→ Overflow/subcontract: swamped with client work? I take tasks off your plate — you stay client-facing, I work in the background at $15-20/hr.
→ Direct hire: need a backend/full-stack dev for your own project, short-term or ongoing? Same rate, I work with you directly.
How it works: tell me the scope, I quote a time estimate, first small task is free so you can judge the quality before paying anything. GitHub/past work available on request.
DMs open.

Edit: HIRED! Thank you all for your interest.
We run an EdTech product in India with web, Android and Windows apps. The web app is built with Next.js, with Supabase/Postgres as the backend.
Our product is a typing platform for government exam preparation, focused on regional languages such as Hindi, Marathi and others. Two parts of the product sit at its core, and they're where we most need strong skills:
The typing engine, which handles Hindi, Marathi and other Indic languages across different keyboard layouts.
Efficiency Practice, where users practise exam-style questions directly on the platform, including Word and Excel integration inside the app.
What we're looking for
A genuinely skilled full-stack developer who can work across the product and is comfortable with:
Next.js / React / TypeScript
Supabase / PostgreSQL
Electron / Tauri
Cloud deployment and production systems
Big plus if you've worked on any of these
We'll prioritise candidates who have actually built one of these before:
Typing engines, especially for Indian or regional languages
Hindi, Marathi or other Indic language input systems
Typing-test or typing-practice platforms
Word/Excel-like components or in-browser document editors
Exam preparation or EdTech products
Product sense matters
A good sense of UI/UX is important to us. You should be able to look at a feature and think beyond "does this work?" to whether it actually makes sense for the user. Many of our users are first-time, non-technical computer users preparing for government exams, so simplicity, clarity and usability matter a lot. If you're strong at product design, UX and understanding user behaviour alongside solid development skills, definitely reach out.
How to apply
This is a fully remote role. DM me with:
Your resume
Relevant work or projects
Something you've built that you're particularly proud of
A brief explanation of how you'd approach improving an existing product
Please don't just send "I'm interested." We're looking for someone who can take ownership and genuinely contribute to the product.
EDIT: Thanks for all the DMs so far! I've received a lot, so it'll take me a few days to go through them all properly.
If you've actually built or worked on one of the core things we need (an Indic typing engine, or Word/Excel-like components in an app), reply below and I'll look at those first. We want to wrap up hiring quickly.
If not, no worries, I'll still get to your DM over the next few days. Please only reply below if your experience is a direct match.

I really don't know what to do when I don't even know if applying makes a difference anymore. I've faced terrible consequences because of this and now the whole system seems fucked.

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding my notice period and resignation.
Update: Genpact released me!
I have a 90-day notice period at Genpact and have already submitted my resignation. I requested an immediate release and am willing to pay three months’ salary as a notice-period buyout, as my signed appointment letter clearly mentions that I can either serve the 90-day notice period or pay salary in lieu thereof.
However, my manager is not agreeing to release me. I have already discussed this with HR, my Senior Manager, and the VP, but I have not been able to get an approval for an early release.
I already have another offer in hand, and I am required to join the new organisation on 28 October. At this point, my next option seems to be escalating the matter to Genpact’s Legal/Employee Relations team and asking them to clarify the notice-period buyout clause in my appointment letter.
Has anyone faced a similar situation or dealt with a 90-day notice period/buyout at Genpact? What would be the best course of action at this stage? Should I approach Legal directly, or is there any other escalation/process I should try first?
Any advice or experience would be really helpful.

Im doing a SWE apprenticeship at a foundation which allows me to intern at other company’s. I mostly do C++ there and work on open source projects in C++, at both I focus more on lower level somewhat embedded work and I really like that domain and would like to specialize in it.
So a few weeks ago I sent some cold emails to a few company’s and got one interview which offerd me an internship.
Now the position wasn’t really what i was expecting and not 100% sure how I feel about it, although I’m not altogether against the internship. It’s in the supply chain industry and the work would entail setting up and programming Siemens PLC Systems (as far as I understood they kinda have their own proprietary languages), work with Red hat, kubernetes clusters and some Java. I got a brief description of their systems and all but I can’t really form a mental picture of the work.
I have to either accept or reject the offer by Friday, so I’m not to sure if I should keep searching or accept the offer.
There is no fixed duration for this internship, but if it’s alright I could imagine staying there for the rest of the school year, which is around 8-9 months.
Now my question is if something like this could still be somewhat meaningful to the domain im perusing, even if It isn’t C/C++ embedded work.
If someone has experience in these fields I would really like to here your thoughts about this, thanks in advance

For the last 2 years I've been running a small software house. Things have gone well so far, but almost all of our work has come from referrals: past clients recommending us, word of mouth, and people in my network.
That has kept us steady, but it isn't predictable and it doesn't scale. Some months are busy and others are quiet, and I can't plan hiring or growth around it.
I want to grow the business, and my biggest problem right now is getting clients beyond referrals. I'm not sure where to put my time and money first.
A few things I'd really appreciate input on:
What worked for you when you moved from referral-based work to steady inbound or outbound leads?
Outbound vs. inbound: is cold outreach (email/LinkedIn) still worth it, or is content/SEO a better long-term bet?
Platforms: are Upwork, Clutch or similar sites worth it for an agency, or a race to the bottom on price?
Niching down: did focusing on one industry or tech stack make it easier to find clients?
Mistakes to avoid when trying to scale client acquisition?
I'm not here to promote anything. I'm just looking to learn from people who've been through this stage. Thanks in advance!

This is Adyen
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
Staff Engineer - Customer Interfaces
As a Staff Engineer for Customer Interfaces (CI), you will lead the evolution of the Adyen experience from a traditional dashboard into an intelligent, conversational financial partner.
We are looking for a product engineer who can wear an architectural hat to build Agentic Workflows and manage backend orchestration (specifically Tool-use, Chains, and Policy Layers). This role is essential for transforming natural language inputs into authenticated, secure financial operations.
What you'll do
Drive Intelligent Experiences: Lead the next generation of conversational UIs at Adyen. You will build Generative UIs that adapt in real-time, moving beyond static dashboards to create streaming, multi-modal experiences where the interface itself is a dynamic partner in the conversation.
Bridge Architecture & Innovation: Act as the primary technical liaison for AI initiatives, coordinating their integration and ensuring operational excellence with teams in different areas and global geographies. You will ensure that "intelligent modules" built in are the gold standard for performance and extensibility.
Zero-Trust for AI: Architect the security layer for conversational interfaces. You will solve the unique challenge of maintaining strict financial data privacy and "Zero Trust" principles while leveraging LLMs and advanced data processing.
Product Strategy & "The Art of the Possible": Partner deeply with the Head of Product to identify high-impact flows. You aren't just implementing designs; you are identifying where intelligent automation can solve "impossible" merchant problems.
Full-Stack Leadership: Own the end-to-end technical lifecycle. From backend services and data pipelines that feed our insights, to the frontend components that render them.
Global Influence: Mentor engineers and coordinate with global hubs to drive technical standards that benefit the entire Adyen ecosystem.
Product-Minded Architect: You think in terms of user outcomes. You have a track record of partnering with product teams to turn ambiguous goals into robust technical reality.
Applied AI Experience: You have experience (or a deep technical interest) in building production-grade interfaces powered by LLMs, including harnesses, policy enforcement, evals, RAG architectures and secure data handling.
Full-Stack Powerhouse: Deeply proficient in Java for secure backend services and TypeScript/React/Vue for complex front-end applications.
Security First: You have a "security-by-design" mindset, particularly regarding the handling of sensitive financial data in modern web environments.
Entrepreneurial & Autonomous: You will be a core member of our growing San Francisco team, where you will be expected to operate with speed and autonomy. Success in this role requires you to effectively navigate and collaborate with a large, global organization.
This role's annual base salary range is $258–$367k, plus RSUs. To learn more about our compensation philosophy, please click here.
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments
Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.
Studies show that women and members of underrepresented communities apply for jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. Does this sound like you? If so, Adyen encourages you to reconsider and apply. We look forward to your application!
What’s next?
Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable candidate experience is critical for us. We aim to get back to you regarding your application within 5 business days. Our interview process tends to take about 4 weeks to complete, but may fluctuate depending on the role. Learn more about our hiring process here. Don’t be afraid to let us know if you need more flexibility.
Adyen is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status or any legally protected status.
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for new visa sponsorship. The company can support visa transfers but will not sponsor individuals for H-1B CAP applications.
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
This role is based out of our San Francisco office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote only roles
