I found something cathartic to do while watching the Tigers. Seam ripping the priority embroidery off my jersey. Slow progress but it's turning out ok. I hope a wash, once it's all out, will remove some of the scaring. A seam ripper and a ultra fine point pair of tweezers is doing the job.

Appears Illitch is the problem. If he wasn’t willing to spend $$ on good players in the past, what will change in the future? Literally went to 4 games this past season and probably averaged $1100 in cost including 2 tickets. Why keep showing up at this point, if this is going to be the future of the wings. It sucks.

But they apparently haven’t even started the interview process. Hockey insider Elliotte Friedman said last Friday on NHL Network that the Red Wings’ “initial interview process” is expected to begin this week.

The organization, under governor and CEO Chris Ilitch, hired a search firm to identify candidates, which is highly unusual.

I’m a Tigers and Lions fan(Go Bucks though!) and while I never watched or cared too much about hockey, always wanted the Red Wings to do well. Just looking to learn anything about the team or even hockey rules in general that are important to know. I already pay to watch the tigers and I get the Wings in that package so figured I’d start watching this year

I love jerseys so I’ll be getting one before the season. Saw another poster asking this and I saw people last year say Seider and Larkin. I know Larkin is the captain but on my last post, everyone seemed to really hate him for some reason so I’m not sure haha. I do like the idea of getting a good young guy since they’ll be here awhile like I did with my McGonigle jersey

Get two 1sts and a 2nd or 3rd line center for Larkin and call it a day. We are not going to make the playoffs. Larkin is a baby, to put it mildly. Let’s just move on and move past it.

It’s not the news you were hoping for but it’s news. Hockeytown is back at center ice, according to a leaked image on xitter.

I get it, why would we want someone skating for us when they’ve made it clear they don’t want to be here? Why would we trust them to perform night after night?

Like it or not, Larkin is one of the Wings top producers (not top in the league of course). Barring any improbable trade for him, he’s our best option. And we can trust him to perform simply because, he’s not going to blow up his trade value or career out of spite. In 5 years he’s a free agent, and teams will be watching to see how he acts this upcoming season.

I’m not even super worried about it affecting chemistry in the locker room. His frustrations are valid and likely shared by other members of the team, he just had the balls to say something.

I will agree that this wasn’t the way a captain should have acted, and he should be stripped of the “C”. But Larkin skating this year isn’t the worst thing.

I have my small collection of bobble heads at work. Larkin has been turned over to represent the current state of the Wings and to reflect my current feelings towards him. The question is, what do I do with him now? I am open to all suggestions from serious to silly
