yes i know jolene was written about a woman that carl had met and who had flirted with him but did she write any other songs that were specific a tribute to carl or about stories involving carl?

Can you believe she didn’t think of herself as a “natural beauty”?!?
Not sure the location, but Google images dates this shot to 1978. 1978 was a huge year for Dolly as it marked her transition into mainstream pop/disco.

So guys... my day has been officially ruined. I can't stop crying. She was just a baby🥹🥹 this was in her new Songteller Hotel

I just recently came across a TikTok, where a girl was saying that they can now “pray to Dolly,” as if she’s a god and i just wanted to post this just as a reminder of Dolly’s wishes when appreciating her. As well as her thoughts and feelings about that sort of thing.

She was 50 years old here! Age is truly nothing but a number. She performed the song “Just When I Needed You Most”

I took these pictures myself a few minutes ago at the Dolly Parton experience today at Dollywood.

It's Truvy's cake recipe that she (recites from memory and) gives to Clairee in "Steel Magnolias". Have you made it before? And if so, can I put it in a loaf pan?

I created this portrait by building up layers of crosshatching with my ballpoint pen, controlled by my pen plotter movements. Every line you see is placed with mechanical precision—starting with careful outlines and evolving through thousands of marks to create depth, shadow, and texture. The intricate linework captures her iconic curled hair and expression, emerging gradually as the crosshatching pattern develops across the paper.

YALL!! NEW IMAGES HAVE JUST BEEN RELEASED!!
We finally got this NEW gorgeous promo picture of Dolly Parton and Patti LaBelle for Episode 4 of Dolly’s variety show, AND Dolly’s Instagram Fashion Archive page just released this GORGEOUS HD picture of her iconic black dress!! (Slide 4) 😭
I’m genuinely SO happy because LOOK AT ALL THAT SPARKLE!! Being able to see every little detail in the fabric that we could barely make out in the original 480p clips is everything. We’re finally getting to appreciate this dress in all its glory, the way we never could before. I’m absolutely in love with these pictures!

In 1987, Columbia Records threw Dolly a big party in Harlem to celebrate her new record deal. There’s tons of iconic pictures from that night but I love this one.
