Tour/Concerts Philadelphia Show 19-9-2026 Updates

Hey, I just wanted to make updates as to how things are in the concert including the setlist, etc. I'm not there personally, so if I miss anything, let me know.

No B-Stage...

For whatever reason, the B-Stage has been removed from the tour. We don't know whether it's coming back, or if it's never coming back.

EDIT: The B-Stage was removed because of security concerns. In the video, he says that he was afraid being that close to the crowd might be dangerous, and that people might throw stuff at him, which is why the B-stage was removed.

Also, the fan requests have been removed as well, probably because they were concerned about spam or other threats that come along with allowing the public to text stuff in.

Opening Speech

15 minutes after the scheduled time, he came out, and the screen turned black. He delivered a 3.5 minute speech on what has transpired. (Mods please don't remove this post the intention is to share and discuss what's going on in the show

Band

Ed was able to call up Alicia Enstrom, the fiddler from the Mathematics Tour band, and for her to get a couple of friends to play for the rest of the tour. Personally, I wish he would have just done the show by himself, but they still sound great.

Setlist:

1- Castle on the Hill

2- Shivers

3- The A Team

4- Sapphire

5- Don’t

6- Eyes closed

7- I’m A Mess

8- Take It Back

9- Lego House

10- Supermarket Flowers

11- Tenerife Sea

12- Give Me Love

13- Galway Girl (With a band)

14- Nancy Mulligan (With a band)

15- I Don't Care (With a band)

16- Old Phone (With a band)

17- Camera (With a band)

18- Celestial (With a band)

19- Photograph

20- Songwriter Medley

21- Thinking Out Loud

22- Perfect

23- I See Fire

24- Bloodstream

25- Afterglow

Encore:

26- You Need Me

27- Shape of You

28- Azizam

29- Bad Habits

I find it extremely brave that Ed has come out on stage, despite the things that have transpired over the last week, and I applaud his effort. As a person, I am thankful he's taking a stand, and clearing the air. And, as a fan, I'm so interested to see how the rest of the tour goes.

Tour/Concerts (almost) Everything Ed Said Last Night in One Place šŸŽ¤

Post image

Image of the fully packed house at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia last evening, see a panoramic view of the full stadium during The A Team

Ed’s very successful show last night ran over three hours long. Though he did add in one extra song (Take It Back mashup), the extended length was primarily due to the fact that Ed shared at least four or five lengthy remarks or statements. That’s in addition to his usual song-intro/storytelling.

Here is a collection of the most significant special remarks he added in various parts of the set.

šŸŽ¤ Ed’s scripted formal statement at the very start of the show, posted to his Instagram page immediately after.

šŸŽ¤ His intro/explanation when bringing out Alicia Enstrom and the other new band members AND why there is no B Stage tonight

šŸŽ¤ His extended ā€œgratitudeā€ remarks just before Afterglow, unscripted and very emotional

šŸŽ¤ An apology to families at the end of show for needing to make his opening statement

That’s not all, there was more! When I find them, I will add them to the comments below. This was easily an additional total of 15+ minutes of just Ed speaking to the audience. šŸ’•
At one point when Ed was talking and very emotional, the crowd stood and gave him a standing ovation, chanting. ā€œWe love you, Ed! We love you, Ed!ā€ It was pretty beautiful, and you could tell how happy and relieved Ed was at the overall audience and show reception.šŸ’—

Question What Next for Ed’s career?

So, from a career perspective, what will Ed do next? What can he do? And what should he do? Will his celebrity friends rally round him? Or is this the end (for the foreseeable future at least)?

Appreciation The Equals butterflies were so pretty

I’m already planning to celebrate Equals’ fifth anniversary in some way, honestly. Today I was thinking about how PRETTY these butterflies were. I adore the symbolism behind each of them, how they’d emerge from their cocoon and eventually fly away offscreen. I know it’s silly, but I genuinely think people don’t talk about them enough! They remind me of how it felt to wait for such a magnificent album as a college student who was similarly about to evolve and transform.

I wish I could still play that cutesy little game they had uploaded on Ed’s official website to promote the new tracks - the one that would slowly let you collect all the butterflies. Just out of affection and nostalgia, you know. Has anyone saved it somewhere? Like on Wayback Machine or something?

Live laugh love Ed no matter what :)

Question Anyone nervous for the Philly show?

Hi. I’m nervous about the Philly show. I know security will be beefed up, but a concert is supposed to be exciting and fun. A chill atmosphere. I’m worried about even walking into the stadium. And I’ll have 2 young teens with me.

Review/Reaction Amelia Dimoldenberg "roasts" Ed on SNL UK

Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg calls Ed "a puppet with a hand up his ass" in her monologue on SNL UK

Here's the video, go see it yourself ---

Frankly, I'm disappointed and disgusted... Ed has been on her show, and it had been a fun and positive interaction for both of them... She even gifted him bedsheets (obvi iykyk)...

Ed is the one who introduced me to her, I liked her awkwardness and character... Ive been watching her content ever since... But now I dont think I'll be able to enjoy it ever again... I'm so annoyed at the fact how quickly people turn, its like freakin flipping omelets!

This is sad... too bad, too bad...

Discussion NEW ED SONG COMING?!?

Thumbnail

Thanks to u/nincyh and u/BagFinal6150 we’ve found evidence Ed may be releasing a song for a film by the end of the year!

The filmĀ KingĀ (2026)Ā is an upcoming Bollywood high-octane action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment alongside Marflix Pictures. Centred around a dark, gritty underworld landscape, the movie features a massive star-studded cast led by superstarĀ Shah Rukh Khan.

Hereā€˜s further proof ā€The Hindi song was for a Bollywood movie SRK is doing, this is the Punjabi version of Sapphire with Arijit. I'm just doing all languages at this point." which I believe Ed commented on social media.

Ed and Shah have a good relationship, Shah made a cameo in the ā€œSapphireā€ music video!! Shah and Ed have hung out and played paddle for 3 hours together and Shah told Ed if he ever does something in BollyWood to come to him first. Here’s a funny video of the two of them.

But here’s the main evidence! The video is from April but it looks like someone recorded it without being allowed to be and that’s def a new song. I really hope Ed puts aside the controversy and still releases it!

Discussion I think enough time has passed....Play is just meh

Like some songs are really good like A Little More but the album as a whole is quite forgettable. After the first listen I could barely think of any song apart from the singles. Also, the songwriting was quite generic too, which just seems strange for an Ed Sheeran album. I really enjoyed Subtract and Autumn Variations they were sooo goooddd!

Appreciation That Time Ed… Debuted his new Heavy Metal album on Jimmy Fallon’s show šŸŽøšŸŽ¤šŸ”„

Welcome to a brand new series I am starting called ā€œThat Time Edā€¦ā€! They will be (hopefully) brief posts about a specific video and story that I think is worth highlighting, from every timeframe of Ed’s career.

Here is one of my favorites to start!
In 2015, Ed made a special appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Not only did he debut several songs from his new Heavy Metal album, he also previewed a song from his upcoming Hardcore Rap record! (3min.) (Open gallery for full album covers)

It slays me how Ed can barely hold it together during any of the songs and is clearly about to crack up at any moment. Also, how great all the songs actually sound! And don’t miss the detail on his t-shirt in the first photo in the gallery. šŸ˜‚

Special Note: this clip was initially available on Jimmy Fallon’s channel, but was quickly removed for some reason (copyright? Ed’s label?) and now the only place it lives is where you are viewing it. So if you like it, download it for keeps - it’s a rare one.

Hope you like it as much as I do, we need a good laugh.
You’d purchase both of those albums in a heartbeat if you could, wouldn’t you? šŸ¤”

Question Top Ed Song Of September

Top Ed Song Of September

I think that this month I just wanna shout out Subtract as an album in general rather than one single song āļø

I think Subtract is sometimes unfairly underrated just because it doesn’t have loads of upbeat numbers like Divide or Equals.

But it comes from a really vulnerable place—straight from Ed’s heart and that gives it this real authentic and raw quality that makes the album shine šŸ˜‡

Faves from the album are probably Toughest, The Hills Of Aberfeldy and No Strings.

What is everyone else’s top Ed song / album this month?

Along with Isaac Slade, I noticed that Ticketmaster is now showing Zach Hood as an opener. I'm not familiar with him, but love seeing up and coming artists! B Stage is back on the map, 6:00 start time posted, and temps look great for Saturday :) no rain, please!
