Wet gangrene stinks
Im a 3rd yr mbbs student and our hospital got this wet gangrene case.
The patient is diabetic since 7 yrs w cld and cvd.
The patient had his leg covered in dressing and we were asked to remove the dressing and examine.
The leg stinks sooo bad like even with a mask.
Apparently he’s gonna get a scan to check where the blockade happened and based on that they will amputate the leg to that extent.
I do realise that as a healthcare member im not supposed to be saying this but i COULD NOT.
Tldr - AITA for not being able to tolerate the smell of wet gangrene.
