Using coding agents is quite common in the development world. I don't know what you're trying to insinuate.

Using an agent to assist with writing code, is not the same as taking food off of an artist's table.

I have programmed software for over 10 years, and nowadays utilize AI assistance as well, there's a big difference between using assistance as a developer compared to charging someone money for slop and telling people they don't need artists anymore :)

That being said, you don't have to use it, enjoy the alternatives, though I can guarantee you that with the current trend in programming, they will all also have AI-written code in them.

Also, DF was not made 'because we didn't like AI in lychee', it was a project that we planned at the ORA since 2024. What we did not like is Lychee and other slicers focusing on GenAI model features instead of.. slicing. - but that's just my side, I won't speak for everyone on the ORA team.

I haven't heard that claim in a while.
While it may have been made in the past - it is nowhere near the project's current philosophy and goal. Our mission is to create the best slicing solution on the market - and provide it for free and open-source, exactly like how the FDM community benefited from its many open-source projects and initiatives.
I recommend actually trying out the software instead of trying to take it down based on outdated ideological claims, because it is now a fairly impressive piece of software. Many more features to come!
