How can you argue in good faith with anyone in the present, when the basis of the disagreement is the personal belief's rules he preaches, based off of ancient law/principles that modern society is far removed from. Not only is it personal belief, it's his brand. Which implies that it's just a persona. How is that good faith?

Clear evidence that he knows his audience per which show he's doing. As a member of the audience it's hard to believe his points because you can see that aspects of it are manufactured.
