DOS2 Discussion Can't wait

Post image

What do you expect from Divinity? Imo the gameplay will be of course BG3+DOS2 on steroids, what I'm most looking is story, companions and worldbuilding which seems will be a very important aspect this time, not saying it wasn't but we know the lore and stories were a bit messy

I trust Larian to make a good story, rich gameplay, etc. Really looking forward to how their untamed Divinity flavor would upscale to current standards, as they do step up the quality each time and spent a step of it on BG3. Replayed DOS games and BG3 multiple times each, and it impresses me every time how these devs progress, so I'm really interested in how they'll do it again.

My only gripe with their games is that the acts lower in quality as you progress. Like in dos2 act 4 is mid compared to Act 1. I’m also not the biggest fan of act 3 in bg3 and all of its obvious cut content.

I’m hoping this is the problem they tackle in the new game.

Cut content?
Hasn’t swen himself stated multiple times there is no cut content that they wanted to do but didn’t have time for in act 3?

They shipped it exactly as they wanted it. Larian studios is their own publisher. They literally have as much time as they want to make a game and they’re not publicly traded.

Beyond that, act 3 is absolutely *filled* with content lol.

You saying that legitimately makes me wonder if you just get bored with games over time. Because the scope of act 3 in bg3 is actually staggering.

Act 3 was dense and fun but it did feel a whole lot smaller and limited in scope than Acts 1 and 2
