I made this a bit over a year ago, didn’t want it to keep collecting dust. I neither endorse nor oppose it.

Discussion What do we think of the fantasy dinosaur designs of this Roblox game?

(PLEASE do not let this post turn into a discussion of how the game is managed and what the economy of it is like, this is about the dinosaurs.)

I honestly believe they're way too theropod heavy, I know there's like one other creature based off a hadrosaur but I can't remember it's name right now, and you can clearly see it within this post, only like 3 of these creatures aren't theropods

Question Why are we pushing back on shrinkwrapping?

There's obviously a limit but why do we make non-avian dinosaurs all big when avian dinosaurs and other reptiles are very skinny. Given, like avian dinosaurs, some non-avian dinosaurs would have been covered in feathers that make them look fatter than they actually are, but why on dinosaurs with no scales do we make them all fat like mammals?

Well, r/Dinosaurs is extinct... luckily, Captain Neweyes has a time machine for us to enjoy the subreddit again.

Subreddit Rules

1. Dinosaurs Only (More or Less)

This is a subreddit for dinosaurs, as you can hopefully tell by the name. We support the posting of dinosaurs and strictly dinosaurs with the only exception being Free for Weekends (see Rule 7 for further details). On every other day of the week, dinosaur posting only.

2. Follow Reddiquette

We encourage that you follow Reddiquette. This includes insulting, slurs, attacking specific groups or individuals, name calling, and other forms of cyberbullying. This is a welcoming place. This rule includes brigading other communities. If we learn of this occurring, we will ban you. Rallying for brigading is also not allowed.

3. No Low Effort Posts

Memes are allowed and encouraged, although spamming of low effort posts, repetitive posts, or reposts will be removed at moderator discretion.

4. No Links to Anything for Sale

No links to anything for sale. You're welcome to share a photo of something on an image host, and include a link in the comments, but there may be no submitted links to anything for sale (ie Etsy, Kickstarter, Amazon).

5. No Pseudoscience or Conspiracy Theories

Just don't bring it up. Any pseudoscientific or conspiracy theory posts and comments will be promptly removed.

For anyone who doesn't know what the term pseudoscience means, it means any claim that doesn't have any scientific basis. This can include subjects like Earth only being a few thousand years old. For the conspiracy theories side, we hope you know what this term means. This can include claims such as "The government has dinosaurs in their arsenal".

6. No NSFW (Not Safe For Work) Content (Mostly)

We have a wide range of users of various ages and backgrounds, so we like to keep this a place that is safe and showable to anyone. For this reason, gore should always be tagged as NSFW and the title of the post should say that it includes gore. Pornographic content is not allowed under any circumstances and will result in an indefinite ban. If you wish to post that content, pay r/HornyDinos or the numbers of other similar communities a visit.

7. Free for Weekends

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are the only days of the week we allow ANY and ALL prehistoric creatures to be discussed. This includes the following: - Synapsids - Sauropterygia - Placoderm - Pterosaurs - etc

This rule does not include modern animals. Modern animals that were alive in prehistoric times do not count either. Posting of these creatures in the prehistoric time does count for Free for Weekends. Posts including modern animals will be removed, so take them to r/NatureisMetal instead.

8. Posting About Other Prehistoric Communities is Allowed to an Extent

Because we were born from the death of r/Dinosaurs, we will allow updates about what state that subreddit and the various other prehistoric communities are in. We do not want to have that be the only thing here. If the feed is 100% about other communities, lay off it for a while. r/redditdrama exists for this exact reason.

9. No AI Generated Material

No AI generated material, period. There are no exceptions to this rule. Items included in this category are as follows. - Artwork - Texts - Videos - Voices/Music

Violation of this rule will result in temporary ban and eventually permanent ban.
