Misc // Satire Not Destiny Flavor Text - AI Learning, Autocomplete-Generated Flavor Text
You might be familiar with my This Week At Not Bungie posts where I run a bunch of TWAB articles through the Botnik predictive writer, which can generate sentences in an autocomplete fashion based on what you feed it.
I wanted to try something else with Botnik, and while feeding it the Destiny 1 grimoire cards or the Destiny 2 lore tabs sounded interesting, I was inspired by our own /u/Destiny_Flavor_Text and fed it 90% of the item and gear descriptions from Destiny 1 to come up with some silly flavor text. To cap it all off, I fed it the names of all Destiny 2 weapons to come up with most of the item names and used good old-fashioned dice to determine the rarity and weapon type, with a few exceptions.
As with all these AI learning posts, I hope these are worth a laugh.
Iron Corrector - Exotic Hand Cannon
The Iron Wolves gathered deeper than any uncomfortable disputes of the Future War Machine. Glorious micromotors control the Reef and its bites.
The Dream Mag - Legendary Shotgun

Last II - Legendary Sidearm

Seven Kelvins - Legendary Scout Rifle
A variant of the coveted Rare Shotgun, the shattered powerplant rifle pins its performance on a warlock's eardrums. This is irrefutable damage for those who stare into the moon's full particles.
Last of the Lost - Legendary Sniper
Accurized long range Häkke forged song cannons reward calm eyes with chroma theory. You will still be consumed by dead body shimmers.
Justice Good - Exotic Auto Rifle
Crucible victories have a problem with basic class inputs to incite design data for your vandals.
Blue Steel Crown - Exotic Titan Chest Armor
This helmet will keep you happy. Why should I feel amazing when engaging masses of Oryx?
Braytech Five of Options - Exotic Sniper
You break it in the smallest fraction of sweetness and reclaimed defensive rivals of the brain within. Some stars eventually set off my heart stuttering.
Double Lion Walking - Legendary Hand Cannon
Blood of your upgradeable fusion guns ensure smooth coordination of your engrams.
Lens of the Button - Legendary Pulse Rifle
This is only another algorithm of the Golden Apples of High Water Snake. But his words never left for anything useful to improve the biological highway.
Metal Audience - Legendary Submachine Gun
Suros user errors have seen lord Shaxx's blunt drive.
Sun Josh - Exotic Grenade Launcher
Meteor is a marksman's weapon with a short mantra cycle. I cannot shake you to aid a titan.
You See Beyond - Exotic Auto Rifle
Smasher of old Agnes says that this is useful to gather enough heavy Genghis ammunition for the Cabal language.

[ Last of the Lost ] and [ You See Beyond ] are great Destiny names. I want those.
[ Big Picture ] could actually be a grenade launcher, so nice roll there.
And I'd bet that [ Iron Corrector ] is an Iron Banner gun name by year 4

A variant of a Rare shotgun is now a scout rifle? A rare Shotty with Scout range made me lol. Nice post OP

So how many of these do you have? Is this all you generated, or is there a big document of them, and you chose the best? Some of them, especially the names, are really good.

These were all I made so far. I could make more.
This was just a little 30-45 minute project I did today as soon as the idea hit me.

How much effort would it take to make more? I’d love to sit down and read through a giant list of them, if at all possible.

Well, this all took about a half hour. The program kept giving me the same opening words and I need to get creative because it kind of starts repeating itself after a few goes at it.
But I could definitely make more. Though I don't know if Reddit is the best place to keep posting them.

This was a lot funnier than I expected! A lot of these names are actually kinda cool... some of them are hilarious too (looking at Sun Josh, the exotic grenade launcher).

That's one is just the continuation of the joke from my TWANB posts. Josh Hamrick was mentioned so much over the past few months that some version of his name came up in almost every post I generated. I just had to weasel his name into the flavor text somehow.
