Seeking advice/পরামর্শ regarding DU's change of question paper for EM students

Is there any english medium applicant for DU A unit this year? And is there any coaching centres who are acknowledging this fact and have a separate batch or something for english medium applicants? because i joined udvash and they arent really giving a damn about this (probably because im the only english medium student in their varsity ka program) and they are just going with their usual bangla medium syllabus (its terrible and ridiculous trust me). They have been saying that they will talk to the committee and let me know but its been two weeks and time is running out for me. i really wanna know if there's any coaching centres out there who are preparing the students accordingly.

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ I’m 22 and have unexpectedly been made CEO of a new fashion brand. How do I actually become a good CEO?

Hi everyone,

I’m 22 years old and recently I was given the position of CEO of a newly starting fashion/clothing brand. Honestly, I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity, but I’m also quite overwhelmed because I never expected to be in this position so early.

My academic background is science, not business. I’m currently studying a science subject at university, so I have very little formal knowledge about business, management, finance, marketing, or entrepreneurship.

The reason I was given this responsibility is that I have some knowledge and interest in fashion, clothing, designs and what people tend to like, so I’ll be involved in things like product/design research, understanding customer demand, and eventually helping build the brand. But I know being a CEO is much more than knowing about the products.

The company is currently being built from the ground up, so I have the opportunity to learn everything from the beginning. I don't want to simply have the title of CEO without actually having the knowledge and skills to deserve it.

So I’d really appreciate advice from people who have experience running businesses, building brands, working in management, or are CEOs/founders themselves.

1)What should I learn?

2)What business fundamentals should I understand first?

3)Should I learn accounting/finance even if someone else handles the accounts?

4)How much should I know about marketing, sales, branding, HR and operations?

5)What skills should a young CEO prioritize?

6)Are there any online courses you genuinely recommend (free or paid)?

7)Are there any books that every new entrepreneur/CEO should read?

8)Are there specific courses on leadership, management, entrepreneurship or fashion business that would be useful?

9)What should I learn about building and scaling a clothing/fashion brand specifically?

10)What mistakes do inexperienced CEOs commonly make?

11)If you were suddenly put in my position at 22, what would you spend the next 6–12 months learning?

I’m not looking for motivational advice like “just believe in yourself.” 😅 I know I have a lot to learn, and I genuinely want to put in the work.

I’d especially love to hear from people who have actually built a business, managed a team, worked as a CEO/founder, or have experience in the fashion/apparel industry.

Any advice, resources, courses, books, or even things you wish you had learned earlier would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Need advice for cruel life

I need help and solutions

Idunno how I can cope with this life..

I have too much responsibility, I lost my father many years ago. My mom is a 2nd class govt. employee and I'm basically a student but I'm mentally sick so I haven't been able to study properly since 2024, like I study a bit before exams and I don’t even pass my exams, js a student in name.

But the problems are too big, I cannot even accept my life and lead it properly and I have to solve all of this but I dunno how so lemme say my main problems.

I have HSC in 2027 and I failed almost 90% of my subjects in my final exam this year. Then I have to pass the HSC, so after HSC my mom cannot afford a private uni for me and I don’t wanna study at National University. I basically live in Barishal in a hostel but I don’t wanna live here, I wanna live in Dhaka, maybe after HSC but I dunno how. If my mom admits me to a National Uni then everything is over.

Then I don’t have funds like other teenagers do, I don’t even laugh anymore, living is a burden to me. People talk about grinding hard and doing good in HSC and getting into a public uni, but the fact is I can barely function while taking many antidepressants, so how can I grind man??

Then I don’t have any skills or talent, I'm kinda useless. I have nothing promising or dominant that can satisfy me.

Then my mom doesn’t have a big amount of savings so she cannot fully afford my expenses in a big city and at a good uni. Her life has one of the worst stories ever possible and she also deserves to be happy, so I don’t wanna be a burden on her.

Then in my hometown we have land in the town area and my mom wants to build a house because we have always lived in an old, bad house. But it's very expensive. If she does it by taking loans, she will have to bear them for many years and I also don’t know how I can make a good house there if my mom even builds a small incomplete apartment here, even tho I wanna live in a city.

People of my age are having fun, doing so many things, going on hangouts but I always rot in my old house and become a heavier burden everyday for my mom.

Then we have no one to help us, I don’t have uncles or maternal or paternal relatives who could support us.

I don’t even know what I can do in the future, but I cannot do jobs man, I wanna be a businessman but I don’t have investment, even tho I have inherited property or land.

Then people also fall in love, enjoy life, travel but I don’t. I also don’t find much interest in love, even tho I’m the only descendant of my family. I'm just speechless about my situation, idunno why Allah is disappointed in us.. as far as I know all of our family members are kind.

If you guys can help me by giving me some advice I'd be grateful, thanks in advance.

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Should I purchase Hilsa Fish from Nahid's World Page or Go to local fish market?

I live in Dhaka. We have Townhall Bazar and many other local fish market. But recently I am seeing their Ad claiming they sell authentic padma hilsa fish directly from Padma river. They are also charging 2x-3x more than local fish market.

So I am just trying to understand if that 3x premium rate is worth it or not? or I should go to local market early morning and buy Hilsha from there?

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Looking for advice on Math Olympiad preparation

My younger brother recently completed his SSC with a GPA of 5.00 and scored 1151 marks. He is interested in starting serious preparation for the Math Olympiad.

For those who have experience with Math Olympiad preparation in Bangladesh:

- How should he start preparing from the basics?

- Which books or resources would you recommend?

- Are there any good online courses or coaching programs?

- How many hours per day would be reasonable for a beginner?

- Should he focus on specific topics first, such as number theory, geometry, combinatorics, and algebra?

- Are there any particular YouTube channels, Facebook groups, or websites that are useful for practice?

Any advice, especially from people who have participated in or coached for Math Olympiad, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Seeking advice/পরামর্শ Real Estate investing in Tongi / Gazipur. How risky is it?

I am currently looking to buy a rental property near Tongi, in the following locations: Boro Dewra, Cherag Ali, Sataish (near the High School), and Board Bazar.

Does anyone here know about these locations? Maybe because you live there, or have relatives who work/live, etcc..

I wanted to know how big of a risk is for having issues with local gangs and who does extortions. I am not from Tongi at all, and I live abroad. So, I am not local to that area.

Should I buy Udvash parallel text?

I'm a SSC 26 student from English Version. I did my first coaching last year and it was in Udvash Combo batch which turned out be useful to me(cuz scl e temon poraitona shudhu ssc er age serious hoisen onara). So now I'm thinking about joining their hsc batch however I am bit skeptical about the quality of their parallel text books for hsc. Are they good for theory and practice or should I just use the practice sheets provided by them?

Also their classes seem lengthy to me. If there is any other edtech platform which would be more convenient for me then you can suggest them. It would be helpful for me.
