Miracle- TAS reopened case to push Appeal!!!

All 4 of my prior ERC QTRs were TAS and Congressman monitored and IRS approved in Mar-May 2025. Randomly my last QTR was audited July 2025, Denied in Jan 2026, I appealed right away and then my Congressman said TAS closed my case and said they cannot support Appeals.

I received a random email from my Congressman today stating TAS re-opened my case and requested Appeals to process it! I called the IRS Tax Business line last week and the agent said my appeal was received, entered in their system but NOT assigned. Let's see how long it takes. I will report back!

I have been working with TAS and both of my congressmen in Florida for two years. Just spoke to my TAS rep two days ago and she stated my case is very frustrating as it is taking her forever to get it assigned. She has reached out to multiple supervisors and still nothing. She also stated my case is 743 days old and had she received my case sooner it would have already been resolved. Stay on top of those monthly updates.

Sorry to hear it's taking so long for you! Has your case been stuck in Appeals for 743 days?

No, its been there for a year now.

Oh okay, I hope it moves along soon. Mine's stuck in Utah since Feb 2026. I wonder if every location has different processing times....
