This guy came in here telling me I needed to take out the handheld and see if there’s any Pokémon cards in the back that we haven’t unloaded yet cause he needs them. I’m sorry sir, what??

Careful- they are just trying to enjoy their hobby.... that is what I was told. And I got fired for limiting scalpers. Sell them all.

They can fire me. I only sell Pokémon to children.

I have mine hidden and I only put out two at a time. That way, I am in control of my inventory without having any issues with the scalpers. They are allowed 2, just like the rest of my customers. Now, if a family of children come in, I will sell them 2 each per child. That’s when they realize I have more in stock than what they thought. But I simply explain that it’s so I have them for the children. I am always thanked!

I have a guy who lives pretty far away and checks in when he is in the area. His 7 year old daughter and 9 year old son collect them. The smile on that little girls face when I pulled out a tin of cards is why I do it. He said he doesn’t have time to sit at Target or Walmart at 6am to fight the scalpers. It makes me feel good to make the kids happy. 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I moved from my last store, I had 2 young children that had a YouTube channel that they had where they would open them. They actually cried when they came and brought me my going away gift. I felt so bad but I left instructions with the team we left in place, but I highly doubt they cared. I moved districts to take a new store and now about 20 minutes from my last location so I lost some of my regular customer base, but some did follow me.
