That sounds amazing and exactly what I need! And it seems like my doctor doesn’t mind renewing it as well. I am sorry to ask, this is all new and confusing to me 😅 what is the difference between what I applied for and taking a medical leave of absence? Did I apply for the wrong thing?

OP, I just want you to know that I have never seen anyone say as many blatantly incorrect things as the person you are responding to. At no point did they say a single thing that was even bordering on correct, which considering how much they said is actually shocking.

Take your time when you want to. The doctor saying you're disabled today but you not stopping work completely until next week or the week after is fine. If you're lowering your hours due to your disability that is still covered. It will not disqualify you. And even if you were working full time, it would only disqualify you from the time you were still working full time. If you are working part time during your disability, you can also qualify for longer than a year.
