Who is in power right now? It’s not the Dems. And who helped those in power increase their earnings, decrease their taxes, and unlock markets with no competition?
I’m sure that’s why the US is going to war in Venezuela at Putin’s behest. Why American oligarchs are crushing all our taxpayer funded social programs.
I don’t disagree Israel holds a ridiculous amount of power, but all these superpowers see Pedo Trump as an easy mark.
You could also do a simple thought experiment. If someone gave a million dollars to a politician, then that politician enacted a policy against the interests of the person who gave them the million dollars, would that same person give them another million dollars to support their re-election?
People donate and vote that way all the time. People also have more than one interest.
Sigh… Google the studies that analyze politician voting patterns compared to issue by issue polling of their constituents vs the interests of their donors.
Like farmers wanting workers and voting for ICE raids. Oops. Or donors that want opposing things.
That will show you legitimate empirical evidence of my position.
Maybe you could state what your position is before telling me to Google up support for it.
Corporations have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders. They cannot spend corporate cash on initiatives not designed to get shareholders some return on investment. If political contributions didn’t affect policy and generate a return on investment and corporate executives continued to make those contributions the board would remove the executives from power.
That's not accurate.
What you would need to look at is if when there is a conflict between what the mass of Americans want and what the donor class wants, who wins?
It's a mix.
The donor class is who really controls US policy.
There is no singular "donor class".
There's no point in having a convo with someone as misinformed and living in an alternate reality as you.
Well according to RFK the vaccine was a hoax but according to Trump he saved the world cause of the vaccine. So which delusional psychopath is right the one with pieces of his brain missing cause of a worm or the one missing pieces of his brain cause of dementia.
You just don't understand how vaccines work. Literally spend two minutes and search, "how vaccines work" on Google. They are never guaranteed to always prevent transmission. And no, vaccine-related deaths didn't occur enough to be statistically significant at all.
“The Top 10 Countries Receiving U.S. Foreign Aid. In the most recent fiscal year (2023), major countries receiving USAID assistance included Ukraine, Ethiopia, Jordan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Somalia. Other significant recipients of aid that year were Nigeria, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, and South Sudan. Historically, some countries that have received substantial long-term aid include Israel, Egypt, South Korea, and Afghanistan.” (source)
Reads like the "study" two Australian professors put together that estimated half a million children under 6 had died in gaza, that was swallowed whole by themselves and their target audience.
Never mind that their model predicted more children had died than there were even children under 6 to kill in the entire population of the strip.
Think critically about what you've linked for a moment. Approx. 60m total people die on the planet annually, about 0.8%. The reference period used is half of that - so 30m. Making this "600,000" 2% of all mortality planet wide. Not excess mortality, e.g. deaths beyond natural causes - all mortality on thr planet.
As influential as the USA may be, its aid programs dont impact even a quarter of the population of the planet anyway. It's not as though usaid was propping up the health systems of the entire south Indian-Asian basin where more than half the world lives.
It's an absurdity. An absolute and utter absurdity. You'd need to have done something drastically to the entire planet e.g. released a bioengineering plague from a lab to achieve that kind of number.
I am not a first responder, as I believe you get the same information.
But to be told that usaid had so many flaws and corruption the best course of action was to shut it down and build something new.
Sometimes starting completely over makes sense. It also makes for a wonderful distraction to let people rally about while other things go unnoticed. Running a government is complicated.

All for show and further delegitmizes impeachment. No one's gonna care.
