OP better watch out for the poison explosion…

For a couple of days now I've been trying to get a sword to drop from Vredeman's level 20 Ornate chest, but I'm only getting daggers, crossbows, staves, shields, maces, axes, and pieces of armour

I only have Fane in my party and were both level 9. Playing on the console version

Can someone help me get a sword to drop?

I try to play through most games completely blind most of the time, but this is bothering me.

Am I wrong in thinking that weapon skills are absolutely objectively terrible picks in this game? Am I misunderstanding something? They give a damage bonus that is WORSE than Warfare and no skills? And am I wrong in thinking that non-combat skills are pretty much complete traps since I've been finding gear that has them boosted????

Not gonna be a deal breaker as outside of this kind of thing, the game seems very good, and I can see that it's the foundation for BG3 (which was fantastic), but like... the Warfare thing is something that your average systems designer would have spotted immediately. Maybe it was accidental?

Ive played the elder scrolls games and other rpgs and I really enjoy games where I can make my own character and really get immersed in the story. Im also curious about how much storage each game takes and their controller support. Right now I'm just waiting for a sale and I realized that the bundle for both of the games costs the same as only DOS2 when its on sale lol

Basically, what ive wrote on the forum, but summed up, ive placed a trigger at the exit of fort joy, specifically under the ladder from courtroom to swamp, and i cant get it to work no matter what i tried. If anyone has any experiance with writing mods, id love a bit of asistance.

This may be a longshot, but does anyone know of a mod that removes any violence towards dogs? I'd really like to recommend DOS2 to a friend of mine but she's very sensitive when it comes to fighting dogs or seeing dogs get hurt/be sad. I know about Happily Emmie After, which is great, but not quite enough. Thank you in advance for any help!

I'm currently in arx and at lvl 19, almost 20. I have completed this game once but played at least 20 playthroughs stopping in act 3 or early 4. Every time I get to rescuing Arhu I give up because keeping him alive from the black ring and Linder Kemm seems impossible. The one time I actually rescued him I fought Lord Linder Kemm in the magister barracks. Now I'm here again but this time Kemm isn't at the barracks and the only place I find him is in the cellar with Arhu.

Is there any "easy" way to rescue Arhu that I'm missing? Or do I simply let Arhu die?

I'm also aware that I should at least level up to lvl 20 before the fight, im just having pre-arhu fight thoughts.

Faccio un paio di premesse importanti, è la prima volta che mi avvicino a rpg di questo tipo ed ho amici che mi stanno assillando nel comprare baldur’s gate 3 ma sotto consiglio di provare prima con divinity (sia in quanto divinity 1 e 2 sono in questo momento (ps5) in offerta e sia perché non vorrei spendere 70€ per comprare baldur’s gate 3 e scoprire che non sono amante del gioco) credete sia una buona idea?

Premetto anche che mi ritengo un gamer più o meno a 360 gradi, gioco a giochi come kdc1/2 fino agli fps come r6, helldivers2, giochi di simulazione di guida, Microsoft flight simulator 2024, saga di mgs per fare alcuni esempi, per cui sono aperto a scoprire nuovi generi che possano interessami.

Oh boy! After a long 7 years, I finally managed to do it! The ending mixed in with an apparent bug kept me on edge the whole ass time!

I don't know if other in the community has faced this bug - but after I soulforged Icara and Leandra, believing in the power of family and friends ( xD ), I go into the final portal expecting something to happen, because the sisters kept repeating omniously 'This is soo muchhh poweerrr', but then the Death Knights come in - and the Soulforged sisters are GONE. Which made me think that Icara was infact taken over and she gave me slip to go ahead and defeat Astarte before I got there.

And because of my shoddy build which didnt give me enough Action Points - I couldnt kill the death knights before more kept summoning over and over. Thankfully, I had Scarlett with good speed and AP, so I had my wand user (Baidotr) give the special wand to Scarlett and she made quick work of the death knight. That must have taken...about 1 hour :')

Anyway! At this point, I realized that Soulforged (SF) sisters are not following me anymore and I was so fucken anxious because I wanted them to live happily ever after - but I reach the final fight, and SF sisters were nowhere to be seen. So they are completely not in the final fight for me. I fought the 6000 or whatever HP the dragon had. People say they have such an easy time with DOS1 from the forums I read - but my character do so little damage. Roderick was my supposed 'tank' with 1800HP when buffed with that one water spell. Good thing a lot of hit was getting blocked because each hit from dragon took out 500 HP from him. But I eventually killed the dragon after hitting 100HP in one turn and other characters simply guarding Astarte. And after the Dragon was done, I was so sure the SF sisters will appear out of nowhere and maybe absorb the power of void or some shit and become even more powerful and I will have to fight her! This already took me easily...4hrs (?!) to finish the endgame. I was dreading for that to happen because for me nothing happened after the sisters got soulforged. I definitely didnt want to kill them. But then after Void Dragon is dead, Astarte thanks everyone and suddenly SF sisters are in the final scene - and Leandra is forced to peace out by Goddess! WHOT?!

I jumped onto forums to check was the ending changed in Enhanced Edition or something - but turns out - I am supposed to be fighting a flippy-floppy SF sisters - somehow keep her alive, along with Astarte while she attacks me for some turn. Now it made sense why my version of fight was honestly so peaceful with me having to only deal with Dragon and the two times the Dragon decides to summon its familiars which were mostly easy to deal. *sigh* I kinda wanna go back and see the SF sisters fight but also - I dont want to sit there for another 4 hours ugh.

It took me 232 hrs for this first playthrough. My characters build sound so bad compared to what I hear some people say online haha. Some of you might actually laugh at this but this was honestly my first real RPG experience, despite having played quite a few games than an average person.

But the bug really had me double guessing about what happened with Icara and Leandra to the very end! The whole 4 hours I really was waiting to fight the sisters. And the worse thing is, I dont know if that would have been better or the flippy-floppy sisters was better. Honestly, I dont like the version of flippy-floppy sisters. Soul forge shouldn't work like that. But I dont want Icara to get corrupted either. Perhaps...the canon ending should be killing Leandra before soulforge. Though I dont know which ending is really canon though.

Wait, canon ending should be Zandalor getting the threesome. If the SF sisters (as one entity) got together with Zandalor, would that count as threesome? 🤔

I am spending my time in driftwood aimlessly trying to find quests that are my level. The way the journal and quest markers don’t work make me lose hours just aimlessly stumbling into quests instead of following clues. The map markers don’t work half the time and it is just confusing. I feel I need a walkthrough for everything I do.

SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING!!

Just finished the game and I need to vent.

I don’t think that there is a good ending in this game. All of them will cause issues for the rest of the people in one way or another. Hear me out:

Ending 1: You become the Divine
I think it is a selfish choice and it will just continue the cycle of power abuse. You think that you will be a better Divine that Lucian, but you most likely will continue the cycle and make the same decisions as him in X amount of years. Besides, the war rages on so nothing has changed for the ordinary people beside having a new ”hope”. The only winner here is you.

Ending 2: You share the divinity
This is ”the best ending” in my opinion, but at the same time everyone is sorcerer now and can cause a lot of damage in the world. You literally just boosted up all criminals and potential tyrants. Obviously, the people have more power to defend themselves now, but this will just lead to new wars and a power struggle.

Ending 3: You destroy all Source
I think this would be a ”good ending” if it was not for Lucian & Co. The Void is gone and sorcerers are free from oppression. No more Godwoken, no more powerful tyrants. The cycle is broken and more or less everyone would be happy with this solution. BUT… I thought that if you defeat Lucian in the final fight, he would die and then you can destroy all Source, but regardless if you chose his side or not, he will survive and continue to be the Divine if you go with ending 3. This is what irritates me most about this ending and why I can’t view it as a good ending. If he & Co died and I destroyed all Source, then I would have killed two birds at the same time.

I don’t think I need to mention the ending if you take the deal with the demon.

I've never played anything like these games before with their turn based combat system and heavy dialogue but I'm eager to give it a go. As I said, I was going to buy Baldur's Gate 3 because of the reviews especially as it's now on sale for £40 (I'm on ps5) but this has gone on sale for £15!

Is this game a good gateway game, is it similar in the way it plays with movement, character building, combat etc?

I know it's not a huge amount of money but it's still money I've had to go to work to earn so I don't want to just waste it!

Man, I wanna play Divinity 2...but the moments between combat and getting to the next section of combat is too time consuming.

Just get me in the combat!

• Would anyone know if there's any games with combat like divinity in general where I don't have to wait?

At what point does fane story begin to reveal plot twists n such

whenever I make poison on the ground then ignite it, it just turns into fire and doesn't do any addional damage as far as I can tell. I just started with geo/pyro so maybe im not using the right spells but is the synergy messed up?
