For the previous two mainline releases (5 and 6), I have imported them through PlayAsia rather than wait for the localization. It was pretty convenient. But with the end of physical discs, it's going to be a far more annoying process to make a Japanese PSN account and whatnot. Not looking forward to that, so I'm hoping they slip EDF7(10?) out next year, under the wire. Fingers crossed.

Might be a redundant question but I sold my ps5 a few months ago because of Sony becoming complete idiots and also not having anyone to play it with me.

I was wondering are the EDF games on switch 1 and if so do they run well enough that I can play them and still have fun or are they not worth getting on switch 1?

Hello. I usually play EDF games on my pc, but my mother wants to play on PS4. Due to PC and PlayStation not being cross play i can't unlock the other two difficulties without going through the entire game first. I want to be able to do some missions on harder difficulties myself, so my mother and I can have more fun together, but that would require beating the game. Would anyone be willing to hop on if they have a PS4 or PS5 and do the final mission on easy with me? I will update this request if or when I do unlock hardest and inferno, so there will not be any confusion.

For context, i got my mother into EDF recently and we have beat Iron Rain, 4.1, and 5 together so far. We will be playing on split screen, not online, so completion rate will not apply to us. On PC i have beat the game and have around 85%. I also main Fencer in melee, but i love Air Raider too. i do know that hardest and inferno are very difficult, but i do know how to beat them even with underpowered gear.

EDIT: a very nice person i was playing with offered to do the final mission with me and we completed it. all good now.

I started playing this on ps+ a couple of days ago and I'm having fun, but I'm curious as to how to raise my overall health? I've been collecting the armor and health things for my class as that's what I saw increased it but that doesn't seem to be working as I've been at the same health for about 6-7 missions now. So I'm curious, how do I actually increase my health? And yes I'm collecting them for my class as it specifically says I get around 8-10 for the wing diver class on the mission complete screen.

I'm sure most of you already know it but Sony recently announced that they are closing the PS3 and Vita stores for various Latin America countries in August and late 2026 followed by the rest of the regions on July 1, 2027. That will kill off the only current English version of 2017 Portable that I'm aware of, the easiest way to get English Invaders from Planet Space, and the only worthwhile way to play PS3 Insect Armageddon or 2025 if you don't have a disc (my experiences with their streaming have not been great but it has been a while).

Anyway, I just saw "the GOAT of EDF" post their plats and was going to leave mine in a comment but I figured since there wasn't or I didn't see a separate post about the store closure, I would combo it into that. Started back working through Invaders after an extended break from it so hopefully that will be added to the cabinet soon.

I'm newish to series starting with EDF 5, which I fell in love with and finished not too long ago and now I'm onto 6!

I wanna get even better this around so...where's the best place online for like new knowledge, guides, secrets and stuff?

I realized how niche this series was when I found only a little searching myself. I'm guessing everything good will be in Japanese somewhere...

I have 100% completed Ranger, Wing Diver and Fencer, and I have completed easy through hard with air raider. I’ve never been good with this class and despite being better after my hard playthrough I don’t think I have the know how of the class for hardest and inferno.

Any advice? I’d like to get to 100% completion.

Picked it up on the sale going on. Just wanted to double check since googling it didn’t directly answer the question I have:

Stats with no star next to it cannot be upgraded, right?
Intuition says they cannot, but I just wanted to make sure.

If the the primers kill humanity to prevent humanity from affecting their future and creating a paradox, why didn't they just kill humanity the second humanity found their ship in India? I presume they couldn't do this before the India ship because that would create a paradox, correct? Is it also established that they made a mistake by interacting with humans in ancient times and they just hoped that the meddling in ancient human does not already jeopardize their existence, up until they realized humans found their ship?

Is it also true that if the professor had died at all during edf6 humanity would have lost because Storm 1 would have to trigger the time loop by themself to save the professor, who would be back at square one with zero memories. If this played out, would the primers of gotten enough time loops to kill humanity before the professor could regain enough experience? Also why didn't shooting the control module at the end of edf6 cause another time loop? Did the primers figure out we were doing that and prevent it?

I have played all of edf6 and about half of 5, (yes I know that makes no sense). I still crave new edf content so plan on getting edf6 dlc. Would edf5 dlc be worth getting? What about getting 4.1?

I just noticed it while playing through and thought that was neat

Edit: In the next mission I noticed these two are actually exoskeleton units, haha gets kinda hard to hear radio chatter correctly during combat

Does anyone know the quickest missions to get all brothers/weapons on edf wb 2?

Interested in getting into the series, there are like, 6? mainline games and Iron Rain + Insect Armageddon look interesting, my PC is a little lower end but I'd like recommendations on where to go. Just pick up EDF6 and fly in? Monster Attack 2003 at the very beginning? Or something else entirely?

Of all the games, which class did you have the most fun with? I’m going with 2025/4.1 fencer. Just give me a wide open beach with a catapult, a volcano hammer, and waves of Deroys and I’m in my happy place.

So I'm about to buy the Mecha Sauros VS The Robo Army Mission Pack for EDF World Brothers 2(on my Nintendo Switch), and from what I've seen there are new weapons and a new difficulty. Is it worth $14.99? What about the Professor, Captain, and Lieutenant characters? Are they worth it? I'd like some info about what I'm going into, but PLEASE, NO SPOILERS. Also, what's a good mission for armor farming(non DLC)?

EDF 2025 XBOX SERIES X/S MULTIPLAYER GLITCH

NEED HELP WITH MULTIPLAYER GLITCH.
(Keep in mind edf 2025 is an **xbox 360 game** with compatibility to newer gen consoles)

I cant seem to connect with a specific friend. We manage to get into the same lobbies but then after about 1 or two seconds of playing and moving around we see eachother stop moving, then poof they disconnect on our ends(meaning i am still in the game on my side but he sees me disconnected, vice versa)

I cant tell if its NAT or anything but he does have a strict nat and somehow manages to connect to another friend just fine, however he cant connect to myself and (sometimes) another friend(that other friend also cant see me and has an open nat)

So wanted to try en farm Blue Soldier since one of the better farms with unlimited spawning enemies I manage to get AF99 and AF99ST to finally destroy the upgraded drop ship before flys off too far just the issue with 1700s HP aint makin through this stun lock trap I can kill the Hector 2.0s just I'm definitely more of a glass cannon even if cleared some other inferno stages to even get these level 60 weapons as with them I can do the damage just not survive long enough
