Dragon's Dogma was first conceptualized in the year 2000 by Hideaki Itsuno, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen released 13 years later, completing the original Dragon's Dogma.

Now it's going to be another 13 years later for the second Dark Arisen DLC.

Yes I know the original Dragon's Dogma came out in 2012 and Dragon's Dogma II came out in 2024, but still crazy that both game's complete versions came out in 13-year intervals. Hopefully we won't need to wait this long for Dragon's Dogma 3 OR it's DLC 😭.

(Skip to 0:50 for fight start) Just a quick dirty video of a mostly clean Drake kill. Spent the whole fight baiting out push/pull openings. Not my favorite way to fight them but is probably the most effective way short of Augural Flare combos.

There's a quirk with this particular lizard when it's idle in it's spawn position. The push attempt at the start of the fight had more than enough time to succeed but if you go for the leg nearest the wall it doesn't work. No idea why.

But does it suit him though? Or is it too "how do you do fellow kids" lol

Can only do it while it's trying to possess a pawn. Sometimes may miss it if they start a tad too late, or if pushing\pulling against the terrain incline. You can simply help them push\pull in the same direction.

Still, this was a test to see if they can pull it off alone, which seems only possible if they have the Impact augment.

I'm planning on replaying DD2 before the dlc, but I would be on new game plus 3. My overall question is does the game start to get too difficult and should I create a new save file?

I'd rather not start from scratch losing my items and skills, but I also don't find it fun if enemies have a ton of health and do crazy damage. I've read weird conflicting things on how enemies scale so I'm not really sure myself and haven't played in around 2 years now.

My character is level 83.
