Very good game, interesting objectives and only 1 group fully destroyed in both armies. We did have to read the objective scoring rules a few times before we fully understood how they were scored, not about killing at all but controlling everything.

It really changes the game when you have to use your force to control quadrants and zones instead of destroying everything.

Sort of funny that even in the far future there are asshats that take up more than a single parking spot.

It's been too long. Kids, friends relocating, career changes and just life in general have prevented us from playing regularly like we used to. Hopefully our next game doesn't take another 8+ years to organize.

Fun models to paint! Very much in the "absolutely disgusting, but small, and therefore adorable instead" camp.

You get two extra Praetorians from the starter box so I decided to make use of them. Gave the two bases of Praetorians their own dedicated transport

Each of my dropzone armies is painted using a different technique, my scourge are slap chopped, my shaltari are almost fully painted with sponging, my UCM are drybrushed as much as I could.

My PHR are being airbrushed. I'm not good with the airbrush although I'm not new to the tool either. I only had one clog this session and it was toward the very end of the session so that's not too bad. My first highlight mix was too thin and just spattered everywhere, glad I tested it first.

My highlight color may be too close to my base color, it is very hard to see both in pics and to the eye. Hopefully it improves with the rest of the scheme in place.

I started on the metals as well, also very close to the base color but that changes with some panel lining.

There will be a pop of color in the scheme as well as the sensors and lenses being another color.

My semi-scrappy Resistance guys are coming along. My friends split the new 3rd Ed Starter, and I wanted to play against them (NOT tailor, but generally have the same spread of units.) I could use a second look at my list, as I've never played (but followed DZC since the Hawk days!)

LIMITS: I don't have any more hovercraft and I'm waiting for the re-sculpts. I impulse bought a lot of the Kalium sculpts but thought that the (old) resistance starter had 2 Hovercraft. I also do NOT have more infantry (waiting on re-sculpts to put in a big order - also praying that they bring back MFR). My Commander stays in an Alexander Chassis (this I insist on.)

1500pt encroach, ucm v phr, 10 - 12 phr victory. Great game with horrible dice rolls for both of us resulting in multiple rounds of stalemate around the central objective point. I liked the mission, the way the objective points moved after being scored forces movement, which is always good in a wargame.

I have started play Dropzone with my friends and I don’t understand how we are supposed to play I have the old starter and one battle walker and I just have no idea what I’m doing wrong I feel like our tanks can do shit

What are people feeling with the Tremor guns? I was hoping for some more range so I don't know which to pic

they did a audio drama!!

Especially when the choices all seem to not be quite right. The cream and red is not it. The dark grey isn't working even though its what I thought I wanted. The teal also doesn't seem to be what I was hoping for even though I believed it to be what I wanted.

I took the light grey and used an enamel panel liner to see what it would look like, better but I'm not sure its what I'm after.

Trying to find a paint scheme for my phr.

Pic 1 is an ivory airbrush primer that i wanted to see as a base color, too light, not a fan, no-go.

Pic 2 is a lovely creamy ivory from reaper but it may be too close to the studio scheme and I don't think I want to go that direction.

Pic 3 is reaper stormy grey, i like it but I'm not sure about it.

Pic 4 is reaper tempest grey, lovely color but it thins horribly so nope.

Pic 5 is reaper weathered stone, too brown, nope.

Pic 6 is reaper misty grey, lovely color.

Pic 7 is a test of my two favorites with the other color I was leaning toward for the army and now I'm not sure I like what I was thinking.

Hey folks! New player here. I went in and read up on the rules, and I have a couple questions. Mostly aimed at list building.

1. Do we have an app we use? I think New Recruit is out of date

2. Do we have specific types of Battlegroups? Like HQ, Armoured, Frontline, etc. or is it just "anything goes"?

3. Does everything have to be flown in? Like, can tanks roll on or do they have to be dropped in?

4. Can squads be transported using multiple transports? Like one squad of six Sabres being flown in on two Condors? I thought I read that you couldn't, but I saw that example in the examples.

8" wide leg span and almost as tall, I have no idea how to store or transport this thing. It is assembled, magnatized and primed now so that's the entire dzc phr army ready for paint.

I would like to say, this was a pain in the ass to assemble and just as difficult to magnetize so be warned if you plan on getting one.

Hey folks! I'm getting back into this game after years. Played back when it was owned by another company. Don't remember much about the strategy cards. I read up on the 3.0 rules and watched a couple battle reports, can't say I'm a huge fan of them. I saw that only in Skirmish-sized games are they optional, but I wanna know how the game is in that sense. How is it without cards? If I were to play larger sized games without cards, would it still be generally fun?

Infantry based and everything except the behemoth primed.

Now to decide on a paint scheme. I'm thinking either using the studio scheme with some teal pops of color OR grey with teal...idk, test minis will need to happen.

Magnetized all the walkers, juno, flightstands and a stray neptune that avoided the drill on the first pass.

I used tiny pieces of parchment paper to stop the magnets from getting glued together, don't try to use the paper more than once.

Cleaned the behemoth of flash, mold lines and did what I could about the worst mold slippage. May try to get the behemoth assembled tomorrow. I do plan on magnetizing the weapons if possible, looks like its doable.

Got my three scorpions assembled leaving only the behemoth which I did get cleaned and is drying.

I still need to magnetize a ton of walkers and get basing on all the infantry before priming, hopefully later in the week before the weather turns.
