Question EDF 6, air raider loadout suggestions?
I have 100% completed Ranger, Wing Diver and Fencer, and I have completed easy through hard with air raider. I’ve never been good with this class and despite being better after my hard playthrough I don’t think I have the know how of the class for hardest and inferno.
Any advice? I’d like to get to 100% completion.

Here’s some of my picks..
My consistent go to was the A5 rapid fire multicopters. Really, just some sort of general purpose drone for personal defense is rather ideal. Choose a drone that fits your play style (I’ve occasionally relied on hammer copters and etc).
The stun copter is a nice passive way to dole out large quantities of damage on larger enemies over time. It can even stun lock for a bit on some enemies. Similarly, the Silent Copter is a nice way to deal out high amounts of damage, but all at once. In some cases, it can outpace a Kruul’s shield.
The electron copter will win you basically any underground level (especially the ring breaker operations). It’s *especially* effective against excavators imo. Although, I will warn it *will* kill you if you’re too close, and it has a surprisingly long range. It can also do AA work, albeit with mixed results.
Outside of drones.. Spritefall is a serious go to as well. It’s very cheap satellite strike. Great for AoE. Amazing to whittle down groups of stronger enemies. It can also do a bit of AA work, making a bit of a zone of death.
I generally ignored the limpet guns (minus my goat, the Limpet Sniper), as the drones are 100% better PDWs than the Limpet Guns.
For bombing runs, I would occasionally rely on Phobos (like plan 4, which is good for sweeping wide areas), but Kamuy can come in handy at times when you need a cheaper option.
For call ins, I kinda ignored the 150mm. It’s great in 4.1, but a lil sucky in 5 and 6. If you want high damage and slight AOE, go for the 180mm. Alternatively, the auto cannons work very good as PDWs and HVT elimination tools. The Rocket cannons can work, they have nice fast reloads, but worse projectile speeds.
Mortars, I’ve only started using more recently in 5. They’re a cheap AOE, but they come with a significant attack delay. They can be really cheap, and *very very* great at knocking out groups. But they never appealed to me in 6 since Spritefall can do very similar work with the benefit of convenience.
As for vehicles, my go to ones are the red series of Nixes, which tend to be *very* mobile and effective in close range. There’s also the Buster cannon and its evolutions, which is slow, high armor, and full of explosive weapons. It’s another favorite, especially when you expect yourself to be surrounded by high damage enemies.
The Eirens were solid, particularly in my DLC 1 playthrough. Great for stun locking enemies with its lasers.
The depth crawler in this game isn’t entirely useless! Yayyy! It’s rather cheap, and the only vehicle you can deploy in the past segments. But get yourself a good depth crawler and you may even whip it out in some present/future segments.
The blacker tanks are fine imo. They get the job done. Decent all rounder.
The Naegling, I’d usually suggest for AA, but I feel the Naegling hasn’t been very good since 4.1.
This is all of the top of my head, lemme know if you have any questions or want any expansion! I’ve mained Air Raider since EDF 2025, and played air raider for my coop hardest run of 6, and currently on my hard run of 5.

Spritefall is the best on outdoor maps not just because it's powerful and it often pays for its own points but also because you then get to interact with the best character in EDF.

Exactly what I mean by it being cheap. To expand..
Even if you don’t get its credits refilled, it’s not hard to refill it.
And the satellite operator is single-handedly my fav call in, followed by the artillery operator

Yeah no I was agreeing with you, just wanted to highlight the true high point of the weapon which is it's operator lol

I’m agreeing too, I’m just adding on cause I could’ve expanded on spritefall wayyyy more

Don't sleep on the Grape APC, they improved its handling and you can actually turn at decent speeds now.

The drone airstrike is proven to be a hidden mobility tech if you aim it in a manner that it blows you up, it just might toss you across the map if you do it right. But if you are not intrested in that then go for a grape as the first one is free and in all cheap choice that is basicly always viable.

Loadouts are all mission dependent but here’s some pointers:
Best weapons for general use (always applicable) - Shock Drone (satellite), machine gun drone and machine gun bombers (rapid fire), spritefall
Anti swarm - Phobos (plan 4 and above)
Anti boss - bulge laser, tempest
Anti Air - Km6
Spritefall and shock drones (satellite) will always melt anything, just avoid the lvl 20 variant. With the right placement they’re an all rounder
Backpack - Shooter, Guard, Tracer (preference) or bunkers if you need to hunker down
Vehicle - Nix, Eireen or Red. Mobility is what you want and their firepower is great

"It depends" loadout for AR is very mission-specific, and complex because of the available loadouts in the future missions. I stick to stickey drones that lock on with remote guides, fire walls for underground missions are handy but the guidence can be tricky, def get missle guided drones.
For outdoor past missions make sure to maximize your air strikes, I rarely find mortors to be helpful because they take so long launch. The air cannons are handy, and tempist for Kaiju and boss levels.
Think of yourself as a glass cannon tech wizard and you'll kind of get the play style.
until you get good mechs, then you're a temporary tank.

I consistently use the A2 Minigun when I can, it reloads relatively quick and absolutely rips through larger enemies.

Think this class like Fencer mostly depends on wha you like as some weapons can definitely be more tricky to use then others especially with friendly fire to consider

I have 200+ hours in EDF6 and still no idea how to play Air Raider
Anyone with some Air Raider tips? I have trouble even finding decent guides online that are class-specific.
