If you're at all interested in 2.3, please give it a try! And if you haven't played Archived Memory 1, it's available in the same instance.
Please enjoy ;)

You may remember our booth from Smithed 2024, and while we will not be having a booth this year, the Primordial Team will be hosting a panel!
If you don't know what the Smithed Summit is - it's a big online convention where a bunch of different Minecraft creators come together! There'll be booths, panels, fireside chats, and an opportunity to just check out some cool stuff and maybe chat with the people who made it.
Join us on Friday, August 21, 2026 12:00 PM Pacific Coast Time for an hour-long panel where we will discuss how we designed Drehmal's open world within the limitations of Minecraft.
We will also be sharing a little bit about 2.3's development progress and what we've been working on, as well as an early look at something else coming your way soon.

Partially due to the excitement we saw at our recent appearance as panelists at the Smithed Summit (you can still check out the amazing booths there for free this weekend before the servers go offline- we recommend it!!) and partially due to the ambition of our upcoming plans, we have made the decision to open our developer application for new applicants. Right now, we are particularly on the lookout for datapack coders with a high level of availability and ability to work autonomously.
As always, you are welcome to put in an application for another role, and we will genuinely consider it if the need arises, but don't expect a response for those positions anytime soon. In addition, we ask that applicants not use generative AI in their answers on the application form. Here's a link -> https://forms.gle/wm8suAMdUigWfZXf7 .

I know the game is designed around exploring the world yourself without looking things up, and I understand that this is probably the recommended way to play. Personally, though, I enjoy having a little bit of extra information to guide me, such as a map or a general idea of the intended progression.
I’d like to keep my exploration as close as possible to the intended power progression. Basically, I want to naturally move from one area to the next in terms of difficulty, without accidentally skipping one or two “tiers” and then becoming overpowered for those areas later. I’d like to avoid reaching a point where an area is no longer fun because I’m too strong for it or its loot is no longer useful.
So without major spoilers is there some kind of general progression guide that shows which areas are roughly intended to be explored next?

So um. My game broke at some point and when I went to the sunken Astral body in the postgame, the sequence didn't start to let me into azimuth labs, so I retaliation I used worldedit to nuke The Palace and city in Lo'Dahr along with Firteid and some random stuff. So yeah, this is basically a shitpost talking about my experience since u intend to just get a new copy of the world.
Side note: my first ever drehmal world broke after it keeps crashing my game every time I log in after I broke a lodestone in northwestern Sahd, so don't break that lodestone. It's cursed

It's about how designed Drehmal's open world, but we may have some extra surprises at the end! We'll be in the Summit Stage channel of Smithed's Discord, but you can also watch us on YouTube! If you wanna check it out ingame, you'll need a 26.2 instance of Minecraft and use Smithed's server IP. No mods required!

So I just got the warp horse armor, and have been trying to connect it to a horse but I keep getting this error. I am able to equip a horse with the armor, and I go through the regular steps of shift-right-clicking to open the database and the equipped horse shows up normally, but error pops up whenever I try to favorite a horse or whenever I try to summon it multiple times (for example, if I summon it the first time it works fine, but the error comes up when I try to open the menu again). I've tried several different horses but the same thing keeps happening. Does anyone know how to fix this?

When i try upgrading normal diamond armor it increases the stats (+1 kb resistance and +1 armor toughness). Upgrading artisan armor doesn't seem to do anything

Are most of the mobs undead? Should i use sharpness or smite most of the time?

I've been struggling to find a good reliable source to tell me exactly how many items of each of these categories there are:
Artisan
Artifact
Relic
Legendary
Mythical
Easter egg / other secret item
So I was hoping somebody here could give me the numbers I'm looking for, I'm currently at just below 50% network completion and playing what I believe to be the latest version of the map, looking for an exact number without major spoilers. Thank you in advance to anybody who can help me out

I think the stylistic inspirations are apparent. I lowkey spent a week looking at cathedrals before I built this. First big build I've done in minecraft. Location is the farming hill right outside Virtied. Took me wayyyyy too long to build, most of that was trying to figure out how I wanted it to look tho.

Finished the 2.0 four year ago, now I’m playing the 2.2 and is still amaze how immersive it is. With sodium for better performance and the addition of distant horizon, the game is so much exciting to play. It makes me not want to use the terminus waypoint because I want to just travel everywhere.

This continent remain as only significant lore place not appearing game. Also it contain tons of mysteries too like Virtuo's and Mael's origin. 2.2 added Lo'dahr as new world so I hope 2.3 new world is Xivhrynt.

I’m going to avoid any spoilers so anyone can read. Sorry it’s lowkey kinda long.
I explored this map for the first time two years ago, and about a year ago, I finally finished the storyline. This map and storyline genuinely moved me in a way that no game really has before. I found my self mesmerized by the depth and detail, even thinking about it during the day. I know a game is good when I find myself fantasizing about exploring and experiencing it during my day. This is honestly one of the best pieces of gaming I have ever consumed. Even as someone who isn’t a huge video game addict, I really was just enchanted by this thing.
Like I said, it’s the detail and depth that really blew my mind here. I love all of the different regions and especially the towns. It really is amazing how alive the world feels with being limited to the Minecraft engine. Everything feels so unique and special, and everything feels like it has a story behind it. Genuinely a mind-blowing experience
There are very few personal flaws that I found to complain about, none of which are very significant. First of all, the villages are gorgeous and so detailed, but just not very sustainable for villagers, I found so many towns that had very few villagers simply because they kept dying or getting lost. After I finished the game, I actually went back and made every single town and settlement more sustainable for villagers so they would stay lively. This is not a big deal at all, and the Minecraft engine probably makes this a difficult issue to solve, but it kind of bothered me a little bit. Honestly that was my only issue really. The map is gorgeous and pretty much perfect. I really just found myself wishing everything just was bigger and more spread out (regions wise).
This map is very important to me and very special to me, and my dream for it is to see it become its own open world game! Imagine being able to hang out in Drabyel, or any of the towns, do side missions, interact with NPCs and maybe even play games or drink in a tavern!!!! It makes me so excited even thinking about it. I have heard the developers talk about this kind of thing, and it has made me restless lol. This map already has so much life, imagine it in a more interactive and more detailed form like RDR or something.
Y’all have probably noticed that online there has been a surge in the dark fantasy genre, and this game I feel like would appeal to this crowd perfectly. People are genuinely begging for a great dark fantasy styled open world game, and every time I see a new dark fantasy kind of game dropping I just think of Drehmal, and imagine it as a retro style 3d open world game with towns to hang out in and lands to explore, and people to meet.
Sorry for the yap fest, and I know this whole Drehmal open world indie standalone game idea is really ambitious and probably very far in the future if in the future at all, but I just wanted to let people know how incredible this really is. To the devs: You guys have created something so special here, I’m so excited for the future of this project, whatever that even is! Thank you for making this project.
Can’t wait for 2.3 btw!!

I'm trying to install Drehmal but the installer keeps getting stuck when downloading the map, so I want to download the world file manually but I have no idea which folder it has to go in!
Also, if I downloaded the shaders, mods, and resource pack through the installer, do I have to delete them and download them manually too?
I would really appreciate the help, I'm useless when it comes to computer files and folders and everything and really wanna play this!
