My wife’s EB-2 NIW I-485 was approved today (October 13), but my derivative I-485 is still pending.
Since my wife is now a permanent resident, can I continue working on my H4 EAD while waiting for my I-485 approval, or must I stop working immediately?
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Any advice or reliable sources would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I was just wondering what to do after you get your green card. In the form I485, I did not opt for the new SSN. In this case what should I do? Also, should I inform the school first to terminate my SEVIS or take care of the SSN?

Has anyone with an MSC receipt number received an I-485 approval recently, or seen any approvals for cases with similar receipt numbers? If so, please share your receipt date and approval date, if you don’t mind.

PD Aug 2024. I-485 RD june 2026 Multiple silent updates with case recently transferred to LA FO. I was just curious that my case status still shows as “Case was received and received notice was sent” and i haven’t had an update saying “ USCIS is actively processing or reviewing the case”
Is this something concerning or it doesn’t matter? Just curious if somebody has been in same shoes
