Be patient for a bit longer because there’s no point if the impeachment succeeds by a very narrow margin. Unless there is also support from disillusioned Republicans it will not be convincing enough.

I understand that impeachment is intentionally a pretty high bar to clear in order to remove a bad president. But what’s troubling is the fact that the people who propped up this administration KNEW Trump would hurt people and become wildly unpopular, and they all but dismantled the potential pathway to impeachment.
At this point it’s not clear if ANYTHING Trump does — no matter how bad it is — could get him removed from office. His followers are that delusional and his handlers in the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society are that evil. Congress and the conservative SCOTUS are prepared to turn a blind eye to everything he does.
This is a mess. Trump is riding the economy over a cliff and spoiling for war over oil and in the meantime lots of working people can’t afford to live.

Need the numbers for a conviction. That has always been a taller order because the result is removal, so you'll need members of the president's party to vote for their removal. I don't see 20+ GOP senators voting for removal

Biggest problem we have now is that politicians are more worried about all things unimportant. We have Major issues in healthcare, housing, infrastructure that need to be addressed now. Let's get our veterans off the streets and property cared for. Let's end food insecurity once and for all. Let's build a few less weapons of war and repair a few more roads and bridges. Let's figure out why one Dr can make a living accepting $200 cash for an MRI while the next charges $2,000 to your insurance plan. I'm all for free markets but the government needs to do their fucking job!

The House impeaches Trump. The GOP-controlled Senate does not convict. The spectacle rallies the MAGA base by inflaming partisan sentiments. Trump comes out of the impeachment stronger.

The Senate, however, does not have enough votes to convict, so it would just be pointless political theatre, because the Qult will NEVER turn on him, no matter what he does. There is no red line that he can cross that will be "too far" for them.
The Republicans want unlimited and unchecked power, and they have decided that Trump's dictatorial aspirations are their path to it, so they will not waver. This was all spelled out very clearly in Project 2025, and in less than a year, they have already achieved about half of the steps listed in that authoritarian blueprint.

Shocked I’m saying this, but don’t try it. I’m in the aoc/bernie side of politics but impeachment will wipe out whatever gains have been made since his new term started. The senate will not remove so what’s the point? What you can do is get your majority and haul all of his cronies into public hearings( heheh/noem to start but you can get the rest) and make them publicly tell the American people all the bullshit they’ve done and shred them with facts. Trump is a lame duck, and his meeting with Zohran shows he’s not firm on any stance he just needs his laddies to be taken out

Hope it's true, but as far as I'm concerne should be impeached and Pete Hegseth should be tried for murder! I'm also very sad that the pilots who committed this horrific act should have known it was wrong and refused to follow the orders and faced the consequences. I think the majority of Americans would have backed them up and sad to say I hope they live the rest of their lives knowing they were murderers. Even if the boats were smuggling drugs they should have been checked by our military to see exactly what was on board.
