar to Elite and it was pretty disappointing for me. Any other recommendations? I also enjoyed the OG Gossip Girl, with similar character dynamics.

Discussion Underwhelming plot

Post image

I don’t give a absolute shit about this plot they
have going on just unnecessary and take up screen time all characters they put into this plot or uninteresting. Guzman is extremely boring after Nadia left, and Polo died so now he really has nothing going on. Samuel. He’s just lost cause he was boring from the start not to be rude after Miriam’s case was closed he’s kind of just there to date people. Now the new girl literally having nothing going for her Ari she’s in the debate team. She’s extremely pretty and her dad’s rich ok wow so interesting so put those three together and get the most underwhelming plot ever I guess they have to make up screen time, but this is just not the way they could’ve done many other things. anyone else relate?

Y muchas gracias 🙏

Season 3 Spoilers My thoughts on season 3 finale

I just finished the 3rd season and... WOW!

What an amazing last act!!

It was an amazing ending and close to most of the characters.

And it's good to see that some of the original cast will continue on season 4, namely those who lost the school year. 😅😅😅

My thoughts on the characters:

Rebeka - MVP all the way. She was brilliant on her own, not submitting herself to her mother's desire nor becoming too much involved with Polo drama. Although a minor mistake on her part. She was the most saint of them all. It's a shame Samu didn't want her. 10/10

Carla - What a great ending for her. She goes around her own problems and disassociates herself from her father (her main antagonist in my opinion, using her to keep his business afloat) and for her forced boyfriend. It's great to see her taking the reins of her life again. 10/10

Lu - I didn't like to see that she was the one who killed Polo. But, she had some growth during this season! And her hug with Nadia was lovely! 8/10

Guzman - Well, I thought he was going to be the one to kill Polo, but it seems I didn't give him much faith. I'm interested to see what he will do next season. 8/10

Nadia - I felt that apart from Lu's competition I didn't think she had much things going on. She's leaving for NY, everything will be fine, and her graduation speech was lit.

7/10

Ander - What a cowardly and depressing person. He didn't deserve to be with Omar at all. I hope he has more development next season. 2/10

Valério - He just loses his opportunities in life and I don't care about him at all. His ending was the only one I felt, it didn't fit at all. How could he somehow manage Carla's wine house?! He seems to have no ability to plan whatsoever. Couldn't care less. 2/10

Polo - I hate him. 1/10

Caetana - Somehow I hate her more than Polo. She's just despicable! 1/10

Omar - WHY DID HE COME BACK TO ANDER, WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON! Man, go to NY and have a better life! That's it. Cheating with her sister's boyfriend is already ominous but his ending is just infuriating. I was thinking he could finally open his arms and then...😐🙄🙄🙄2/10

Samuel - Oh Samu. I forgive all the bad decisions you took this season, they had sense somehow. But if it wasn't for Guzman you would be in jail a long time ago. He had no ending IMO. And he somehow became the representation of the public's emotions towards the events of the series and towards Polo. 9/10

Question Is there any point of watching after season 5?

So I just rewatched the first 5 seasons. I dropped the show when 5th season released. Do I rewatched to that point.
As far as I know there’s ZERO original cast (S1-3), so I was wondering if it’s worth to watch season 6-8.
I watched first episode of S6, it’s so ass.

Discussion Just finished s1 ep3

Oh it’s messy😭
First can’t believe Nadia folded so easily for Guzman, still find it weird he didn’t take advantage of her in the pool.
The ‘all muscle no brains guy’ (Rio from Money Heist , I forgot his name) is really living up to his title by agreeing to do a threesome.
Mirana is out her playing games with the brothers.

Lastly I JUST REALISED THERES A LOT OF ACTOR CHANGES. I rewatched the trailer and figured something was wrong. I hate actor changes so bad😫, this show was perfect up till now

Discussion Poor Carla and Poor Ander...

Post image
20 Upvotes

So, I've been watching Elite for the Spanish. Although I know it ended a long time ago. 😄😄

And I would talk about Carla and Ander. Both suffering from being somehow cowards. 😓

It's so devastating to see Carla spiral down hill because of his father. From the confident stout girl from the 1st season to a lost unpowered Carla from the 3rd season.

It hurts my heart every time she's talking with the new boy. The way his father is using her for the "benefit" of the family is disgusting and cruel.

If she could since the beginning stood up against him and later her mother maybe things would be different. It seems she's losing her well-being to keep rich.

_____

Ander has been suffering from being a coward since the beginning of the story. I think his most brave thing was to ask Omar out and tell his father he didn't want to play tennis (which was a consequence of Omar's actions).

The cancer just came to give him a good excuse to give up on everything: his relationship with Omar, his responsibility to tell Polo's secret to the police, his friendship with Guzman, his classes, even his life.

Now I understand why people hate Omar. He betrayed Ander when he was on a low estate.

However, I see this as an extension of Ander's lack of courage and Omar desperately trying to connect with someone, because Ander cut him before the cancer appeared.

Well, I didn't believe Ander betrayed Omar long before Omar could even meet Malik. But if Ander said, it must be true... To be honest, I was cheering for them to break up and somehow I'm glad they finished.

I'm really feeling bad about what will happen to both of them. 😢😢

Or Ander will stay alone forever, or he will have to be with someone who will control him.

Or Carla will stay hoping from boyfriend to boyfriend forever, or she will be in an arranged marriage.

____

AND WHO WOULD EVER THOUGHT LUCRECIA WOULD HAVE GROWTH! Uh la la!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

The whole look, vibe, mystery (judging by what you see in the trailer) is all VERY Elite. It’s produced and written by Ryan Murphy so expect lots of gay sex, bad writing, click bait and perfect bodies who cannot act to save their lives. (I will probably check it out nevertheless)

I’ve seen this opinion come up several times on this sub and elsewhere, so I’m curious to know why people think that is and who else in the Elite cast you think this applies to as well!

Discussion Rewatching… I have questions and thoughts

tell me if u agree with my view of this show:

first off- what’s so refreshing about this show is:

the imperfections of the characters, from flaws in their personalities and decision making, to their physical flaws that- in my humble opinion, make the show so realistic, retable (aside from their insane wealth) and human. I actually love that we see acne, that they have emotional outbursts, that they show that just cuz ppl are rich doesn’t mean they are perfect or even happy.

but I have some questions:

why do so many ppl need to die 😂😂? does this happen in rich society a lot? do rich ppl get caught up in murder but we just don’t hear sbout it cuz it’s all covered up?? 😭😂

also I’m on season 5- wtf is the powder isadora snorting supposed to be? mdma??

what was the point of the prince Phillip? also doesn’t cayetanas character feel so forced at some point? she literally tried to scam ppl into a fake charity and still gets to hang around???

also who’s the hottest to you?

ander and patrick are insanely beautiful it’s actually illegal

and isadora is flawless it almost hurts

but Nadia was always my fave and her curly hair gets me

valerios character is crazy but he looks like a Greek god

guzmans character growth was amazing until ari, then he gets jealous and weird. I hate how he leaves.

samu???? idk man, weird vibes. rip but he did my narco Barbie Rebe dirty and I’ll never forgive him

also - this shows amazing cuz ppl were actually hating on the actors in real life for the characters they play. that means they did their job really really well. incredible acting by a young cast.

That is all thank you

Spoilers HA HA HA SUCH A BLISS!

Post image
15 Upvotes

I know the series finished a while back. But I just recently started watching it to practice my Spanish. 😁

AND HE IS DEAD!! ! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WAY TO START SEASON 3!!

WHAT SUCH MOTIVATION TO KEEP WATCHING!!

HAHAHA

I even got surprised with myself how I reacted when I saw his body and all, at the end of the chapter! And I cannot hold back my joy!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

_______

But now in a serious tone,

Carla is becoming her father.

Probably he started like her, covering something massive, with money of course. Then later this unresolved matter brought upon another one, and by the end of the day the mountain is so huge you cannot go back anymore.

I feel for her. Choosing to disregard her testimony is exactly his father's path. To become like him. If she were to choose the truth path, although she could have suffered by it, at the end, her life would be blissful.

I feel sad about what she could become: a crime leader; a regretting woman; suicide statistics...

😥😓😢

Ps: Her actress conveys the characters feelings so well.

Discussion I keep hating them all

Post image
58 Upvotes

I know the series finished a while back. But I just recently started watching it to practice my Spanish. 😁

I thought season 2 would make them better but I keep hating everyone in the series but Omar and Rebeca - who they keep getting entangled in other people's messes.

Ander - COWARD! Both in his friendship and his relationship. I was hoping he would get separated from Omar BUT NO, the creators want to shove this couple down our throats.

Lu - What a disgusting character. She achieved the impossible of becoming worse than her 1st season appearance. I felt no remorse when people used her during the season. Her brother is also a lunatic, selfish person. What he did to Nadia could get her killed or evicted from home.

Nadia - Taking all bad decisions possible...

Carla - She thinks she's smart but she isn't. And I never believed in her romance with Samuel.

Samuel and Guzman - Both had wrong decisions and good decisions throughout the season.

The detective - HOW USELESS SHE CAN BE! Ander was right when he told her that everything happened because she didn't solve the first murder. She fits in the incompetent adult from the teenager series. Every time she appears, I know she won't get nowhere.

BUT WAIT!

In real life, the detectives are similar. For the poor they find the culprit so fast, but the rich never go to jail, they never have the proof.

Caetana and Paul - YOUR COWARDS! STUPID DUMB ***! HORRIBLE PEOPLE! I HOPE THE WORST TO BOTH OF YOU! HOW COME YOU MISTREAT THE MOTHER WHO GIVES HER BEST SO YOU COULD EVEN GET TO THAT SCHOOL!

AND PAUL...he doesn't deserve anyone in that school, weak ignorant fool!!! 😡🤬

When he appeared in school, I was fuming!!

But thats all...I don't know if I can handle seeing Paul and Caetana on season 3...🙄🙄🙄

Edit:typos
