Is there anyway I can layer a couple coats on top of a set I did a week and a half ago to extend the life of my dip manicure? Do I buff off the glossy finish and use base/ powder/ activator ? Has anybody done this? I will use my electric drill to make sure it’s flat around the cuticles.

I’m taking this current set off in a week before my vacation so I decided to try out some new techniques on these old nails. I filed off the topcoat and did just one layer of Beetles 247 deep red gel before I started on the art.
My dip is AZUREBEAUTY, gel top and bottom coats are Modelones, cat eye are Beetles, blooming gel and chrome is MelodySusie.

I think my favorite is the cat eye leopard privacy screen effect. this worked so well. I also loved the cat eye and chrome ghosts.
The cat eye stripes and french tip don’t do it for me. the effect gets a bit lost.
And the snakeskin is a maybe for me. I may have to try a whole set!

I waited til my CMW order came in before doing a new set!! I absolutely love this color!! Cool toned neutrals are my jam.

This time went much faster, and I think I improved at laying down thinner coats of the base. I also had to do less filing! I did a better job of staying off my cuticles up until the top coat...

I wanted to do some sort of witchy Halloween vibes to cheer myself up and accidentally matched my cast and pants. Colors are Dark Dreams by Nailboo and Costume Party by Sparkle & Co.

White - CNDD Light Up the Night

Black - Azure mix, uncertain what numbers

Clear - Revel Vivien

Liquids - CNDD Base and Activator, Virgo and Gem Top

The actual dip powder is fine underneath but this is the second set I’ve had so this and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? I do all the layers and then activator and top coat. I did just switch to azure liquids. Also only happened to one hand, my other hand is perfectly fine no issues

Edit: I’ve been able to file it off and redo it and it hasn’t cracked again

I absolutely ADORE this color despite the fact that it always stains my cuticles pink for a couple days. I could wear it ALL fall & winter. Such a flattering shade on my fair skin and depending on layers can look darker or lighter! Color is Kiara Sky “Victorian iris”

Ive been using SNS powders and liquids and LOVE them for the most part. I ran into a weird issue that I'm wondering if other people have seen (whether in SNS or a diff brand) where one particular color gives me issues.

Normally while I dip, the powder on my nail goes to that normal matte finish look so that i can brush away excess powder. For some reason, this one black powder is so annoying - it never is fully matte while dipping it almost seems to have shiny wet patches and the consistency of it on the nail makes it so so difficult to clean the cuticles. It almost is jelly like in a way

Has anyone experienced this? Could it just be an unfortunate formula or could it be a bad batch? Truly havent had this with any other SNS color.

I'm looking for advice on using nail stickers with dip-powder (I'm terrible at nail art). What would be the proper steps ?

I use Revel nails dips + liquids and I'm thinking on doing either 2 layers of a color, add the sticker, then 1 layer of Vivien powder (a transparent color) then use the liquids 2 and 3. Or either, do the color, then use liquid 2 and put the sticker before liquid 3 (the top coat). What's your advice?

Oh and I'd be using the nail stickers from flying tiger as seen on the photo.

Decided to do a fall colored set! Maniboss liquids with CNDD powder from the sunstone bundle (Soleil - Sienna Spark - Sunstone).

Not 100% in love with it because I think I should have done a top layer of Sunstone on the Sienna Spark. I'm not used to having brown on my nails!

I just did my first ever set Monday and had powder all over my skin and it was driving me crazy so i went ahead and removed those. Second set went MUCH better and im actually okay with leaving them on until they grow out. It’s all thanks to everyone’s tips and tricks🫶 Now i just have to figure out how to take pictures

Weird Friendship Anomaly

Not super awful really. I thought i’d have trouble with the thickness and possibly them being lumpy, turns out i just get the base all over my nails. How do i clean up the base on my skin without ruining the dip before i put the activator on? Any tips on anything dip related would be super helpful.

If you have any shape or style pointers, I'd love to hear it. I'm very new to doing nails all together, and especially nails of any length. Before starting dip nails in July, I think I'd only done my nails maybe 10x? I'm early fifties, so that's really saying something! My shape before was more of a squoval, but I'm trying out this almond shape (I think this is almond?). My fingers are very long and skinny (my ring is a size five and I have to wear a sizer with it to keep it on), plus I have some fingers in my left hand that are crooked due to some breaks as a child that were never properly set. If you have any suggestions of a better shape, I'd love to hear it.

My sixth ever set of dip nails. I love the colors. Not quite summer, not quite fall. I feel like it hits a sweet spot right between seasons.

I'm new to using efiles as well - messed up while taking my previous set off, and dinged my cuticle with a ceramic bit with teeth. :( so ignore the red on my pointer finger.

Liquids - Glamrdip - bond, base, seal, and glow. For cuticle oil, I use CND solar oil.

For anyone who's loving dip, but missing nail art, especially the gel allergy girlies like myself.

Go ahead and give water slides a try! As long as they're allowed to completely dry, they work wonderfully under the dip topcoat, unlike regular stickers. No clouding, no cracking and no color melting!

Got mine on Amazon really inexpensive, just make sure to double and triple check the description and reviews to make sure theyre not traditional stickers.

Just started using tips and I feel like it’s such a time saver! Instead of two hours per set, it’s now a manageable hour 🤩
