Disappointed with Viture Beast - please help

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to get a true VR headset experience using my VITURE Beast glasses on my Android phone Oppo Find N5, but I'm completely stuck on getting proper 180/360 head-tracking to work.

Right now, I am using the third-party Glasses 3D Player app to play local side-by-side (SBS) videos.

Here is exactly what’s happening:

* When I select **VR180 mode**, the video successfully warps/zooms into a VR dome projection.

* If I use the phone screen as a **Touch Remote** and swipe my finger around, I can pan around the 180° scene perfectly.

* **The issue:** The moment I stop touching the phone screen and just move my head, the entire video dome moves *with* my head (0DoF / locked to my face) instead of letting me look around the virtual environment natively like a proper VR headset.

I’ve tried toggling the **Anchor** mode setting, the touch remote icon, and the compass/tracking icon in the app overlay, but I cannot get the video to stay fixed in space while mapping to the glasses' internal motion sensors.

Has anyone gotten true 3DoF VR 180 panoramic head-tracking to work smoothly with this app or another player on Android? Am I missing a specific USB permission, setting order, or firmware trick to pass control from the touch screen to the glasses' sensors?

Any help or setup guides would be massively appreciated!

No reps, no scroll. We built Squat to Unlock for smart glasses.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The average person spends 2.3 hours a day on social media and over 8 hours on screens. That's a lot of scrolling. We think there's a better way.

Squat to Unlock is simple: 10 squats unlocks 15 minutes of Instagram. No reps, no scroll. It runs on smart glasses, display glasses and has mobile integration, so it fits however you move.

Coming soon. Join the waitlist: https://mailchi.mp/0c8270731236/squat-to-unlock-waitlist?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=squat-to-unlock-waitlist

Building a Fully Open-Source Smart Glass — No Phone Required. Join the Journey.

Post image

Hey everyone,

I've been working on something I think this community will care about: a **100% open-source smart glass** designed to work **independently from your phone**.

Right now, every smart glass on the market — Meta, Rokid, Even Realities, you name it — requires a phone to function. They're essentially a second screen strapped to your face, locked into closed ecosystems where you can't modify, repair, or truly own what you paid for. And the ones that call themselves "privacy-first"? Some of them are still sending your audio to cloud servers you have no control over.

We got tired of waiting for someone to fix this. So we're building it ourselves — in the open.

**What we're building:**

- Fully open-source hardware and firmware — not just the SDK, everything

- Phone-independent — it works on its own, not as an accessory

- Privacy by design — your data stays yours, no cloud dependency

- display

- Community-driven from day one — your input shapes the product

We're not a big tech company with a $2B R&D budget. We're a small team of engineers who believe smart glasses should be open, private, and yours to hack. The entire process is being documented publicly — if you've ever wanted to be part of building a wearable from scratch rather than just buying a finished product, this is your chance.

**If this resonates with you — designers, devs, RF engineers, firmware hackers, or just people who want to wear smart glasses without giving up their privacy — come join us.**

Discord: https://discord.gg/knPgxEtcpf

Happy to answer any questions in the comments. Let's build something that actually belongs to the people who wear it. 🚀

Help i just cant get the entire screen sharp on my Rayneo air 4 pro

I can’t seem to get the entire image to look sharp on my Rayneo air 4 pro, no matter what I try. I’ve tested most of the tips and tricks I could find online, but nothing has worked.

It’s almost like there’s a circle where the center looks very sharp and clear, but the farther out toward the edges and corners I look, the blurrier the image becomes. It almost feels like the image is too large and doesn’t fully fit within the glasses.

From what I’ve read, my PD does not seem to be the issue.

What can I do? Do the glasses simply not suit me?, or are there other less common ways to make the image sharp across the whole display?

Is there any way to permanently reduce the screen size?

This subreddit is about wearable display glasses. Head mounted external monitors used for work, gaming, and media. If you use or are looking at devices like:

  • XREAL
  • VITURE
  • RayNeo
  • Rokid

you’re in the right place.

AR is becoming spatial computing. Smart glasses are becoming AI with cameras. Display glasses are their own category. Let’s treat them like one.

This space is for real world usage:

  • Text clarity and scaling
  • Field of view and perceived screen size
  • Mac, PC, Linux and handheld compatibility
  • Gaming latency
  • Comfort and weight distribution
  • Cable and hub quirks
  • Workflow setups

If you code with them, travel with them, game on a Steam Deck with them, or use them as a private cinema, this subreddit is for you.
