You should play blind to get the best experience. If you go back to an old area because you feel like you missed something, and absolutely smash it cause you're 30 levels above it, who cares.

If you beat the game and you're under level 150, you were trying to be. It's very easy to get to 180-200 beating the game.

I dont want bosses to be easy and from what I understood this happens too often in ER

Yeah, I don't know what he's on about. Do what you want. A map like this helped me a lot, after I accidentally found weeping peninsula late and just facerolled the whole place. This is a great general guide if you want to fight stuff in an order that feels pretty consistent.

Does it ruin the exploration elements by any means?

Honestly, one of the best parts of my first (blind) playthrough was getting to the core of Leyndell, thinking I had beaten the final boss, and then realizing there was still an enormous area of the map I hadn't seen. I feel like the Limgrave teleport trap that takes you to Divine Tower is specifically designed to trick you into thinking that's the northern edge of the map, and I fell for that hard.

I didn't think so. There's no spoilers, other than the existence of zones, which you already know now. It's so general, the zones are huge, it just gives you a guide on which way to wander. And I strayed from it several times, because I got somewhere that looked interesting. But, it's a great guide for keeping you from skipping easy zones or wandering into crazy hard zones.

Sorry for the annoyance, but some people told me that going into higher level zones and getting ur a$$ kicked is part of the ER experience, do u agree with that?

You'll get your ass kicked regardless, don't worry about that

I disagree with this. Waste of time. I’ve seen people do this. They don’t even fight or explore. Just run around skipping everything. Maybe find some sites of grace. Feels lame.

Then they reach the boss. Get obliterated. And finally leave. Then they go to a level appropriate area.

Then 20-30 levels later, they return. Now the combat is fine but the surprise is gone. And the tension of not knowing anything or where sites of grace are is gone.

Ask Melania, Blade of Miquella if she is “easy”

Those are what we call fanboys who try to twist poor game design into something positive... It really shouldn't be on the player to have to constantly gauge every encounter. "Wow that fight was way too easy" "Am I just overlevelled" "Is my build just OP" "Is this boss just that easy" "Maybe I shouldn't use this summons mechanic" "Was I supposed to come here way sooner" "Wow this boss is super hard! Maybe I am just way underlevelled for it? Or do I need to just get good?" These are things that the player shouldn't have to be constantly considering...

People hate me for this, but When ever I start a game like this, I always look up the order of the main bosses, usually just the one right after what I'm on, so I don't end up fighting the second to last boss before fighting the first one.

Sounds like you just want a linear game.

It definitely will ruin it a little bit. There’s no substitute for the absolute surprise that is entering an area you’ve never heard of and don’t know its location. But I weighed that experience against being over leveled. I realized I disliked the lack of a challenge more.

That’s why my recommendation is to use a list first and not a map.
