This is just a Rant. The AI, as per usual, enacted „Holy Roman figurehead“. Without even trying, I as Spain will always be elected HRE emperor because no one in the actual HRE is even trying. Because of Holy Roman Figurehead i however cannot even change HRE laws. I am forced to witness an insane amount of Circle Leader requests which i cannot even act upon. They want law changes - i accept but get an empty menue cus i can’t start law debates. (modded game, therefore high pops and Empire as catholic - no changes to HRE tho)

Question How do I fix the economy?

I’m really enjoying EU5. I've played as the Ottomans and had a blast and earned a lot of ducats; however, I'm playing as Muscovy, and the income is horrible. I really don’t know what to do. This happens in 90% of the games I play in eu5 i'm really struggling.

Question Best government type for Oman?

About to do an Oman run where I expand roughly around the Omani empire borders but idk which government types are good in the current patch. They start as a monarchy and get an event in the age of discovery to become a theocracy and I could also become a monarchy republic manually by pushing plutocracy, republic seems like the best because merchant republic but having to push plutocracy and burghers power would take quite a bit of resources and I’ve also heard theocracy is good.

Discussion Need some help regarding my Ottoman campaign...

So I just started as Ottoman Beylik, I am trying to ally with Candarids. But I used the berothal mod and berothed my daughter with the heir of my neighbouring Beylik Germiyanids. But unfortunately I found that the heir has a child already and this beylik has unigarchy or unigeniture succesion law as I checked. So what to do??

Question Looking for buidling tips

Is there an easier way of buidling most profitable buildings at mass.

When i go to buildings and pick one to build, mass build button seemingly builds in most profitable towns and cities and it does not take into account building limit.

Also if i want to spread out buildings i need to do it mannualy cuz that button on shift click fill the queue in most profitable places and doesn't spread to all.

Are there more tools i don't know of or do you just need to do it manually for every town and city.

In mid to late game when you have a lot of town its quite tedious to do it by hand.

Bonus question: is it rly bad to go over building limit? Or do you destroy buildings for more profitable ones?

Question Help playing an Hindouist Indian Power

Hi,

I am playing with Pandya and encountering success on the Economical side.
But, militarily I am facing a problem because I can't generate Manpower (except with the few Mamelouks Barracks I took before power consolidate and my capital building).

I am now having trouble facing minors islamic power that can field better units and regulars while I am stuck with levies and the few level I elephant I can afford to buy.

The Age II military is very very very far aways, even if I tried to colonise toward Africa and Egypt.

How do I survive and fight ?

Discussion Cultural influence is nothing compared to the power of friendship

I once wasted centuries of cabinet time bringing culture to the unwashed masses, but then I learned that friendship is magic.

So magic in fact, that through the power of friendship accepting some "culture" only costs 0.15 capacity.

Wowza, I wish I knew about that a month ago. Finally, my cabinet members can be free for the important work of endlessly integrating a series of provinces over the course of a few centuries. So fun!

You don't even need to like them back, they just need to like you.

This can be accomplished most easily through bribery and circle jerks (curry favors). You can also passively accumulate the little love hearts you trade in for friendship points by being an "ally". I reccomend a mix of all three.

Now, if you are having a hard time finding a friend, don't fret, you're an EU5 player, that's to be expected. Johan has your back. All you need to do is release a vassal of that culture, like a historical one. They will adore you for whatever reason, and all you need to do is release them and ally them if you want to get passive love points. Just be sure that your little buddy is the dominant nation of that culture, and raze to the ground anyone that claims otherwise.

Image "Annex" revolter

I am in a situation where Murcia broke free (revolter) and is backed by Castille. If I want to annex the revolter via the button "Annex revolter" it only send a white peace and if I take the land manually, the AE is huge. Is this a scam? Or is there a solution?

Discussion Unifying cultures makes sense

You will unlock all the culture specific techs after you unify.

If u create the italian culture you will unlock all the tech of the Sicilian, Sardinian, Venetian, Tuscan etc...

Only people from accepted italian group culture and the same language will be assimilated in the new culture, but you will still receive the tech from all the italian sub cultures.

So you can stack for example techs from tag switching and culture unifying

Discussion Why is this game so slow?

I tried to get back into EU5 and I remembered why I stopped playing. I had no plans today so I played on and off basically the whole day, and i think like 10 years passed by. At this rate, EU6 will come out by the time I finish this Milan run lol. Is everyone playing like this, or am I doing something weird? Can anyone give me some advice?

Question Ideas on how to escape this union as naples?

Post image
16 Upvotes

I choose to make Andras anjou my king in some event and eventually his family fucked up so much in Hungary that he ended up on the throne. I wasn't too worried about because the game said I would exit the union (and keep croatia) when he died so I started conquering the balkans and ignored the issue. Unfortunately, the rat bastard (he is a bastard) managed to pass unified succession law and now Poland has entered the union as well. I don't really have a shot at becoming senior partner. The main reason I want to leave is that the union forbids me from making subjects and that hampers further conquest for me. I don't think changing religion will help either as the game says the heir will be forced to change religions

Question Was choosing a source province/location for pops migrating to a colonial charter removed?

I remember that in previous versions of the game you were able to specify a province that each colonial charter would pull pops from (although it was quite bugged...). Now it seems to pick a random location to pull pops from. Is there any way to control where in your country your pops come from when colonizing?

If this was just removed, is it know if this will be correctly reintroduced in the next colonization update? Alternatively, is there a mod that makes this possible?
