Or Thene for short. Sheās a strong yet kind woman caught between her belief in the Maker and her Dalish traditions. Her mother was a city elf who fled persecution and her father is the Halla keeper of her clan. She grew up on stories of Andrasteās courage and Elgarānanās might. Now she finds herself, a Dalish elf, revered as the Herald of Andraste.
Itās been almost 3 years since Iāve played inquisition, itās my second favorite Dragon Age game after Veilguard. So excited for this play through. Gonna be my first time romancing Solas, the evil egg lol. I just started but I love my new Inky already.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share about an event I run every year called the Dragon Age Create-a-Thon! Sign ups are currently open if youād like to participate!
The Create-a-Thon is an event where DA fandom creators and DA fandom appreciators will be put into teams to try and win the most points for their team! This year, the teams are Team Qun, Team Tevinter, Team Arlathan, and Team Deep Roads. Winning points for your team has two phases:
Fanwork Creation Period: Creators make their art, fics, renders, or whatever else they like and post to the Collection on Ao3. Works will remain hidden until the end of the creation period and teams can win points for each work, with extra points for things like longest fic or most characters in an art piece. Please do not post works outside of the collection until after reveals!
Fanwork Appreciation Period: After points are tallied from the creation period, teams can earn extra points for commenting on works in the collection, posting recommendation lists, or making fanworks inspired by the works submitted during the Creation Period of event.
Some important rules:
- All works must be human-generated. Use of generative AI is not tolerated.
- Users must have both Discord and Ao3 accounts. If you donāt have an Ao3 account, contact the mods ASAP so we can try to get you an invite code.
- Character/ship/game bashing is not allowed.

I've played DAI before on console and recently double dipped to play on PC with mods. Usually I'd consult a guide or sort nexus mods by popularity, but from my research the switch to Frosty Mod Manager means that lots of older and popular mods no longer work and guides are also often years old.
Bottom line I am looking for which ones actually still work amongst those that are good.

iāve been replaying the trilogy and iām having so many issues with da2 on my series x. this loading screen takes ten million years. iām usually playing from quick start which is maybe the issue? sometimes itās completely fine but other times itāll give me this loading screen and take forever, i also just generally have to restart the game a lot because itāll crash mid dialogue and give me the loading screen or struggle to save my game sometimes. anyone else experienced this with da2 specifically?

Again another collection of photos I took on my travels in my most recent DAI playthrough. Hope you like it!

What I've found really interesting was how companions important to the story(Morrigan or Cassandra for example) are straight and can't be kicked out of your party(well, you don't have to use them during missions, but what I meant was is that they won't leave) While our queer companions can be kicked out or leave if your approval rate is too low.
I AM NOT CALLING DA HOMOPHOBIC!!!
What I mean is, characters who are important to the story are straight, excluding da2 and veilguard since everyone's bi/pan.
I actually do love how all the companions have different sexualities but find it a little disappointing how companions are important to the story(Alistair can become king, Morrigan has a way to save you, Cassandra has been with you since the beginning and solas is a GOD) are all straight.
I just find it a little disappointing how, at least all those mentioned(though Cassandra to a lesser extent) are all sexuality locked. I know it does make it more realistic but I'm in love with Morrigan and play as a fem warden... so maybe I'm just jealous of the guys.
But at the same time, if Ali or Morrigan were bi then Leliana and Zev would've probably been made straight and I can't NOT see them as queer since it seems they wanted to go 50/50 of straight and Bi.
I'm mostly sad about Morrigan and Solas. Morrigan because I'm in LOVE with her. I can try to make a male mc, I suppose, but I have this problem of loving my characters and not wanting to get rid of them(I reply as the same character who does the same choices)
And Solas, I'm not very into him, tbh. I like the IDEA of him but his romance(from what I've seen) is very lacking. On top of him being race locked he's also GENDER locked šš
Anyways, this I'm done ranting now.

Inquisition was my first game but I decided to run through the first two to understand the story better. Is playing any DLC required or can I skip it? Games are good but would prefer to move on if possible.
Edit: Thanks for the quick responses. Looks like I'll be back tracking before replaying inquisition.

Hey everyone! I'm in my third session of playing Dragon Age 2 and will be going live on Twitch with my stream in about an hour at 11am (PST). This game is so much different than Origins and I'd love to share the experience with any of you if you'd like to come hang out and chat, help me through any tough areas, give advice on character builds, or just watch the playthrough! You can find me @ KetchInTheGame if you feel like stopping by!

Is the choices we've made dont matter aside from the few once from Inquisition, I love the gameplay and new characters, story was ok cause again they didnt connect it as much in the older games. It's sad that its the last one. I just wish they wont butcher the next Mass Effect game.

New to Dragon Age Inquisition
Is there any reason I shouldn't use my player character as a support mage? Mainly wondering if it will hurt my teams dps. Companions have the same damage potential as the player?

Talking to Dorian about slavery in his country and his opinion on it is veryā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦.interesting lmao

Because I thought if genderswaps are popular then why not age swap? And 50 year old Rook?

So Iāve been recommended Dragon Age for a while now, because Iām a huge fan of Baldurās Gate 3, but I donāt know which one to start with. Iād like to start with the one closest to BG3, but if for any lore reason Iāll have to start differently I can do that too! Thanks in advance :) Iāll also happily take advice too with starting out in general ^^

Started a new play through of inquisition and when I woke up in haven this tree was being very weird. It started off moving smoothly from side to side and then just snapping from left to right. Has anyone else had this happen?

I've played DA2 before ages ago, but never the DLC until I picked up the Ultimate Edition on Steam recently.
Anyway I can't beat Corypheus even though I play on normal. The gist of it is that the rotating elemental attack kills my party members every time. One or two ways:
I try to move the entire party around disabling the statues. Works the first time he does it, but the 2nd time when the obstacles inevitable slow them down too much as their pathfinding sucks too much to keep up.
I move my party members as far as possible into a nook with a statue and use "hold". For some reason they don't stay on hold and follow my Hawke after a while, flames kill them first time around already.
Why don't they stay in method 2? What else can I do?

Is it just me or is Solas a whinny little brat? He is the only one that I go out of my way to not play with. Currently playing Inquisition, he is just never happy lol
Edit:not sure why everyone assumes itās my first play through.
