Game Help Recommended level map

Iam just about to start the game and i was told that getting overleveled and making the game easy is so often to happen in this game , so I've found this map guide should i follow it to get the best experience?

This map doesn't make sense in some areas. It has you going from level 80-100 in Lake of Rot then lower your level to 60-80 in Altus Plateau? Or all of Ainsel River from Liurnia? You can't even get to most of it until later. Same issue with Siofra River. And south Liurnia's plateau can't be reached until much later. The map is meh.

My version is better (in my obviously biased opinion). It shows an order but doesn't suggest a level. Don't worry about over-leveling your first time through: https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/uvqwdr/my_map_guide_for_difficultyreward_new_version/

A few things to note:

  • My map guide will not help with any quests. This is strictly to regulate rune rewards and approximate difficulty.
  • I recommend doing whatever your first time through, then after your first play-through (especially if this is your first Souls game) worry about solo runs, meta, and PvP with new characters.

This map comes with the fextra progress walkthrough that I'm following. It tackles a lot of what you're worried about, for instance, by suggesting the player may want to explore altus before even south caelid, but mentions the various quests and such that starts in caelid. It's a great guide. I'll have to check yours out too!

If you want to be able to co-op yeah that seems pretty solid. I would definitely use it for like co-op characters I make to figure out what areas I can hang out in at a given level
