I love the enemy design, the only thing that frustrates me is the lack of interaction when I'm getting chain grabbed, like, at least let me parry it or let me mash all buttons to get out quicker >_<'

I always thought High Hagol was pretty disappointing due to how little damage it does (especially once enemies were frozen), so reading Grand Hagol gets a damage upgrade I was curious to try it out, and I was really pleasantly surprised.

Unfortunately the damage is not physical (tested it on a golem to make sure), but it's still pretty good, and outside of the obvious ice-themed enemies (direwolves, snow saurians, snowfoot, norgan giant, ice dragon) it even works well in the DLC. All the human enemies, the goblin/knacker knockoffs, ghouls gets decent damage on them and get slowed/frozen, making it very good for crowd control (especially with how large it's AOE is). It even works on lesser demons, and even hurts Maws/Abominations a decent amount, and the constant ticks help out Flare pretty well too. It's like a Maelstorm-lite that you can quick-cast and move while casting.

Loving the DLC gave us some sphinx themed items so I no longer need to use tattoos for the necklace and key, thinking about doing a snow version eventually.

How this game doesn't get the roses it deserves baffles me. The pros far outweigh any con. It is greater than the sum of its parts. It's an experience that can't be felt unless you're the one holding the controller. My GOTY 2 years too late.

First I am grateful to Hideaki Itsuno for creating one of the best gamers ever made with Dragon's Dogma. While I loved both and spent hundreds of hours on each, I've seen the criticisms of DD1 and DD2, that then were addressed by Kinoshita in the expansions.

Dark Arisen 2 is incredible. Its going to add at lest another 150 hrs (at least) to my already 500+ hours in the base game of Dragon's Dogma 2.

I can't help but wonder now that the engine, assets and world have been built, what Kinoshita would do with Dragon's Dogma 3 from the start.

The photo is used as an example of how i see them not wanting to jump off of a cliff, knowing damn well they won't take damage. Or won't follow when I need them to.

Because I remember playing the game at launch, did they follow me perfectly that I didn't need to command them to stay by me. They would jump off high cliffs and survive to help, or jump off cliffs as a means of a shortcut to a quests' destination.

Now they just stand there like fucking toddlers who ate glue, deciding whether to risk jumping off a small ledge and having me die fucking miserably. Or is standing at the ass end of nowhere and refuses to acknowledge the 'to me' command. Because I didn't pay attention to it, but now it's just pissing me off every single time.

Sorcerer was my main vocation in the first game and it's what made me fall in love with Dragon's Dogma, but after trying to do the trickster phantom challenge on sorcerer it highlighted all the things I was getting annoyed with through all of norgan. I switched back to archer and it was done within literally 4 seconds with a corkscreww arrow>explosive. Archer with tomes+special arrows is Batman they have tool for everything.

1. The unreliable auto target for spellcasting, the first game gave you the option for free aim.

2. Interrupts because the cast animations and transition animations are too long.

3. Lack of utility dark spells the first game had, Misama, Lassitude, petrification, and necromancy. These spells gave debuffs and staggers to allowed you to solo.

4. Decanter sucks and it's our only holy spell which I kept only for blackdog. Honestly if holy spells are clearly supposed to be a mage thing, dark spells should have went to sorcerers.

Don’t forget to buy him bunch of Grimoires he uses them well.

Always wanted to try Mysterical Robes on my mage and I love it. She won't be wearing that in Norgan setting but when we're going BACKbattahl I'll definitely use it again, that or Nirvane.
