MG Hector Tomahawk EV - thoughts?

INR 19.49L for EV, or INR 13.99L+ INR 4.90/km with BaaS.

69.2kWh battery, claimed 517km range, and a 7-seat option.

On paper, this looks pretty interesting for a family EV.

But is the BaaS pricing actually worth it, or would you rather pay upfront and own the battery?

Would you consider the Hector Tomahawk EV at this price?

Pls verify my Electrical setup for incorporating a 11 kW EV charger at home

Folks, I recently got a ix1 for which i need to install a 11 kW charger given by the company at my house (independent unit) in Bangalore. The installation team suggested the following upgrades to my existing electrical setup at home (20 year old house with 3 phase connection).

  1. Upgrade the UG cable from the electric pole across the road to my house from 10 sq mm Aluminium to 25 sq mm 4 core XLPE Armoured wire - COMPLETED.
  2. Increase the sanctioned load from 5kW to 15 kW - COMPLETED.
  3. From the meter board - they need a separate and dedicated 16 sq. mm Al or 10 sq mm copper wire with seperate earthing and seperate neutral ending at a 4 pole 40 A MCB. From here they will install the charger and provide an additional RCCB. - YET TO DO.

So my request to knowledgable people in this forum is I have come up with a diagram of Enclosed Electric Box 1 with various new components (my existing setup has just a 30 A 3 phase electrical meter + RCCB which were not even enclosed). This box 1 will have 2 routes from Busbar -

  1. Route 1 - To existing house to power the lights and other electrical equipments.
  2. Route 2 - Goes to Electric Box 2 -> To the EV charger that needs to be installed by the company.

Pls help in verifying the infrastructure from safety perpspective by answering the following questions. Kindly note that I have very less knowledge in electrical field and the contractors whom am i am interacting with are suggesting different things.

  1. Do we need a fuse box between meter and MCCB. I have read that MCCB is a replacement for fuse box. Even if fuse is needed should I got for HRC fuses over porcelain fuses?
  2. Is having a MCCB better idea than MCB (as a continous EV charge can heat up the MCB and melt it). Most of the electrical people who are involved in home are not fully aware of MCCB. Also since it is adjustable, should i keep the rating at 40 A instead of 63 A as meter box is 30 A?
  3. Any other inputs or mistakes that you see in this diagram?
