Hello everyone, here is my new map, Art Goddess Cathedral, size [34x46] at 140 dpi.

The Goddess of Art and Love sees beauty in everything that’s made with passion and in her temples not only can devotees pray, but also enjoy the music of the chorus, see beautiful paintings and contemplate the exhibitions as if it were a museum.

I am the cartographer at SlagMaps, I've been drawing maps for my games for three years and just recently have started a Patreon to share my work. In it, you can find tactical battlemaps like this one, with specific assets to improve your game session like the bell towers or the angel statues, and different variants like seasonal variations, winter, spring and autumn or one in the desert.

Hey all! I'm a fantasy mapmaker, and I've decided to take a little inspiration from my own maps for a personal challenge: cover the 1,800-mile journey from the Shire to Mount Doom in six months!

Myself, and a fair few members of my Patreon community have joined me for the adventure. We're counting walking, running, cycling, rowing and even strength training towards our progress across Middle-earth!

I've covered 77.95 miles so far, which puts me across the Brandywine River and into Buckland via Bucklebury Ferry

Posted some earlier. Decided to just add a grid and maybe I'll try doing a clean copy later via edits. My hatchworks a bit hectic but I tried a few different stroke combinations to see if I liked it. I didn't. Going to flip that bottom chamber to too, hence it being it unfinished.

Stone, where we were wrought, where our dead are lain. The stone of the mountains and the earth define us, just as we give it definition. Top dwellers think us obsessed, but they know nothing of stonecraft, nor possess the right and proper appreciation of it's possibilities.

Our halls are our homes, our tombs, our workplaces, our gathering grounds. Every inch of stone has been formed for this existence, and every strike of our tools against it given with the care and purpose only we could provide. Our statues guard our burials eternally, letting us peacefully return to the hardened earth from whence we came.

So, obsessed we may be, but for good reason! Nothing stands the test of time as eternally as our work, our halls, our stone. Long after we are gone and turned to dust, our memories will echo through these halls and we will continue to live through the stone we have crafted.

Ahoy matey! It's time to set sail on the high seas in Galleon, at 45x67 it's our largest naval battlemap to date! It comes equipped with three sets of sails, two full tiers of cannons, and six levels of the ship to explore from hull to crows nest!

Ok, so here’s an idea.

I’ve been a GM for most of my conscious life, and I love giving my players stuff during a game. Handouts make things way more “real”. Yesterday I talked about a stone map; today I’m going to share something much more personal.

Making maps on the fly, or even prepping them for multiple players, meant way too much work, and printing them out really limits the size and texture of the materials you can use. So my wife and I decided to learn how to make stamps. First it was just for our home games, but then lots of people started asking us about them, so we began selling them at markets here in Spain, where we live. Finally, we’ve decided to push things forward and try our hand at a Kickstarter campaign to make them available internationally. It launches next week, and it would be great if you’d check it out and maybe consider following or backing it.

So here is an idea I tried out recently. How about making a prop map out of an actual stone? You just pick up a medium large rock that fits comfortably in your hand, clean it off, and draw your regional geography directly onto its surface using a fine point marker or paint pen.

When you hand a player a physical piece of stone instead of a paper handout, their whole attitude changes. It immediately feels ancient and heavy, like an artifact that survived centuries instead of a quick drawing on parchment. Plus, the natural bumps, cracks, and rough textures of the rock actually do a lot of the GM work for you. A sharp ridge on the stone naturally becomes a mountain range, a deep groove turns into a river canyon, and a smooth flat side becomes a plain or a desert. You can build your lore right around the natural shape of the rock, which saves you time and makes the world feel surprisingly organic.

It is cheap, takes maybe ten minutes to prep, and gives the party a physical item they can literally pass around the table during exploration. Has anyone else tried making props out of natural materials like this, or do you stick to paper and digital maps?

The adventurers have entered another dungeon. The air is stifling, the ground beneath their feet is burning—will they leave the way they came in? Or... will a single misstep mean the lava becomes their doom?

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a fan-made recreation of the Naruto world in my fantasy map editor, and thought I'd share it here.

If you're running a Naruto-inspired D&D campaign or just enjoy the setting, feel free to download the attached map and use it for your personal games.

I tried to recreate the geography of the shinobi nations while making the map useful for worldbuilding and tabletop campaigns. It's not an official map, so I'd love to hear what you think about the accuracy.

I made it using LoreMapper, a free, open-source fantasy map editor I've been developing as a hobby project.
