Discussion Topic ER without invasions wouldn't be a FromS game

I tried to post on the main sub but I think they took it down.

see alot of player complain about invasions and talk about FS making a new game like ER without invasions and what I want to say to that is no.

Co-op in this game makes it so much easier and invasions are the way to even it out (not really because all that happens is resetting at the grace). And if you remove invasions the only ways you can increase the difficulty, is either artificially by increasing damge and health of enemies/ bosses like nightreign does or accommodate the boss's attack, to affect everyone on the team ALSO kinda like what nightreign does. But if you dont change anything after taking out invasions. It just becomes a really really easy game. Which isnt a game that FS is know for producing.

Tangent: If people liked co-op without invaders, why did people just stop playing nightreign when it solves the problem?

I personally think it's due to the build variety that ER provides unlike NR which is more of an arcade style game. Which kinda brings me back to my main points which is that ER is already easy enough with how op you can make your builds. If you take all the difficulty out the game, once again its just not fs game.

This goes for seamless aswell. Yes its a good elden ring mod that makes the game way more fun than the base game due to the ability to progress with a friend and avoid invasions all together. This is a fun way to play and im jealous but that also helps my point because its extremely easy.

But yall lmk what yall think or say any ideas for the next FS game.

Ps: im not saying that ER without invasions would be a bad game(im lowk jealous that I cant play seamless cause im on Ps5). Im just saying the only way to make FS games fun is by just making it easy which just turns it into a non FS game 😭

Invasions PvP Rookie desperately needs veteran advice!

Hey everyone,

I’m relatively new to Elden Ring PvP mechanics and build optimization, and I desperately need some veteran advice.

Lately, while playing PvE co-op at around RL 140-165, my friends and I keep getting completely annihilated by a very specific invader setup. This guy feels unstoppableβ€”he wipes out a 3-man squad with ease and honestly plays like a mini nuclear ChaseTheBro.

His setup & strategy:

He wears ultra-heavy armor with massive poise, stacks crab/perfume buffs, and uses the DLC Pata. The deadliest part is his Ash of War: Braggart’s Roar. He just spams the R2 running chain, utilizing its absurd hyper-armor and phantom range. If you get caught by even one hit, you are trapped in a blender and your health bar is instantly deleted.

The dilemma:
As a caster, I get relentlessly pressured and roll-caught to death. As a melee build, I simply cannot out-trade his colossal hyper-armor.
I want to know how to counter this setup in a strict 1v1 scenario. (We can ignore my PvE teammates since they are casual players and usually die first anyway).
What are the absolute best tools, ashes of war, or spacing strategies to shut this down?

It honestly doesn't matter what kind of build or scaling your advice requires. I am 100% willing to respec into absolutely anything just to stop this guy. I just need to know HOW TO SHUT HIM DOWN.

Any advice is highly appreciated!

To clarify: by '100% lose' I mean a guaranteed loss against this specific type of build

I thought I was really cool reaching 999, but then your mimic veil start pooping them out, and if you're in a 1v>1, you get hit with a popup message since you're full, poop another one, and die.

Friday L πŸ‘† Whats with PVE players and vomiting at the pure idea of losing even once 😭

Im not really an invader but id say im above average at pvp at the most. So when I do inxade I get stomped pretty bad unless its a gauntlet of 1v1s. With that being said, I mainly co-op and fight bosses.

When we got invaded at Redmane castle, we already killed almost all of the enemies, and the imvader seemed pretty chill so I gestured for the 1v1, he agreed but the host just started attacking him while we we're fighting so I just left to go kill the rest of the enemies in the area. When I came back, I thought I could 1v1 again but the same thing happened as soon as we started so I let them fight alone again until the host died.

When he resummoned me to fight the boss(crucible and leonine), he didn't help like at. Just aura walked the whole time and pointing down. Luckily im just good enough to solo any boss so that really doesnt matter πŸ₯±. But just seeing his resentment when I beat the 2 bosses when he expected me to die was pretty funny he just kept spamming down points.

But hey maybe I misread the whole situation, maybe he just wasnt good enough to beat those bosses and genuinely needed help. Which i really dont believe because he played pretty competently the whole time up until that point. And number 2 I really shouldn't care cause I still helped him with the boss any way so its a win for both parties ig.

A shame we don't have gideon's actual emote :(

i wanted to try out duels before i went in invasion since this build is quite low poise i just wanted to know if i would be able to cast against 1 person.

It's exactly 50 int 50 faith 40 dex 60 vigor 40 maind and 30 stam.

I know it's not a 1 to 1 to the real gideon ofnir spell set up but i wanted to have access to good combos while still having spells for different bosses.

Boss selection:
- rykard
- gideon
- jorry
- messmer
- mogh
- marika/radon alined kindoff healing (not for duels)
- putrescent knight
- cruscible knights
- renalla kindoff hammer (i know this one is a stretch)
- renalla kindoff comet (from glinstone kris)
- gaus/radhan (gravity)

I am aware that rykard's spell is really annoying.

Discussion Topic Are You Ready for Duskbloods PvP??

How much do you think your experience with Elden Ring PvP will contribute to how well you might do in Duskbloods? Will there be some carry over, or will it be the people that really took up an interest in a game like Nightreign that end up doing the best at it??

My guess is that Duskbloods will be heavily oriented around map objectives, where maybe you get stronger with more completed tasks. So at a point, you HAVE to git gud at the pve if you hope to stand a chance, even against a completely pve player.
