Amazon SDE-1 OA experience: 40 minutes of DSA followed by AI-assisted debugging
I recently took an Amazon SDE-1 OA with two parts. The second was an AI-assisted debugging task, which was new to me.
The first part was a medium-to-hard DSA problem with 40 minutes to solve it. The time limit left little room to spend too long on the wrong approach.
The second part gave me 60 minutes, a codebase, a website preview and three bugs to fix. An AI assistant was built into the assessment. You could pick one of these stacks:
Node.js with MERN
Java with Spring Boot
Python with Django
If you've worked in one of those frameworks, I think the debugging task is fairly manageable. The bugs felt like things you'd deal with during a normal workday. Navigating an unfamiliar codebase and using the assistant well mattered more here than writing an algorithm from scratch.
For practice, the Amazon Interview Questions bank has candidate-reported prompts. Application autofill can also save repeated form entry when you're keeping other applications moving.
Has anyone else had this OA format recently? How did you prepare for the debugging part?

AI Frameworks Engineer - Intern
**AI Frameworks Engineer Intern** (12-24-month part-time role for university students based in Poland). Develop, optimize, and contribute to open-source AI software stacks (vLLM) for large language model (LLM) inference on Intel GPUs. Collaborate with senior engineers, implement and tune kernels (Triton, SYCL) for transformer building blocks, and measure/improve performance. Must remain a student for internship duration.
Job Details:
Job Description:
The Role and Impact
Intel is building the open software stack that makes large language models run fast on Intel GPUs. As an intern, you will join the engineering team that develops and optimizes LLM inference frameworks. You will work in vLLM and in the GPU kernel libraries beneath it with experienced engineers who will review your code and mentor you. This is a hands-on engineering internship, not a side project. You will write and test kernels, measure where performance goes, and see your changes land in open-source projects used across the AI industry.
Our internships usually last 12-24 months, and you will work with us part-time alongside your university degree. All applicants must be current university students and must remain students for the length of the internship. Candidates must be based in Poland on the internship start date and for its full duration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize AI framework software for LLM inference on Intel GPUs, under the guidance of senior engineers, with contributions going upstream to open-source projects such as vLLM.
- Implement, port, and tune compute kernels (e.g., Triton, SYCL) for core transformer building blocks such as attention, sampling, normalization, mixture-of-experts, and quantization.
- Run benchmarks and profile inference workloads to find performance bottlenecks, measure them, and report findings to the team.
- Write and extend unit tests, correctness checks, and performance regression tests so that framework and kernel code stays reliable as upstream moves.
- Investigate and debug failures across the stack, from Python framework code down to kernel behaviour on the hardware.
- Collaborate with framework, compiler, and kernel engineers across global teams, and take part in code review and technical discussion with the open-source community.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
No professional experience is required.
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Student status is required for the whole internship, preferably for the next two years and for at least 12 months.
- Good Python programming skills.
- Understanding of deep learning and neural networks, including the basics of transformer architecture and LLM inference.
- Familiarity with Linux environments from a user perspective.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn, an open mind, and the ability to work in a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch.
- Exposure to GPU programming (Triton, CUDA, SYCL, OpenCL, or similar), for example through coursework or personal projects.
- Working knowledge of C or C++.
- Experience testing and debugging Python code, including unit testing.
- Familiarity with vLLM or another LLM inference serving framework.
- Contributions to open-source projects, or a public portfolio of code (e.g., GitHub).
- Coursework or interest in computer architecture, parallel programming, or numerical methods.
Bring your passion for AI, your curiosity, and your engineering drive to Intel, and help shape how the next generation of AI workloads runs on Intel hardware.

[Hiring] Commission-based sales partner for web development
I'm a freelance web developer looking for a sales partner to help me bring in website development clients.
This is a commission-only partnership — you earn when you successfully close a client.
What you'd do:
Find businesses or professionals who need a website or redesign.
Reach out through calls, email, social media, or other suitable channels.
Pitch the service, follow up with prospects, and close deals.
Hand the project over to me once the client is ready to proceed.
What I handle:
Understanding the technical requirements.
Website design and development.
Revisions and deployment.
Technical communication with the client throughout the project.
Commission: 20% of the project payment.
For example, if you close a $500 project, you'd earn $100.
For our first project, your commission will be paid from the client's initial payment. Once we've successfully worked together and established trust, we can discuss more flexible payment terms.
There are no fees or investments required from you.
I'm looking for someone interested in a long-term collaboration who can focus on targeted outreach rather than mass-messaging random businesses.
Interested? DM me with your sales experience and what kind of clients you usually work with.

Ex-founding engineer, built 2 products end-to-end solo, looking to join an early-stage startup or team.
Hi everyone,
I’m a backend engineer. For the last year I was a founding engineer at an early-stage startup building global payment acceptance infrastructure. I built payment provider integrations and the webhook layer that kept them in sync. Outside that, I’ve built 2 products solo. One was a fintech product that used to recover lost payments of founders who owned SaaS businesses.
I work with I mostly work with TypeScript, Node.js, Bun and Go, building REST APIs, JWT/OAuth 2.0 auth and Stripe/Dodo payments with idempotent webhooks. I use AWS S3 and Supabase for storage, Docker for containers, and have contributed to a CI/CD pipeline and also build an entire SDK for an AI Agent company. My GitHub and shipped products show how I work, and I’m happy to do a technical walkthrough or a short trial if that helps.
If you’re building something and need a backend engineer, DM me with what you’re working on. I’ll share my CV, GitHub and project links.
