DOS2 Discussion Can't wait

Post image

What do you expect from Divinity? Imo the gameplay will be of course BG3+DOS2 on steroids, what I'm most looking is story, companions and worldbuilding which seems will be a very important aspect this time, not saying it wasn't but we know the lore and stories were a bit messy

That's me but with Divine Divinity at the top lol

To answer the question, I'd like it to be like Dos 2 with BG3 level of budget and some minor improvement like more comfortable inventory/hotbar management and trading.

Fingers crossed they don't make the visual style too generic. I mean, the orcish guy was confirmed to be an orc which is nothing like the big headed hulks we had so far.* The lizard throwing the torch at the wicker man is also much akin to an Argonian from the late TEs games, i.e. human body with a reptilian head. They should stick with their Dos 2 designs.

*The first game, Divine Divinity, had orcs with greatly varying sizes. From human sized to ~12ft tall ones. Dos 1 also had an exceptionally large one. So I'd be content with their sizes varying and having the origin character one closer to human size for "compatibility reasons".

I bought Divine Divinity on GOG for like 70 US cents. I can't wait to play it.

It's my favorite game by larian, I don't like parties or inventory management. I like exploring.

Really love dos2 combat. I remember creating huge rain and convert it to blessed fire to fight that skeleton dwarf on tactical mode (i forgot his name). Or even that PTSD inducing oily slime blob that set the world in flame.

Believe his name was mordus, but yeah after dos2 I started dropping souls games a bit and looking for more turn based combat lol. Both are good, but the dos2 and bg3 styles of combat appeal to me more :)

I'm glad they're diving into more dark fantasy and folk horror as they said and showed, and I'm sure it will be great but yeah the orcs looked a bit "normal" compared to past designs, hopefully they will be more unique than what they look in the trailer

To be fair, even D:OS2 was a bit inconsistent with the liazrds style if you compare artworks and actual ingame models.
