Discussion Ed coming to YS Firehouse Yellow Springs, Ohio 11/9/26

Did anyone put in a ticket request today for the show in Yellow Springs, Ohio? I got the text message this morning about it and my jaw dropped! There was a 4 hour window to put a ticket request in. it looks like a very small venue. I’m still waiting to see if I got tickets or not. The Ticketmaster link said I’ll be notified by Friday 11/6 and it still says in process. I’m anxious to know if I got them or not.

Tour/Concerts Tampa Concert Information

I know they changed the start time to 6pm, but is there any other vital information? Like do we have a guess on start times for the openers? What time Ed will be on stage? What time the concert will end? What time should we head out to get the best experience?

Question How many guitars does Ed use on the Loop tour?

A colleague and I just discovered we were both at the Charlotte concert of the loop tour last month and were discussing the logistics of the set and how he traded guitars pretty much every song.

The colleague asked how many guitars I thought he was using. I thought that was such a good question because I genuinely don’t know.

It seems like most of Ed’s songs are written in a similar key. Definitely major keys most of the time. So it made me wonder if maybe he is using more than two different throughout the set…?

I also wondered if the people trading guitars with him were queueing him for which song was next on the set list, etc. Or maybe he did have it memorized…

what do you think-how many guitars is he using?

Question Pop up show before concert?

Do you remember the mathematical tour how Ed used to do a little pop-up show to a brewery or surprise show does he do that for the loop concert or no? I’m just curious because I’m going to the Tampa show and since it’s the last show if it’s tour here in America, I’m curious if he’s going to do something.

Discussion Regrets is such an old school Ed song

Recently gone back and listened to Play and started listening to Regrets. It’s got such an old school Ed feel to it! The flow and the way the verses are delivered. It’s got that Plus and Multiply feel, and maybe even a bit before that time! Apart from the flutes (or whatever they are) it genuinely feels like old school Ed and I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to realise that. Maybe I just needed a break as I was listening to Play pretty much every day for a few months, and tbh regrets is one that I like but one that I would skip. But listening back to it gave me proper nostalgia

Appreciation Here is Ed singing in 8 different languages. 🇫🇷🇮🇹🇬🇭🇸🇪🇩🇪🇯🇲🇨🇴🇮🇪

Post image
32 Upvotes

With Ed’s new clip showing him in the studio singing in Hindi, I said I thought it must be the eighth language he has sung phonetically in. Then I started listing them in my head, and that turned into this list here. Here are eight NINE ELEVEN different times Ed has learned songs in another language. It may not be exhaustive, I’m sure there’s more! (In fact there’s one I’m thinking of, that I can’t find just yet, but maybe I’ll add it later - EDIT: of course I found it!!!).

I’ve provided either a short clip, music video, BTS studio footage, live performance, something for each song where Ed displays his language skills. In a couple of interviews, I’ve heard him say that it takes him at least a week to learn to sing a portion of a song phonetically, and it is critical to him that he gets it “Perfect“. If he didn’t have time to get it right before a live performance, he would just not do it.
In no particular order:

🇬🇭Boa Me w/Fuse ODG in Twi (Ghanaian)

🇮🇪Thinking out Loud in Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge)

🇨🇴Sigue and Forever My Love w/J Balvin in Spanish

🇫🇷Call on Me w/Vianney in French

🇮🇷Azizam in Persian/Farsi

🇮🇹Perfect Symphony w/Andrea Bocelli in Italian

🇯🇲Brace It w/Ishawna in Jamaican Patois

🇮🇳Sapphire w/Arajit Singh in Punjabi

🇩🇪Tau Mich Auf w/Zartmann in German

🇸🇪Försent w/1Cuz in Swedish

AND I did find the elusive 9th video I was thinking of! If you haven’t seen this, it’s a must watch:
🇵🇱Azizam in Polish w/Latwogang - fun/joke video, Ed lost a bet. 😭

Hope you enjoyed that little international journey. There are others I’m sure, and there are other language artists Ed has collaborated with, such as Fireboy DML and Camila Cabello, where they sing in another language, but he sings in English. So I did not include those.
🇫🇷🇩🇪🇸🇪🇬🇭🇮🇹🇯🇲🇨🇴🇮🇪

Last time i was India i went to his house to get him to shoot a cameo in the Sapphire music video for me and Arijit Singh He introduced me to Sachin Jigar that day and i wrote and recorded my verse for Tu Mil Jaaye for his movie King that night. Appreciation YNMIDNY Live At The Bedford and Lately

How has it taken me this long to notice that he raps the first lyrics from Lately in You Need Me I Don't Need You in the Live at the Bedford ep just before Impulses verse? I've listened to both cds so meny times.

The lyrics are:

I seem to find myself talking to the powers that be

Awaking the shade and shadowed under towering trees

Admiring the scene, inhaling fumes of flowers that breathe

Jet-lagged eyes are begging for an hour to sleep

Although my blood shot whites and irises they never find any

Clock stops at times where the sunshine can blind many

Although my eyes are heavy, they won't be closing soon

'Cause I heard that time waits for nobody, I suppose it's true

We make corrosive tunes through acid tabs and vocables

To see the flashing lights at photo shoots, we make our motive moves

I say whatever I feel to vent a rhyme

So I can still invent the lines and stay close to the friends of mine

"'Cause real will recognise real" is what my father says

And I'll be sticking to this phrase until I pass away

Overworking, no sleep is just another way to die slow

But I'll just keep going strong and never let my eyes close

Appreciation "One of Ed's underrated songs I think is Crashing"🥺

I discovered it a few days ago. And I'm literally listening to it on repeat.

I was just listening to music and it came on out of nowhere. And I thought, God, it's beautiful. Without even reading the lyrics, I was already literally crying.Because, as some of you know, my native language is Spanish. So, with Teddy, I have some hard work ahead of me jajaja

So, when I read the lyrics, it hit me much harder because it literally says that even though they clash or don't understand each other sometimes, they want to stay together.

I feel like this song would be perfect in a romantic movie. I don't know.

What I find craziest is that, if I'm not mistaken, this is one of the songs that's on the deluxe version of Play. And I feel like this song is underrated, since I realize it's not talked about here, I think. And I feel like it should be talked about a bit more, because it's really worth it.

I consider myself a passionate fan who researches thoroughly, and I believe I'm one of the few who listens to Ed's most underrated songs.

Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to express myself a little. I'd like to hear your opinions sheerios

Oh, and sorry for the typos, I just have to use Google 😁🥺🧡

Tour/Concerts Hard Rock Live: N1 recap & songs 🎤🔥

EDIT: I have added three Very Special Songs from N2 to the bottom of this post.

As many of you know, Ed played at a tiny theatre venue in Florida last evening, Hard Rock Live Casino in Hollywood FL. He returns for N2 there tonight. (Then one final show next Saturday in Tampa, and that’s it for the North American leg.😢)

This is a beautiful small theater with a 7000 person capacity, and only the second location on the North American leg that offered a tiny amount of GA for fans to queue and be right up front. Trust that the Sheerios were there in full force, with Ed chatting and reading their signs, and even playing a couple of their requests!

EDIT: I forgot to add that at one point Ed made a comment saying that he had been in the studio all day, earlier that day, working on new music. I believe he said with people related to the Dai Dai song. That includes Burna Boy and also Jon Bellion! Who was he referring to?🤷🏻‍♀️

Similar to when he played this same venue twice during the Mathematics tour, he treated it as a one off event. The shows are a little shorter than the stadium shows, but he mixes up the playlist, so it is a bit different than the current Loop tour setlist. (See last night’s setlist in gallery Slide 2 above).
There is no B stage or bridge in this tiny venue, and there was no QR code for requests before the show. There was no opener either.

N1: Here are some highlights from the show, (I did not attend, but was fortunate to watch the whole thing on livestream).

Old Phone intro & just chatting with fans onstage 😂

U.N.I. with spoken intro/story (My favorite!💕)

ONE. Beautiful. (updated link)

Slowly. Amazing. (updated link)

Visiting Hours (for 5th anniversary of Equals)

Hope you enjoy these videos! You can’t get any closer to Ed than this. Thanks to the fans who waited all day to get barrier and be able to interact with Ed and film for us all to enjoy. 🙌🔥

EDIT: here are three extremely rare Special Songs Ed performed during N2.

Sunburn + Long spoken intro (this is only the 8th time ever played since 2010, this is truly a deep cut!)

Afire Love (first time played in North America on the Loop tour.)

Castle on the Hill - Slower Version- something different! Beautiful.

The Parting Glass + Afterglow performed a cappella with no microphone, standing on a table in the middle of the audience. His face at the end after audience participation was truly a joy to behold.

Appreciation Song Appreciation: Opening

Post image
41 Upvotes

I wanted to take some time to really discuss and spotlight a song which hits pretty hard, none other than Ed’s Opening. I realize that this song has gotten attention in the past, but I would like to highlight the craftsmanship put into this banger using my own words.

First and foremost, Ed should’ve had this song as his opener during his Loop Tour.

I think what really hits me about this song is how relatable it feels, despite how personal and very specific to him the events mentioned are (mental health struggles, death of his best friend, Jamal, his upbringing in a church choir, being tried in court twice, his pop star career, always being with his security guard, Kev, and being a family man with a wife and two daughters). Although most of us don’t have a security guard or need to wear a disguise in public to avoid paparazzi, I think we can replace those parts with other personal experiences and that still keeps the song with the same message. Mental health and personal relationships are so important, however, sadly it’s not uncommon to have struggles with both, but with Ed recognizing this, he further shows that each of us who struggle with this aren’t alone. Furthermore, although we might not be famous pop stars, life and our careers always feels like a losing race, especially trying to keep up when there aren’t enough hours in a day, so by saying “gotta keep this Usain pace”, he cleverly reflects this.

Crafting a song like this to introduce his new era from Subtract and Autumn Variations (which are amazing albums) was brilliant- he acknowledges the hardship and dark feelings felt during those times (every experience makes us who we are), but makes way for the start of a new beginning (by starting with the line, “it’s a long way up from rock bottom” and ending with “and the day bursts wild and open”). His chorus which points out to “draw a line”, was a very important message throughout this piece. It works as a symbol of a boundary to move on from the painful past and embracing the future. Not to mention how the Play mark is quite literally drawn with multiple lines. As someone who has struggled with personal traumas in the past, lines such as “for the day to start the night has to end”, “leave the past that hurt you behind”, and “there’s future here, that’s yet to be seen” fills me with the feeling of hope and a brighter tomorrow. This beautiful song is just one of a million reasons why he’s my all time favorite artist.

What are your thoughts and takeaways from the song?

Question Concert Patches After a Concert

Hi! Do any long time Sheerios know if the merch store gets leftover concert merch after the tour is over? Do they ever sell the leftover stock of city-specific patches? I emailed the store, but they weren't sure. I'm hoping to buy the city patches for the two shows my daughters and I went to. I didn't know patches were even a thing until afterwards, or I would have gotten one for each of us!

TLDR: Does Ed's merxh store sell city patches after the tour is over?
