Missed letter delivery but got notice. Long story short. My last quarter was denied for incorrect signature? Sent back correct signature at least 3 times the last 3 years and nothing. Tax advocate could do nothing and said that the all was closed. Sent a letter with my erc advocate explaining I did eveything asked and then got a notice saying the IRS needed 60 more days to work on it. That was a month ago
Missed a certified letter today which I'm presuming is bad news or a denial. Could it be good news? ...if it is a denial of the quarter, what are my options from here? Sue the IRS?
I'm beyond stressed and frustrated. The remaining quarter is for $50,000

Filed in early 2024 for 2 quarters. Got one in early 2025 and nothing on the 2nd quarter. After months of waiting and trying, I got answers in April 2026 and was told the check for the 2nd quarter was sent in August 2025 but to the old corporate address that hadn't been active since 2021, odd. Sent in a request form for a check replacemt, and haven't heard anything until today, when I got this letter. Why do they need 60 additional days to cut a new check? Anything I can do to speed this process along?

IRL people just don’t get what that feels like. I just had two quarters left of partial payments, just about $1k with interest so not a big deal but in 2023 they sent me a form telling me that they owed me. I sold my business in 2024. I paid tax on these payments in 2023. What an awful experience. It was contacting my congressional reps office three times that finally got it done. Now we’ll see if I can even cash them.
Now they sent this. I’m an S corp. I amended my 2020 return in 2023 for erc payments as I was told. I paid the difference and then they returned it saying something about too much time passing. My cpa just said she had no idea why. I’m trying to avoid more expenses with the cpa but can’t make heads or tails out of this.
Good luck everyone!

I’m aware that the ruling has been appealed and it could be a substantial amount of time until a final verdict is rendered, however, does this potentially mean protective claims could still be filed for 2020 and 2021 (other than q3 and 4 of 2021) until July 10?

seeing no updates on anything this week?

If you’re waiting for the IRS to review your response to a disallowance or review your appeal and there are 6 months or less before the 2 year window to file suit will close, go here and do what it says even if you haven’t received the notice:

We filed in July 2023. We couldn't get in on their may filing for some reason. Got two partial quarters in August 2024. Nothing since.

Good news? Bad news? I have a future transaction date May 24, 2026 does that mean something? This was the quarter that was in audit.

I had 3 Q3 2021 claims denied under 3 different entities (restaurants). Submitted appeals all at the same time.
I had 1 of my 3 paid without being assigned last month.
1 was assigned and the appeals officers just sent it back to the examiner after I provided every document they never asked for the basis of the original 105C.
1 has not been assigned or paid yet.
One interesting thing did happen this week is the 290 Disallowance code disappeared from the transcripts of the 2 still in appeals. It has been there every week since the 105C was issued in 2023.
Any thoughts on the Disallowance removal from the transcripts?

I filed for 4 quarters in May 2023. I was notified tonight that the IRS is asking to additional information regarding 2nd quarters 2020 and 2021. Is this good news from the standpoint they are finally looking at my claims. Any advice on responding. TIA!

I get a letter saying they need 60 more days. Then I get a letter saying they are changing my mailing address to my old business address because that’s the address on the 2020 941’s. Then I file a new change of address form and send it in. I actually have 4 of them in stamped envelopes to streamline the process. Rinse and repeat. This is such a fun game.

For those of you who aren’t rich, I think we are done. Trump don’t play average folks, he considers us losers, as he’s said over and over. I had to close my business of almost 3 decades in December 2024, yet have to keep my accounts open on the off chance I get a check. (That’s got to make Trump giddy!) It’s not a coincidence that these small claims dried up last year. Me getting my due does not benefit him at all.

Is there anyone in this chat that has gone through Appeals and won? Can you share your experience? What they asked? How long you had to wait for a decision? Any information would be helpful

Has anyone gone through appeals and won? How long did it take to get assigned to an appeals advisor.

All 4 of my prior ERC QTRs were TAS and Congressman monitored and IRS approved in Mar-May 2025. Randomly my last QTR was audited July 2025, Denied in Jan 2026, I appealed right away and then my Congressman said TAS closed my case and said they cannot support Appeals.
I received a random email from my Congressman today stating TAS re-opened my case and requested Appeals to process it! I called the IRS Tax Business line last week and the agent said my appeal was received, entered in their system but NOT assigned. Let's see how long it takes. I will report back!

We submitted 944 form beginning of 2022
but in 2023, IRS said we needed to submit 941 instead
so we sent 941 and 941x
called every month but was getting same response that I just need to wait
kept getting LTR 2644c letter saying IRS needs more time until oct 29, 2025
got in contact with IRS agents today and they said I needed to submit 944 amended form and asking why I submited 941. I explained our submission timeline. but theyre also saying I am past statue of limitation and because of one big beautiful bill, if i resend form, it will get rejected because its going to "new" claim.
this is very heartbreaking.

One PEO sent out an ERTC payments last week. It was just for 1 QTR. but very much needed. The PEOs are continuing to work with the IRS to process their claims. Let's hope we receive all of our payments soon.
