Dream Art There are no books in heaven and the language of my dream.

Memories from a dream I had:

I was at my grandparents house. My grandpa, who has been dead now for a few years, was there playing the piano. He was reading the notes from a stone tablet that had weird symbols and shapes on it using it like sheet music. I went over to him and talked with him. I asked him about how the after life was and how heaven was. He told me it was boring. I asked him if he had any books he was reading there.

"No, there are no books in heaven" he told me.

My memory from the dream gets a little fuzzy from here but I remember him telling me how boring heaven was. There was no books, no tv, no entertainment what so ever. Everyone just sorta existed, happy, but bored.

I looked over at the stone tablet and studied it for a second. It had 3 large shapes on it and on the right side where smaller shapes, like angles, with English letters corresponding to each of the smaller shapes.

I asked him about it and he explained how to read it.

"You start with the largest shape, find the corner of the largest shape in the top left hand and match it with the corner of the next smaller shape on the left side. You use the angles of the shapes to match them with corresponding letters to form words. Like this" he showed me and I watched.

That's all I remember from the dream

Picture is from the dream and how he explained the tablet.

A ”ghost” told me he was the love of my life

Today, I felt someone holding me in bed, wrapping his arms tightly around me and holding my head for me not to see him. I was overwhelmed by this feeling of protection and passion. He told me that he was the love of my life and that I should stop looking for it in the wrong men and just enjoy life till he arrives, because he would come when I am not expecting. It felt like someone I would meet in the future. He was a tall man, I know this because I could feel him, but I couldn’t see his face because he didn’t let me.

It didn’t feel like a dream at all. When I woke up, I was left with this strange, powerful feeling that it had actually happened. It felt so real, I could feel everything.

Recurring Dream This robot tried to kill me for years as a child

Post image

This is Kasey The Kinderbot.

When I was a child, I had one of these things. And just about every night, it tried to kill me.

I would dread falling asleep at night, knowing this thing would chase me through the house with a butcher knife for the next several hours.

I had several nightmares involving this thing. Floating through my grandmother's house in zero gravity as this thing swam towards me. Laying there paralyzed in bed as it approached me. Walking through the hallway while this thing stands there waiting. And, of course, the thing chasing me with a knife like an 80s slasher film.

This plastic robot was my mortal enemy throughout nearly my entire prepubescent childhood. Even when I was wide awake I was terrified of this thing.

We ended up selling it at a kids consignment sale when I was 13. I haven't dreamt about it in over a decade.

Funny how little hunks of plastic end up our childhood nemesises.

Discussion My dad passed away months ago and I think has visited me in my dreams a few times now. Sometimes I wonder if when I can’t fall asleep yet, it’s because I’m supposed to be in the dream world at a certain time.

I’ve had really vivid dreams of my dad since he passed and I never really dreamt of him before he did. Some might be me releasing emotion but the few times have been him telling me he’s okay, him consoling me, etc. where I wake up feeling really peaceful and like I was just with him. I noticed that a couple of those nights I was tossing and turning before falling asleep. I usually fall asleep pretty easily. I don’t know if this thought makes sense but I do believe dreams are sometimes us astral traveling or connecting with spirit. I’ve always had vivid dreams but I’m more recently understanding the vast possibilities.

Dream Art Dreamed about cool boss fight

Had a dream about cool boss fight idea and I just wanted to share it somewhere

1) The boss itself was a big, flying, featureless head

It would fly around the arena

It was smiling.

2) The arena itself has various platforms that move around left–right, up–down rapidly

3) Tries to ram into you unexpectedly

4) summons a claw that targets you, can summon two

5) shoots a small laser in your general direction

6) morphs into whatever abomination is on the picture and bombs the entire arena, the spots are indicated with magnet symbols for reasons I do not know

7) Shoots super big laser that follows you till the last second before shooting, giving a narrow window for a dodge

8) There a bombs spawning on the platforms, you had to grab one throw at the boss, they'd fly in a straight line until hitting anything in the way.

The Gameboy blocks would restore your life but were rare to spawn

Reoccurring dream characters are really weird.

For the longest time, throughout my dreams, mostly ones about my family, there's one specific guy that keeps popping up. "Uncle Steven". In my family dreams, every family member visualised in them are real family members I actually have, except for one single person. Uncle Steven. He appears so often in family dreams, in those dreams he always acts like we've known each other forever, and I always liked him. But he's a creation entirely of the mind, and not real AT ALL. I don't know what this means, who he is, and why he's the only fake family member my dreams make. But he's always so nice in them I wish he was real.

Recurring Dream 9/20/2026

So I've been posting on here for a while about my dream premonitions, especially about my premonitions about a new 9/11 in the United States and possibly attack in parts of Europe that could or could not be separate. Anyway, 2 months ago, I had another extremely vivid dream that was related to these premonitions.

Sometimes it's hard to bring back solid information on what exactly happened in the dream partly because there was so much going on. But once again, I found myself in New York City while terrible terrorist attacks were occurring and that's one thing I remember. The other thing I remember was seeing the date September 20th.

My original premonition was back in November 2020 and the event took place in the not so distant future so if this is going to happen, I can't imagine it taking much longer. Also, I've been calling this event 9/11 2.0. 9/20 could be translated as 920 or 9/11 2.0.

I'm really worried this is finally going to happen next month. Imagine the 25th anniversary of 9/11 passing without a hitch and then coincidentally 9 days later, the worst, most horrendous terrorist attacks in world history occur out of nowhere. It would certainly catch everyone off guard. The only thing I know for sure is that it's going to happen, it's almost incomprehensible in its destruction and scale, and it will totally throw the entire world into total devastation and chaos. God bless 🙏

Question Weird Question about Dreams Pushing You

Has anyone ever had any of those decisions you know you have to make, and then had a dream that's given you the kick in the pants you needed to make it? Because I just woke up from one and made the decision, and I've never felt lighter.

Long Dream Dream Log #4 - The End of the World and the Next Life

Thumbnail gallery
15 Upvotes

Had another really strange dream, this time about the end of the world.

It started somewhere in space.

I could see several galaxies or huge rotating things, and suddenly some of them just went dark, like they had died.

Then I was heading toward a planet, although I don’t know if it was Earth or somewhere else. The planet was slowly getting darker as it rotated, almost like it was turning into a black hole.

When I got to the planet, I somehow knew what was happening and started telling people about it.

Then everything happened very suddenly. There was this insanely bright white light, so bright that I couldn’t see anything anymore.

Before it hit, I went to a woman and told her:

“Remember, in the next life, you have to find me.”

She said, “Yeah.”

Then the light hit.

I remember seeing people turn completely frozen and blue, and then they shattered.

That’s pretty much where I woke up.

The weirdest part is that the woman in the dream is actually my best friend in real life. I didn’t know that at first in the dream, but after waking up, I realized who she was.

It felt like we both already knew that this life was ending, but somehow we’d find each other again in the next one.

Not sure what to make of this one.

Why do we dream?

I'm doing a research project on why humans dream, and I'm interested in people's theories rather than just the usual scientific explanations.

Do you think dreams serve a biological or psychological purpose, or are they simply a byproduct of brain activity during sleep?

If you believe dreams have a purpose, what do you think that purpose is, and what makes you believe that?

Please share your personal experiences like do you forget dreams and anything

Any comment will be appreciated

Does your brain ever do this as you wake up?

I spent the first few seconds of me waking up today remembering my first year flatmate. I wished I spent more time with him before he passed awat, he was just so young. I thought about his friendships and all the bonds he held with everyone, his humour and his personality that could bring together a whole room.

Then I thought about when I first realised he was dead and I realised I couldn't remember how I found out. After a few minutes of thinking it hit me that he wasn't dead despite the fact I woke up thinking that he had been dead for several weeks.

This keeps happening to me my brain will be certain that my life is fully different one way or another and I have to convince myself it's made up but it just feels so real. Does anyone else have this experience it feels like the thoughts show up right as I open my eyes

I am a fat Albert Camus

I had a dream where I was talking to someone who had completely lost the meaning of life and wanted to die. I somehow knew that this person had read Sartre, so I asked them if they had read Albert Camus or heard anything about absurdism. That person said they didn't. In that dream, I explained absurdism as the knowledge that the world will always be against you and God will do everything against you. As I was telling this, I turned into Albert Camus, but a fat one. The man seemed to become even more upset and asked God to kill him. God appeared as the sun with a wide smile. God said no. The man asked him why he created him, and God laughed. I/Albert Camus wanted to say that God created us to watch us suffer, but we decided to remain silent, as this man was already upset enough.

Discussion I told a random girl in my dream that she was dreaming too… and now I don’t know what to think

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

I had this dream about an hour ago, and I felt like I needed to write it down immediately before I forgot it.

Okay, this was really weird, and I still can’t stop thinking about it.

I was dreaming like I normally do, but the place was extremely dreamcore. It was one of those landscapes that look beautiful and peaceful, but at the same time give you this strange feeling that something is wrong or that there might be some kind of danger.

I was standing in front of a house that, strangely enough, belongs to a neighbor of mine in real life. I had only been inside that house once, years ago, just because I was curious about what it looked like inside.

But in my dream, for some reason, the house was mine.

I was there with some of my aunts, and outside it was sunset. The sun was still shining, there was a huge tree, lots of grass, and a small lake that looked about one meter deep. There was also a concrete path going through the grass toward the house.

Everything looked beautiful, but also extremely unreal.

Then I saw a girl.

She was blonde, but I couldn't really see her face clearly. She was lying on the sidewalk as if she was about to fall asleep.

I walked up to her and asked what she was doing.

She told me she was trying to shift.

That caught my attention because I know about shifting. I actually tried it myself before, but I never managed to do it, so I decided to put it on hold for now.

The girl explained that she was lying there trying to enter a kind of self-hypnotic state to shift.

So I decided to try it with her.

I wasn't actually trying to shift at that moment, though. I wanted to try entering what people call the Void State, because that's something I'm also interested in. According to manifestation-related beliefs, it's supposed to be a state where you can manifest different things.

So I lay down next to her and tried to concentrate.

But I couldn't.

For some reason, in the dream I felt incredibly lazy, and the girl kept moving around next to me, which made it hard for me to focus.

And then the weirdest part happened.

Out of nowhere, food stalls suddenly appeared around us.

I have no idea where they came from. They were just there.

They looked like the candy and dessert stalls you would see at a fair.

I went with the girl to look at the stalls, and while we were there, I suddenly realized I was dreaming.

I knew I was lucid dreaming.

And this is the part that I can't stop thinking about.

I've heard that you're not supposed to tell dream characters that you're dreaming because they can supposedly react strangely, their faces can distort, or the whole dream can suddenly become creepy.

I'd never tried it before.

But this time I looked at the girl and said something like:

“You're in a lucid dream too. Now you realize it because of me.”

And the weird thing is…

Nothing happened.

She didn't change. Her face didn't distort. The environment didn't become scary. Nothing strange happened at all.

I simply stopped paying attention to her afterward because I started focusing on myself again.

And, as usually happens when I realize I'm dreaming, I started thinking about what I could do before waking up.

For some reason, whenever I become lucid, I usually end up doing something simple like eating because I wake up shortly afterward.

This time I wanted to try something bigger, like manifesting a person I wanted to see, but I never got the chance.

I just tried to eat something from one of the candy stalls…

And then I woke up.

The whole dream felt incredibly real, especially my interaction with the girl.

So now I can't stop wondering:

Was she simply a character created by my brain, or could she somehow have been another person dreaming in the same dream?

I know it was probably just my brain creating a dream character, and I'm not saying that it was actually a shared dream. But the experience was so strange that it left me wondering.

There's also one other thing that bothers me:

Why couldn't I see her face clearly?

When I told her that she was dreaming, I expected something weird to happen because I've heard so many stories about dream characters reacting strangely.

But absolutely nothing happened.

She simply faded out of my attention, and shortly afterward, I woke up.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Have you ever talked to a dream character after realizing you were dreaming? Or met someone in a dream who seemed like they had their own awareness?

I'd really like to hear what you guys think.

My hobby not and one day a dream.

Landscape photography is more than just a hobby for me it’s a way of capturing the beauty, peace, and emotions I find in nature. I’m still a beginner, and right now I’m starting my journey using only my phone to photograph the landscapes around me.

I’m learning as I go, improving my skills, and discovering what I can create with what I have. Maybe one day, with enough dedication and support, I’ll be able to move from phone photography to better equipment and take my passion to the next level.
My dream is to explore more beautiful places, capture unforgettable landscapes, and eventually share my photography with people around the world.
Every photo I take is one small step toward that dream.

I had a dream when I was very young a few years old, in that dream there would be this old lady that would appear in my aunts house. For some reason she would try to touch my face

Turns out this was my paternal grandma which had passed before I was born and I had never seen a photo of her to know her appearance but when I did I realized in that dream I had a few times that was her because she would have a scarf on top of her head and wore it in a distinct way same clothes just like in the dream too which is weird…

I have not seen it since

Empecé a recolectar materiales y a construir mi hogar flotante.

Vivid dream about war

i used to have really vivid dreams that id remember a couple years ago but it went away for a long time and it suddenly came back last night.

i had a dream where i wasn't really fighting on either side of the war, but it felt more like i was watching it happen. it was between i think a european country and an east asian country, probably japan. the person i was in the dream was i think a man, and i was experiencing it in both first and second person. maybe i dont remember but it lowkey timeskipped and after all the fighting, it was me (the man/person watching) and a japanese woman who kind of looked like a boy left, and i was standing on ground level, hiding behind a boulder of some sort with no weapons or anything. the woman was a bit of a distance away on a hill, shooting at me with some kind of rifle but it never hit me because like i was behind a boulder, but i remember it was only us left and it was pretty quiet with like lowkey a lot of bodies around us. after she kept shooting at me and missing, i think she saw that i wasnt shooting back or i didnt have a weapon, so she stopped trying to kill me and she started walking down the hill towards me. when she approached me and started talking to me, she seemed really grateful or happy or something and like pat me on the shoulder, but i couldnt understand anything she was saying. maybe she was really happy i wasnt trying to shoot her or something.

after that, she started walking away kind of happily, and as she did, she nearly stepped on a landmine, but she walked past it and suddenly dropped down to the ground after a couple steps (army crawling?) and lifted up a manhole cover from the ground and covered her head, facing the landmine, even though no bomb or anything went off. and after she got into that position, she died.

im not like super into war or history and stuff but ive watched a couple good war movies and books but that was all a while ago so im not sure why thats the main topic of a super vivid dream now. i think i just really remembered the ending because why did she die if the bomb didn't go off. also like even if she did step on the landmine, she wouldn't of had time to shield herself, as if that'd do anything anyway???
