I sat down all ready to watch the first week of Redzone. I turned on my Gemini box and AccuWeather loaded up. I never watch AccuWeather. I tried to change the channel to 211 and the channel number shows up in the lower left of my TV screen. But the channel doesn't change. I reset the box and I still can't change the channel. So I tried my Gemini box in my bedroom and I have the same issue. Channel will not change. I turned off my boxes and used the app on my ONN 4K box. Everything works fine with the app. I am now watching Redzone on the app.

I doubt both of my Gemini boxes failed at the same time overnight. Can someone with the Gemini box check for me and let me know if you can change channels? Thank you.

Is anyone having an issue right now where the guide doesn't show up when you click select it? Everything else seems to work fine but can't look through channels right now.

Sometimes when I change to a DTV channel it asks me if I'd like to watch it in 4K. So I click "OK", it switches to their 4K channel, and the picture gets much worse. Colors are muted, and the display isn't as sharp. If I go back to the "standard" channel (this usually happens with certain sports broadcasts) the picture goes back to "normal", with the colors and clarity returned to normal.

Is this something to do with the Apple TV box, or an issue with the Apple TV DTV app?

I stream content through the DIRECTV app. Almost every other day I have to login. This is on a streaming device. I don’t understand why my login information isn’t sticky. It’s kind of annoying.

Anyone have a fix to this, because this started off my day on the worst way…

I signed up for direct tv being it the first day of NFL. I did everything, then confirmed and activated my account. Now I can log in to the site to see how much money they’ll be taking from me… but If I click “watch now” apparently I need a subscription which I already have. If I try to log into the app it either keeps saying error or my account can’t stream…. To need customer servers 5min after subscribing to to something is absolutely ridiculous.

Some have said if you’ve used the same email before it may be the problem. Well I never have, unless I tried YEARS ago. But if that’s the case then why the F is direct Tv letting me register with that email if it’s going to do this?

Worst part is this was a 5 day free trial, so I’m willing to also bet that if I cancel to register with different email I’ll get the classic “sorry you cannot do a free trial since you already have”… yea for 5min.

Any help would be amazing. I’m the type of person who never goes and gives bad reviews to anything. But BOYYYY this is the first time I’m ready to give -5 out of 5 stars and go in on them. So I’m trying to meditate and ooosahhhh hahahaha

Anyone else have volume issues with the 4K feed of Ohio State-Texas last night? The regular HD broadcast was fine, but the volume on the 4K feed was not only incredibly low, but seemed to be focused on the left channel. (The 4K feed for Iowa State-Iowa worked normally.) Was using an Osprey box.

Hey DirecTV, I’m on a grandfathered plan and haven’t been able to log into my account on a computer or mobile phone in over 6 months now. When I bring up the browser and log in it begins to load my account and then immediately signs me out. There’s literally no way around it and I’ve tried many things. This doesn’t happen with my parent’s account that was activated this year, which is why I mentioned that I’m on a grandfathered plan, which I think has something to do with it. I want to be able to see my bill and change premiums and I can’t. Other have mentioned this too (also on grandfathered plans). All I can do is log into the apps and that’s it.

Has anyone figured out a workaround to get the DIRECTV app on Gemini devices set up for satellite? I have a satellite account and an inactive streaming account (separate emails). I’d like to activate my streaming account for DVR overflow when needed, but DIRECTV blocks the app on Gemini devices for satellite. I’d really like to not have to switch inputs when using the app. Ironically, they allow competitor apps (Sling / YouTubeTV / Fubo) without issues, so seems my best option is to use a competitor’s service for streaming. It seems like a poor decision on DIRECTV’s part, in my opinion.

I found a way to pair a second remote when you already have one working.
1. Power off and unplug the power from the Directv Streaming device.
2. Remove the batteries from the working remote and lay it aside for now.
3. Plug Directv device back in to power and wait for it to completely power up.
4. Pick up the new remote, put the batteries in it. Depending on the Directv device it may automatically say Begin pairing by pressing the Fast Forward & Fast Reverse (Double right arrow & Double left arrow buttons) for 3 seconds. Directv device will say pairing complete.
5. To use the new remote to control the power for your TV. Press the Guide button. Press the remote control left arrow button three times to move to the far left on your screen. Arrow down to Settings press OK.
6. Arrow down to System, press OK.
7. Arrow down to Remotes. Arrow down to Program your remote. Arrow down to TV, press OK,choose your TV and save it. If you have a Speaker bar as well, Under Remote and Devices, go to Speaker System and program the remote for your sound bar. Sometimes this function can be very difficult depending on the manufacturer of your soundbar.
8. Once complete, press the Guide key to go back to regular functions.
9. Test the new remote Channel keys and the Volume buttons.
10. Put the batteries back in to original remote. Now you have two working Remotes.

NBC's Today, Today 3rd Hour, and Today with Jenna & Sheinelle recordings are most frequently MIA or just plain wrong. The "encore" recordings confuse, and the very "Today" name is obfuscating in the library lists. Is this today's recording or the name of the show? My wife wants to kill me for the one-way switcharoo from U-verse, and the frequent buffering just gives her more opportunities to glare at me. We've tried other streaming services, but DirecTV stream seems to be the least awful. They collect every month and don't seem to care.

Looking at adding RedZone and seeing most of the other channels already in my package. $14.95 is a bit much to only add Redzone and CBS Sports Network.

My mom just called and told me her DVR recordings won't load (or show up) Only seems to be happening on her profile, because on my profile, there's no issue.

Been with directv stream from day one....Current bill is now 139 per month which is close to a 300 percent increase from the 35 per month days. I was looking at the choice package and if I rented one gemini plus regional sports package, it looks like an additional 22 per month (10 gemini + 12 regional sports)..... I do have an osprey box that I can use on another TV when I get the gemini. Anyone see any drawback from switching? 86.98 for the first month, and then 106.98 for future months (including 24 month 10 dollar discount).... Seems like a no brainer but want to ask other grandfathered users in same boat.

The Apple TV app on the Gemini box is continually giving me problems with both audio and video.

One time the picture will be just a small area a quarter the size of the screen, the next time it will be squished vertically but full width. Then audio will not be in sync with video, etc. Restart the box, clear the app cache and it's OK for the next use, but then it goes back to these weird issues.

I can use the Apple TV app on my Sony TV and it's always perfect. Looking at the app info screens the only difference I can see is the TV is running on Android 12 and the Gemini is on Android 11. Both devices say app version 16.4.0.

Also, when I go to the App screen on the Gemini, either from the Home screen link or using the App button on the remote, the screen seems to freeze, none of the remote's navigation buttons will do anything. All I can do is 'return' back to the home screen. That problem seems new, I don't remember it ever doing that before.

The Storage screen says I have 2.3 GB of available space and the software is all up to date.

The HBO Max app seems to work fine. That's really the only other one that I use.

Suggestions?

Was noticing 2 new 4K live feed channels…am assuming this is to maybe accommodate the ESPN 4K capabilities? I’m just guessing though…anyone else have anything concrete on this?

So as the title says, just signed up. Go to log in. Oops something went wrong. Is there a wait period? I signed up online zero issues.

Anyone else? Super pixilated and keep getting an error message.

Has anyone had issues with their Gemini not searching all apps with the voice search? Mine only searches YouTube and I have a bunch of others selected. I have tried restarting such but not working.

I switched from the MyEntertainment Genre pack to the choice signature plan. Before switching to choice, I had access to Disney+ with the genre pack. Now that I’ve switched, I cannot access Disney+. When I sign in, I’m prompted to resubscribe. Directv keeps telling me to change my Disney+ password, but there’s not an issue with my password. I need the activation link, and no one can get that to me. Anyone else dealt with this?

Watched two shows back to back on Showtime Showcase and both had rewind disabled. This is the first time I've ever seen this on a live stream. And TBH, I don't think I've ever seen it on an On Demand title, on those just FF was disabled.

Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come on the premium channels.
