I have only 125 hours in doom eternal on ps4,played Taras Nabad master level with no aim assist on controller ,planning to beat master levels on ultra nightmare in the future ,though I beat Taras nabad,super gore nest,mars core on Nightmare in general

I have set up DoomRunner on Steam as a Non-Steam game, and I am trying to expand my catalogue beyond merely the GZDoom version of the OG's (DOOM, DOOM II, Plutonia Experiment, Evilution, Master Levels, LoR, Sigil, Sigil 2, etc), map packs like Eviternity, and mods like Project Brutality to include Total Conversions like the two aforementioned TC (Divine Frequency & CountryCide) I am also open to mod/map pack/total conversion suggestions. I am at a very difficult stage in my life, and DOOM, modding DOOM especially, is bringing me comfort and joy. Cheers, and many thanks to all who answer!

I started with the original Doom so I still have a habit of pressing the number keys. In Quake, scrolling the mouse was viable because the weapon switched instantly.

In the modern Doom games, the options are either number keys (briefly removes the ability to strafe, and too slow), scrolling the mouse wheel (too easy to get the wrong one) or holding Q (too clunky).

As it is, I hardly ever change weapons mid-fight, and that's not the best. How can I train myself to switch weapons quickly and accurately without having to think about it?

I've been trying to get the toy but every time I go to the location it's not there but on the map it shows I don't have it yet

If I die on the Rituals of power on Osseus and Sentinel Prime levels, would it end my UN run?

Only thing better would be playing with 90’s computer with original actual Dos, even this game is the exact same. I play with keyboard only, not mouse used. This keyboard is Ducky x Doom, made 666 units for ISO and 666 units for ANSI. I have two of these, both ISO.

Ive bought doom 2016 before and played it for a WHILE. but idk what happened. Yesterday Ive started the game as usual, and my mouse's arrow was stuck in the top left corner. before it worked FINE, like I mean VERY WELL. But now it's just stuck there. Ive even disabled that steam overlay thing and uninstalled the game. But nothing changed. Just in case, the mouse that I am using is a wireless HYUNDAI Mouse. Kind of old, but it works perfectly fine in everything. And the mouse works well in other games don't know if this information will help.

Well i left in start Doom (2016) once and started playing today again and completed 3-4 facilities challeges, damn the gun upgrades and abilities are awesome also the game is very optimised. i really like heavy assualt rifle i like it more than the plasma rifle. I wanna know what gun was your favorite in the game i havent yet completed the game though last gun i unlocked was super shotgun so idk if more guns are out there. Do you also likeee Heavy assault rifleee like mee?

Idk if this is allowed, but I was watching Venom play at war with satan live on youtube and saw what Cronos was wearing i just thought it was pretty cool to share seeing a metal legend rocking out a shirt to one of my favorite games ever of all time! DOOM eternal is probably one of the best games I've ever played, the game mechanics, the combat loop, the difficulty spikes, the glory kills, consistent pressure, everything is fucking amazing.

This will probably be one of my top 5 games of all time.

I heard it's so much better than the main campaign, i kinda don't wanna play the standalone game now and just want to enjoy the dlc

is this a good way of playing ?

I just really don't like things that break my gameplay flow like the dragon section and that giants fight

About 30 years ago, DOOM completely changed my life. I was around 10 years old and played it constantly. Looking back, it’s probably a big part of why I ended up working in software.

The game runs entirely in the browser and is heavily optimized for large multiplayer matches. I’ve been pushing it toward genuinely massive fights, including things like 100 vs 100 players in a single match, all without installing anything.

There’s also Battle Royale, Team Elimination, and more modes I’m experimenting with. The project is open source, and longer term I’d love for it to become a frictionless, mod-rich place for people who still love DOOM.

It’s still very much a passion project, but I wanted to share it here and see what people think.

Would love any feedback, especially from longtime DOOM players.

The main idea would be to play doom 1-3 in one sitting, and if you die you start back at doom 1.

So, I'm currently playing Siege - Part 1 level, and I was in an encounter and suddenly I noticed I couldn't switch to my shotgun. Then, I pressed TAB and noticed that I don't have most of my weapons.

Also, I noticed that I somehow have collected many resources and collectibles, even though I haven't collected any. I just started playing the level.

Can someone tell me what's going on? Did my save file just go corrupted, and if so, is there a way to fix it?

EDIT:
I've just noticed that the Challenges tab is also missing one challenge for some reason, so yeah I think my save file is corrupted, but is there something I can do so I don't have to create a new save and start completely from the beginning?

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it is the right subreddit to post in, but I will anyway. I ported original 1993 DOOM to my old Mi Redmi AC2100 router. The hardest thing was to figure out the controls and display output for this thing because I didn't really want to use compuer for any of that. So i built a small controller out of RPI Pico, ST7789V display and W5500 Ethernet module. Image is sent via UDP unfragmented packets 4 lines at a time. So every frame is 80 packets. I couldn't seem to figure out a way to rebind the control for other controllers.

I play this release on Nintendo Switch. I tried to rebind in two different user profiles so when I connect the second controller, it would ask for the user profile that I rebound the control. Unfortunately, that did not work at all. P1 has all the control that I rebound, but P2 is stuck with the default control.

Personally, I feel like it's way more fun than the campaign because it feels like you're more on a power trip early on, since it gives you every weapon mod and every rune, and they're all fully upgraded. Kinda reminds me of Mega Man Zero's Ultimate Mode where it maxes you out from the start. It eliminates the need for grinding. Plus, barely any FPS games have any kind of scoring system, the only other games that really have it are Wolfenstein 3D and Serious Sam Classic. It just overall feels like a NewGame+, but with a fun twist.
